Well f~~~, I’m not the optimistic kind, but I do make the occasional sick joke, so I’m hoping this is still a big joke Mental is playing on us.
If not, I’m sure there are at least a few of us near the hospital you’ll be in. Just tell us the hospital and we’ll find the room that has the “Do not disturb! Man Going His Own Way.” sign on it. Hell, we’ll even bring you some f~~~ing flowers.

Does this mean we won’t be able to read you book? I have been thinking about that ever since your post saying you were going to write your book. I don’t know why, but I just can’t get it out of my head. I am an avid entrepreneur, and when I hear someone saying their starting a new project with as much conviction as you stated in your post, I get very excited. New projects are mantastic. And I have a voracious appetite for reading, especially from good writers.

Escaped! It’s a heavy weight on my heart to know your struggle. I’ve never been able to see or know about suffering without trying to do something about it. When my mother was dying of cancer early this century I kept her home with me for 10 months before she went away. I was glad I was able to be there for her, even though I felt powerless to do anything but supervise her care and get her comfy…
I’ve only read your posts on here, EMP, but they are part of you and your psyche and so through them, during the past weeks, I could percieve a kindred spirit, a brother amongst many on here. Your posts have made laugh out loud and think deeply and I thank you so much for being who you are.
I certainly hope that this episode will pass and you’ll start felling a lot better because I really hate thinking of you gone so far out of touch.

Well, I fell asleep last night, and fell asleep hard. I’ts beena long time since I’ve slept over 12 hours straight in a row.

I can ovbiously not leave this thread unatended and concluded in it’s current state. Your overwhelming support is beyong touching and to meet such things with silence would not only be a slap in the face to you but entirely without couth on my part.

I’ve got to bugger off for my second treatment very shortly here, so I will have to repsond to this incredible and unexpected show of support and solidarity when I return home.

I’m a bit speechless, so please forgive the succinctness of my reply. I will be back in a few hours brothers.

RE: smartphone. I’m not so smart and don’t have one anymore. It lapsed in contract and “pay as you go and all that nonsense”, so I sold it. I wasn’t mart enough to use 99% of the features on the thing anyway hahahahaha.

Hi fellows.

I will try to get back here as aoften as possible, I need to address the specific comments of kindness which were left here for me, so please don’t be under the improession that I’m ignoring them in any way shapr or form.

These posts, and the post left by ILiveAgain, one of our most valued treasures and rseouces at this site (than you so much for this manthats a very good kick in the arse), , have given me inspiration and strength in a very weak time for me. F~~~ me I feel like s~~~. I might opt to go in to the hospital for the remainder of this treatment, rather than do it on an out-patient basis

I will be back here to post as often as possible while I am smelling the flowers. Id’ like to start a new thread on some cool jobs and experiences inherent with them (I hope you’ll all chime in, even just because its interesting) , and maybe share some of our more hair=raisig experiences in some of our current and past occupations, so that Lightbringers can start to see that “Being A Flight Nurse” can pale in comparison to some of the unbelievable s~~~ that we, and others who aren’t here have partaken in, in some of our respective professions.

Hope that maybe you are reading this, Lightbringer but being a nurse in a helictoper, at times with a set of night vision goggles? Whoopty-f~~~ing do. There are some guys on this site that are ex-naval, ex=special forces, ex snipers, ex-rirefighters and I’ve even got a hair-rasing tale or two to tell, man, from working with zoonoses, forest-firefighting and even pipelining (which some guys might think to be a relatively benign occupation). Hell, even not having an occupation, such as being homeless can have some unbelievable f~~~ing strength and unfortunate advernture attached to it.

I’ll start this trhead as soon as I can, and maybe you’ll be able to see, Lightbringer, that not only is this profession this woman has “not the most amazing thing in the world”, but in fact, I think she’s thrown and peppered in some utter BULLS~~~ in there as to what she’s doing. She’s overglorified this s~~~ past reality. So much so, that she seems to forget that the guy piloting the rotary wing aircraft in any number of the crazy situations that a whirlybird pilot goes through just to GET the flight nurses anddocs there man.

NONE OF IT WILL DEFINE YOU, lightbringer. Get that goddmaned toxicity out of your veins. She’s dead to you, but you keep shoving the paddles on her chest and bringing the t~~~ back to life dude.
