Hello and good afternoon, gents.

For your interest, below is a checklist & schedule outline for all things upcoming. As the items are done, we will mark it as “done”. Sometimes it takes a little longer to confirm that it’s “done” before we can announce it with confidence.

When we make a significant change (like those below), we have to let it run for a bit – a few hours or days – to make sure it’s not too heavy, actually works as expected, and maybe apply some fine tuning. So intermittently, we will be applying new theme switcher to the forums and various cosmetics, visual changes and enhancements. For example, we did “channels” over again recently and aside from adding the poster images, there are a few things we would like to improve . . . like the mouse looking like a cursor when you mouseover a video, a “now playing” indicator, and views / comments counts. Stuff like that.

Here is an initial breakdown of what we’re working on.
They are in a particular order because one thing depends on another to be confirmed “done”.

• Confirm member “roles” and permissions are set and final for all member levels . Make sure this reflects on each member profile page. Roles include Subscriber / Forums Spectator / Forums Participant / New/Basic Member / Ghost / Galt / and Moderator level for future moderator (volunteers?) etc.

• Make “Role” and forums Participation status visible on all profile pages and be able to upgrade / downgrade forums participants easily.

• Finishing honoring and confirming all subscription cancel requests
DONE

• Send personalized confirmations. (After ALL pending & overlooked requests are confirmed done and it’s announced )

• Sweep through all old emails to see if any remaining cancel requests are pending and confirm NONE are overlooked.
ALMOST DONE

• Give all member levels “delete my account” ability so they can delete their own accounts.

• Beginning with basic & new members who are not participants yet.

• Inform everyone this feature is available.

• Add “delete my account” for basic members who are participants.

• Apply and confirm all single posts / videos / audios / books / glossary / channels / posters / news bullets / memes / wallpapers / screensavers / quotes / testimonials content so no pages are blank – Even if they are ugly.
SINGLE QUOTES AND TESTIMONIALS NEED POLISH – CHANNELS AND VIDEOS CAN BE POLISHED LATER

• Add member submissions to glossary terms ( Ghost and Galt member levels only )
Let run and test submissions.

• Add member submissions to articles & posts ( Ghost and Galt member levels only )
Let run and test submissions.

• NEW HOMEPAGE CONTENT, FEATURES AND MEDIA

• Add ability for a new member to make themselves a participant without admin assistance.

• RE-OPEN “JOIN”.

This post will be adjusted and appended to as we proceed down the list, but for the most part, this is all required before we can reopen joining. You’re welcome to leave a comment if we mark something “done” and you notice it’s not working, or you have a further recommendation. A couple of recent threads about solving the recent login problems (etc.) will remain super-sticky for a little longer to make sure any members out there are informed. This thread is only visible in the CENTRAL forum.

We can link visitors from the join and login page(s) to inform them of what’s what. But for now, they are marked loudly. Thank you.

KM, I cancelled my paid subscription over a month ago and yet was billed again a few days ago.
I do not want to point the FCC your way for fraud but I will if I get billed again.

One day I would like to renew my subscription. Until that day, please stop billing me.

I had the same problem with MULTIPLE companies in the past. Even after I cancelled, they took money from me, and I had to resolve it with my bank.

The hassle isn’t worth it.

You have received 3 months refunded (2 + 1) retroactively.
And you should receive 3 “MGTOW has initiated a refund” emails from the processor.

Additionally you will receive an email with 2 snapshots attached showing your subscription has been permanently deleted at the processor – as well as your card/email. You will not be billed again.

As mentioned above, we are aware that some are still pending, but in order to refund each , we have to do this manually. It’s important to us that you should receive a refund retroactively from the date that you requested it. We’re even refunding at least one additional month to these members. But that’s a manual procedure.

First thing is to cancel them and make sure none are overlooked.
Then issue refunds.
Then send personal confirmations. ( the time consuming part)

We are also working with STRIPE and their API to be able to cancel subscriptions with a single mouse click from your profile.

• An announcement will be made when ALL pending are cancelled.
• Another will be made when refunds are issued.
• Another will be made when all pending have been notified by email.

I’m sure you can see why it’s more efficient to do it in the correct order, because taking care of 4 or 5 members this way doesn’t REALLY accomplish anything. Better to take care of it for EVERYONE.

To clarify further, it’s not “fraud” to be delayed in cancelling a subscription request.
“Fraud” is when someone poses as you and makes a purchase with your card that you didn’t authorize.

No choice in the matter. It’s proper and the right thing to do. Far more important to build and maintain a place and atmosphere where they CAN leave anytime – but they choose to stay.

Unfortunately waves of new members joining too fast takes away from production because of all the moderation required. We want to automate as many features as possible so it can run by itself and doesn’t require a human to approve members for participation, manually answer delete/cancel requests and so forth. We just don’t have the MAN-dwidth.

It’s a GOOD thing the site grew to this size.
Now we just have to be able to handle it.

If not harnessed NOW, it will virtually become impossible to manage with any efficiency, and the attention whores sucked away countless hours of production. So that can’t happen in the mean time.

At least the forums are peaceful now.

And FYI to others…

If your PMS look like a long “wall” that you can’t scroll down or delete….. Mousing over your each message (in a PM chat) will display a ” trash can ” icon so you can delete the paragraphs you read to remove the super long list.
