Obviously I’m not going to say anything that will get my post stricken or worse be evermore banished from MGTOW. I’m not a praying man but after listening to Sandman’s video and to <span style=”line-height: 1.5;”>whomever it was that replied to him, I actually found myself praying that some day soon Sandman will have the opportunity to call me a coward to my face. Enough from me on this one.</span>

PS: As a former pilot and employee in the aerospace defense industry, I think the jets are kickass! I was present at White Sands Missile Range in 1987-88 for the testing of an unmentionable combined effects munition. Definitely the payload I want to be carrying for air-to-ground playtime!

He had to know that was not going to go down well.

Honestly, I don’t think he did.

Probably the main reason I’ve never bothered listening to his videos is he’s never struck me as being very intelligent.  Just money grubbing.

And I think that’s become a good indicator to me for separating out the MGTOW from the posers.  Despite whatever they might claim, the more someone appears be trying to profit from MGTOW, the less likely they actually are one.  Sandman is just more evidence of that.

Another reason why I don’t spend much time watching MGTOW YouTube content.

The Children of Doom... Doom's Children. They told my lord the way to the Mountain of Power. They told him to throw down his sword and return to the Earth... Ha! Time enough for the Earth in the grave.

Subscribers and popularity is not a reliable indicator of value.

Precisely. Get a hot chick to host a channel dedicated to top ten lists dealing with pop culture and you’ll have millions of subscribers.

As much as I liked his videos at times, he always struck me as an actual purple pill guy, what a shame, once the “NAWALT” of his, has eaten his soul and drunk the last of his life blood, he will remember this picture, I truly hope somewhere, this will be ingrained as a remainder, when thinking with your D.

His videos on “the plantation” and “back to the plantation”, always sounded him being that guy, think many have tried it once, the hard lesson is often the best lesson.

I’ve been pretty busy lately and so am arriving late to this thread.

I may not have a completely clear picture of the issue w sandman as I don’t know all the history between mgtow.com and him.  I’ve watched only parts of a couple of his videos, and his part of the video at the top of this thread.  But apparently, there is some history between him and mgtow.com?

As for sandman and me: he is unaware of me and I am only barely aware of him.  He may refer to me however he likes, as there is not 1% of what I aspire to achieve in this life that is dependent on how he refers to me, or to mgtow.com, or to anything else.   I came to my own decision re: going my own way, largely before the internet, or mgtow, or sandman existed on any public scale.

Sandman stated in that video that he was once badly hurt by a woman, and got over it by talking about it on the internet every night.  Now, since losing a house, or losing children, or losing his freedom, or his health or more than half of his life savings are not things that a man can recover from by talking it out on the internet every night, I’m going to assume his hurt was more emotional than physical, medical or financial.  He also mentions that he is ‘smart enough’ to understand the nature of women now and treat them accordingly.  Apparently, he has not made a decision to avoid them altogether, as many mgtow here have, but he doesn’t sound as though he is married, either.  So what I’m hearing him say is that he got hurt in the process of discovering that women can be something other than what he believed, and changed his behavior toward them because he is smart… but mgtow who were hurt much worse in many more ways, and changed their behavior toward women accordingly, are cowards.

I’ve noticed in the segments of his videos that I’ve seen, that he always mentions that he is being paid to speak on the topic.  Often, he names the person who is paying him.  I assume this is the person choosing the topic?  Since I don’t know the full history between him and mgtow.com, I wonder wether his statements about mgtow are a result of his history with mgtow, or his financier’s history?

I was never hurt nearly so badly by women as an adult as many men are today.  I was able to recover the money I spent on my 2 year marriage in about 3-4 months.  I was able to recover the cost of the divorce in about 1-2 months.  I lost no house.  I lost no children.  I paid no child support or alimony.  I was never jailed or otherwise falsely accused of rape or paternity.  I was never near homeless or jobless as a result.  I never contemplated or attempted suicide, alcohol or other drugs.  Minimum time for a divorce in my state is 60 days.  Mine took 63.  I was not hurt so bad, but decided never to remarry.  According to Sandman, I’m either really, really smart… or really, really cowardly.

My childhood could best be described as hazardous.  I lived with dangerous, dishonest people, had several trips the the emergency room before age 10, and have had enough near death experiences for them not to feel so novel anymore.  But as hazardous as it was, it gave me a chance to witness and learn from the abundant mistakes of others around me, which I took advantage of to the maximum limit that I could.  As an adult, I’ve jumped from airplanes, petted sharks in the open ocean and raced motorcycles fast enough to outrun a police helicopter.  In my work, I’ve held a human heart in my hand while it beat, and felt it stop.  I’ve watched babies turn blue, and then gray…

It takes a lot to scare me.  It takes a lot more for me to trust.

I don’t gamble in casinos because I understand math well enough to know that the games there are engineered to guarantee the outcome will be contrary to my best interests.  I figured that out without having to lose all my money in one.  I don’t put my hand on a hot stove.  I understand physics well enough to know that putting my hand on a hot stove is contrary to my best interests.  I didn’t have to burn myself to figure that out either.  I don’t buy things from late night info-mercials for the same reasons.  I am not afraid of an of them, but I do not trust them.

The only requirement (as I understand it) for being mgtow is that a man cannot be married.  I agree with this as I have posted that a married man has really nothing left that is his own.  The lie of the benefit of marriage for men has been much more skillfully articulated than the lie of info-mercials, or gambling ads, or alcohol.  There is nothing cowardly about having once believed it.  In fact, for many hundreds of generations, right up until the last one or two, it was not a lie.  But the truth of it: that a man will/should spend his entire adult life sacrificing his time, effort, money, attention, health and other resources for the benefit of other people before himself is not a invitation to cowards.  IMO, accepting that invitation took enormous courage even when it was not a lie.

My answer to sandman would be that if it makes a man a coward to learn from his painful learning experiences and change his behavior so as to minimize the chance of them recurring, and share the learning from those experiences with other men for free, what does it say of a man who has a painful experience and changes his behavior so as to make money doing info-mercials about it?

The short version of my response is: sandman’s reference to me, whatever it is, is of no use or value to me.  But I can’t help wondering how much he was paid to say these things, and by whom?

Look, it's not my fault that tornado dropped a house on your sister. Now get back on your broom and get your ass out of here... and take your monkeys with you

@keymaster: The “Sandman Down” image on the front page makes it look like he’s come under attack, but he’s doing all this to himself, so I don’t know if the under attack image sends the right message.

Maybe we need one of him flying straight into a wall like a damn fool coyote in a cartoon.

Another terrific post BP. It’s more like a chapter in a book, a very good book.

But I can’t help wondering how much he was paid to say these things, and by whom?

I watched AaaronClarey’s “Misogynistic MGTOW” clip after this happened and the same thought hit me too.
There seems to be a pattern here where, once a critical mass of influence is reached, the influential person seems to do a 180 degree shock announcement that contradicts their entire premise completely.
It seems to be common knowledge that Paul Elam has some sort of political agenda too, though I have no specific knowledge of it.
His persistant recommendations of marriage and breeding being diametrically opposed to his base premise.

Political intervention is no stranger to men avoiding marriage from Roman times.
Even up to the 19th century in the USA:

By 1821, the state of Missouri applied a $1 tax on all unmarried men.[4]

The state of Michigan had made repeated attempts to instantiate a bachelor tax. In 1837, state senator Edward D. Ellis attempted to pass such a bill, but the measure failed. In 1848, a petition made it to a House committee, but did not reach the floor. In 1849, another proposal was made in a House committee that did not reach the floor. Again in 1850, another petition reached the House, but did not find a sponsor. During the civil war it was proposed again, this time as a revenue measure as opposed to a public welfare measure, but again failed to reach the floor. It was then repeatedly brought up in 1897, 1901, 1911, 1919, with the first resulting in counter proposals for a similar tax to be applied to women who reject marriage proposals and the final resulting in arguments that bachelors had a statistically higher rate of delinquency as opposed to other groups. The final proposed bill that also made the floor of the Michigan congress was in 1935 before it too failed due to economic considerations of the time. [5]
On February 12, 1898, Assemblyman Waller of the New Jersey state legislature proposed a bachelor tax as a sumptuary tax; however, the bill was not passed. [6]

The Japanese government is clearly concerned, and trying various ways to combat the sexodus and so is the Chinese government with it’s closing of loopholes that enabled women to marry and loot, thus turning even more men off marriage. It’s already a serious worldwide epidemic that governments are aware of.
Does anyone really think the current statistics of 70% of Men to the age of 34 being single and have no intention of ever marrying,,,, wouldn’t be ringing alarm bells at political level?

I’m not implying on any level that I have any knowledge whatsoever that any of these individuals are receiving any benefit of any kind from any source.
I’m simply pointing out a remarkably similar pattern.

This gentlemen is why we don’t have heroes anymore, or maybe we never did. Sandman made a video people don’t like, eh no biggie. As for being called a coward, I’ve been called worse by better. I refuse to give a f~~~ about whatever it is Sandman is doing, and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t give a Kentucky Fried F~~~ about us either. Guess what? That’s ok, because none of us individually have any say over the rest of us, neither does Sandman. I haven’t seen his video that caused this uproar, and probably won’t.

I’m still going my own way, and don’t care whether anybody likes it or not. I’m not going to get up in arms about someone (Sandman) saying something I don’t agree with, it’s just not worth it. Sandman was always in this to make money, he never hid the fact. Sooner or later the money was going to be in trashing MGTOW, I hope he was well compensated for his efforts. There are too many other MGTOW channels out there to get all verkakt over one going a different direction.

In the end it doesn’t matter what Sandy said, he doesn’t speak for any of us, he only speaks for himself. How does this change MGTOW? It doesn’t, not one little bit. There will be casualties (so to speak), traitors, and villainy of all sorts. All we have to do is do what we want to do, and we win. The rest of it is just the sound and the fury signifying nothing.

Take heart gentleman, regardless of the opinions of anyone when we do what we want we win. It’s all mind over matter, if we don’t mind they don’t matter.

Life is too long to play by someone elses rules....

Spot on!

Point to any business, company or conglomerate of any kind, anywhere. If you trace back far enough to the very beginning you’ll find a story of some guy going against all the advice of those around him and going out his own way.
When these people tell their stories of success many years later, they’ll tell you everyone around them, including their close friends and family, said they were crazy and doomed to failure.

Never allow criticism or peer pressure to prevent you going your own way.

I have a pretty good hunch who Sandman is in real life, if you’re in the right circles of the internet it’s painfully obvious.

I'm paying her 25% of my salary over the next eight years. I had to pay my lawyer, her lawyer, 50% of all my retirement funds and give her another few thousand dollars to make her go away. It cost me $20 to get married and will cost me over $220,000 to get divorced.

How did it come that nearly at the same day the S-Man F18 Hornet vid. was shown here, the Revelation video of s-man was recognized?..hap?

I’ve watched only parts of a couple of his videos, and his part of the video at the top of this thread.  But apparently, there is some history between him and mgtow.com?

There is no history or involvement with Sandman whatsoever.

Only once, we brought his attention to the “Men getting their own way” Toyota banned TV commercial where cameras are set up to show how p~~~ed off wives get when men buy they car they want without getting a woman’s permission first. He responded “Thanks for making my day!” …. that was more than a year ago (before we opened here) and we exchanged comments 3 or 4 times that day.

That is the extent of our history and involvement with Sandman.

Since we opened, every attempt to contact, every comment, every gesture, the inclusion of his videos, the articles beneath them, and even the creation of the Sandman intro to promote him as a MGTOW trooper to recognize his efforts has been met with the sound of crickets chirping. He is well aware of our presence here and made every effort to think was “too good” to acknowledge our existence.

This alone is very revealing to his character and motivations.

Sandman comes across to me as pompous ass. Thats what I have noticed as his videos have progressed over time.

His behavior shows it.

Interesting how he said why he originally started producing videos that and now he recommends other MGTOW who do the same are “wallowing in their own filth and misery”.

How do you think Sandman would have reacted if MGTOW showed up to comment under his first video(s) “look man, you’re such a f~~~ing coward. Quit wallowing in your own filth and misery. Get over it. “.

The hypocrisy is unbelievable. You just don’t f~~~ing do that. This is already universally understood among MGTOW.

@KeyMaster: The “Sandman Down” image on the front page makes it look like he’s come under attack, but he’s doing all this to himself, so I don’t know if the under attack image sends the right message. Maybe we need one of him flying straight into a wall like a damn fool coyote in a cartoon.

We like to think it looks like he flew too close to the upper atmosphere and experienced critical engine failure. But the “sandman is down” video by MGTOW Messenger sure looks more like he was shot down than anything else.

How funny would it be to make a MGTOW Jet for Stardusk – in sync with his latest Sandman attack – we had him blow Sandman out of the skies. A picture speaks a thousand words.

Personally, I think the picture is awesome just on its own. It looks so good. But was created with no preparation – within minutes really. After we posted the big Sandman hero introduction and jet flyby on the homepage…. MGHOW “Shining Light” commented on Google+ and said “Lol this is the worst timing to promote sandman”. Then we investigated and realize we should pull it down immediately.

The resulting image and explanation of WHY (with the poster image) is the result, so we created it, and put it up in just a few minutes.

In the end it doesn’t matter what Sandy said, he doesn’t speak for any of us, he only speaks for himself.

That’s reasonable, and anyone would agree, but he DOES speak. And it does matter. He does put the MGTOW label on his s~~~ and that opens you wide up for rapid machine gun fire from MGTOW if you don’t do it properly.

We all have an ENORMOUS responsibility to elevate the image and message of MGTOW in the best interest of all our brothers. The efforts we have made to elevate the cultural perception of MGTOW have been enormous and costly. And we have also been hugely successful. MGTOW can’t just “say whatever they want” and get away with it. Other MGTOW video and content producers have this in mind before they open their f~~~ing mouths. Some assholes don’t care but as the DOT COM, we sure as hell do.

We don’t publish a f~~~ing thing unless we’ve answered a few questions first:

• “Does this elevate the image of MGTOW?”
• “Does it enforce MGTOW as men of honor, and integrity?”
• “Are we proud of posting this?”
• “Are we prepared for heavy machine gun fire from detractors?”
• “Does this show defense of a brotherhood?”
• “Would other men see this and be proud to embrace the message?”
• “How would a true MGTOW veteran respond to this?”

These things do matter.

As for being called a coward, I’ve been called worse by better

Yeah it’s only “a word” and we thought that too. You don’t race some asshole because he calls you “chicken” either.

But MGTOW are anything but cowards. It’s the worst thing you can imply. Navigating the world on your own doesn’t take cowardess by any stretch of the imagination. And “getting over it” or marrying some western broad is not a sign of bravery either. We will dispel that s~~~ on site. It goes against everything MGTOW stands for.

You can’t wear a MGTOW badge and consider yourself a flagship representative of MGTOW if you’re perpetuating that nonsense. The rest of the world is too busy doing that already. We don’t let them get away with it either.

P.S.: @keymaster: Those planes are really freaking cool! What program are you using to model them (Maya, 3dMax, Blender)? Do you have experience with 3d in production? I am really impressed! and curious! I am interested in 3d art, VFX, compositing, so any tip you could pass on would be highly appreciated!

Love that you love them. Our 3D package of choice is The ElectricImage Animation system (EIAS) for fast renders and realistic lighting, and formZ for modeling. But the jets were done in Element 3D for After Effects because they are already rigged for missiles, lighting, flaps and landing gear and come textured already. We created custom textures to paint the models. There are already a bunch of models in the library so rather than spending a month modeling it, we can have fun with animation, lighting, backgrounds, explosions and sound FX – that’s where all the fun is.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

I only listened to the one video at the beginning of this thread, so I don’t know anything else about the current controversy.  That said:

I completely relate to the anger and horror in the voice of whoever was doing the commentary (Keymaster?  Or someone else?)  I have been naked in a jail cell because of a woman.  I have contemplated suicide and had my kids taken.   I constantly struggle with feelings of helplessness and anger, and believe that young men need MUCH MORE warning about what can happen to them in relationships with women.

On the other hand, I also vigorously defend and value the right of people to misspeak, to express themselves in ways that can be taken offensively.  Even to make statements that are flat-out f~~~ing WRONG.  Even when they are insulting.

Being called a coward doesn’t bother me, because I believe that we are all muddling cowards, ghosts trapped in fleshy prisons, forced to endure undeserved pain and anguish we can’t control.  You SHOULD be a coward.  If you aren’t you are deluding yourself — but I understand why being called a coward by someone else might be a bit infuriating.

So I’m torn, because I don’t like the idea of ostracizing someone just because they’ve said stuff I flat-out disagree with.  Sandman’s rational analysis of gender dynamics have helped me process things on multiple occasions.  I don’t like the idea of never hearing his analysis again.
