Why would we as MGTOW want to be on Phil’s show? What’s in it for us? What’s in it for YOU? The show is marketed to women, so what’s a MGTOW’s motivation? I personally, don’t care if women understand me, or MGTOW, it’s not ABOUT THEM. Clearly they want something, so why would you give them what they want? It’s not like we need the exposure, and given the chances of this being an ambush are like 1,000,000% why would you want to do it? I realize you’re selling a book, and I salute you sir, but how could being on Dr. Phil really benefit you?  Say you don’t get ambushed, why would we want women to know what we’re up to? We KNOW they’ll try and corrupt it, it’s what they do.

So, when you get a chance clue me in their big fella, I’m curious.

Alright JohnDoe, in that case and in the most likely case of them ditching him, if he only dared to ask for an original tape and providing they might still be curious about (still as a theoretical idea of!) his sudden pull back and his second thoughts (and it’s in the media’s nature to be curious) once they might ask him about the Why he could then argue either that at this point it may well be still way to early in the game to accept such an invitation to this show and/or he could as well counter ask back the “What’s in it for me?” kind of question, which in essence is the same kind of core question every man should ask any woman, whenever she is suggesting to him as a man to marry her (as it was discussed in a different topic on our forum before some while back…).

Well, that’s the problem as I see it, and I think that’s what John Doe & Chauvinist were trying to say as well.  I’ve had dealings with both radio and television media, and largely for very similar reasons as Tim. But I can honestly say I’ve never had any good results for a bump in sales for my product from television appearances; radio is far more effective. I’ve asked that question “What’s in it for me?” and they give me the usual song and dance about “exposure” and “sales”, but like I say, television has never delivered.

Tim I agree with these guys that backing out would be the smartest move. John Doe gave more than enough reasons to step back and see what a debacle they are preparing for you to enter. I don’t think the show is interested in my book or the other NCFM’ers book. But … Here the answers to question 1 and 2 from the 10 questions the producer sent:

1. Why do you think women have been oppressing men?
I’ve supported the women’s movement for the past 45 years. But, the last 5 years or so I’ve come to realize that the movement for women is changing politics, culture, and legislation in such a way that many of these policies now oppress men. Societies image of men are being altered by rape and domestic violence charities and media. (And other causes) Women are demanding equality or justice by inflicting injustice of men.

2. How have they been doing this?
Sexual Power: Most women hold sexual power over most men. Women are acutely aware of this ability to exert influence and control through sex. Men can easily be distracted and persuaded with a flirtatious wink. A simple smile and from a girl can oppress a man’s will. Sexual energy directed toward most men will cause normal logical brain activity to be disturbed by more primitive biological drivers innate within every man. Everyone uses the power of sex appeal to sell products and market everything from cosmetics to automobiles. The campus rape culture Phenom uses images of female bodies as an icon of media attention and political power. That is oppressive politics.
Victim Power: Most women learn at an early age that they can change many people’s minds by crying or appearing victimized from emotional or physical harm or danger. It sure worked that way on my Dad. It appears that man’s natural urge to protect a damsel in distress is easily triggered by empathy. This gives women power over men’s behavior; it also makes vast numbers of people vote for victimized women’s issues. But the men’s issues are ignored and social empathy is minimized. Men are easily oppressed with female victimization: ‘women and children first’. Domestic violence is sold by using images and stories of men beating on women.
Household Power: Women control most of the household spending and decision making. In most household arrangements, the women might allow a man cave but usually take ownership of all other living spaces. Women network with other women and watch more daytime TV than men so TV producers capitalize on selling products and orient content towards women.
