Society is based on the female perspective, how are men expected to become involved when there is nothing in it for men, and the rules are so oppressively against men. You nailed it with those examples of misandry.

I don’t think I’ve met any women who even have the slightest grasp of what equality with men really means. What they ALL want, is an equal share of the traditional benefits of being male, 100% of the traditional benefits of being female, and zero share of any of the downside responsibility and disadvantages of being male. To try and answer SMITTY the GREAT ONE who asked: Why would we as MGTOW want to be on Phil’s show? What’s in it for us? What’s in it for YOU?

Generally, I feel all media PR is good PR…

I didn’t plan to mention MGTOW or represent MGTOW, but instead to represent the NCFM here is the US and I’d like to attempt to explain on a broad level the male point of how men are oppressed by women. Men have always been oppressed. I am interested in more media exposure on this topic because we’ve seen media reports of women being oppressed by men. I’m willing to <span style=”font-size: 11pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: Georgia, serif; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-size: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial;”>sacrifice<span class=”apple-converted-space”> </span></span>my pride or ego and make a public statement, about oppression without taking the discussion to the length of MGTOW.

I see this as an expression of what MGTOW realize so clearly already after taking the red pill. I think it may get conversation in the world of the gender war and gender politics. I’m certain many women will hate the message and the messenger. I’m getting used to that lady-hate… I suppose.

I also feel that once a woman takes up a men’s cause she can carry that into the battle with other women better than a man can….

For me, I think I like to stir things up a little, perhaps take a walk on the wild side once in a while?

There has been NO response from the show. I am accustomed to TV media grabbing a potential idea RIGHT AWAY to keep competitor media orgs from grabbing a story first, so my gut tells me they do not know how the story fits their viewers profile.

I agree. If Dr. Phil was authentic, he would have figured out the dire status of this nation. He would have been more sympathetic to men. I see him as another pandering to women. He’s hard on me, panders to women, a typical mangina. He’s too busy worshiping the Great Whore, he will frame everything in that way.

Great links Dayrep. I wonder if the show would let Tim get these numbers out before they shut him down. Phil is targeting the oprah audience and is clearly traditionalist and gynocentric. If he broadcast something close to the truth on a venue with as much reach as he has, he would in turn be shut down. This would be driven by the marketing strength women provide, so the shows advertisers probably have an implicit or even explicit agreement not to alienate that target audience. Certainly, not sure how Tim would approach this, but MGTOW principles are in complete conflict with Phil’s.

Phil probably reached out, not to get any truth or dialogue happening, but because he and the shows producers are so stupid, they thought they could win the argument and possibly publicly shame the guest. In other words he cannot be allowed to fail.

A part of me wants you to do it to prove them wrong….but the other part of me knows they would just bury you/edit you to make you look like a bad guy as they always do to fit their agenda.

I am a man and I admit I watch Dr.Phil, not because I think he is right, but because I think he is wrong and I LAUGH at most of the bulls~~~ he presents. He is just as bad as Oprah was and Dr. Oz is.

He presents himself as being always right and females believe him. Even with you using perfect logic and facts….he will discredit you. He will “prove” you wrong.

But now that I think about it…I say….GO FOR IT. Why not? Women already hate men and they wont change. Maybe you convince some viewers/men who are struggling to come find MGTOW. We are already minority. Why not go for it and potentially show men the light?

It’s been 2 weeks and the producer has not called or written. I take this as, they are NOT able to twist the story of women oppressive to men into a show that might garner ratings or satisfy their day time audience.

Well Tim, I would imagine it’s probably quite hard for you, that you may have missed an opportunity here to possibly get some positive promotion for your book there on the one hand. But on the other hand do try to look at it this way: Maybe “they” are not ready for your book just yet, so there’s still some potential for book sales further down the line. And as I kind of stated in this thread before, yes it could well still be too early to go public with it at this point since your book (in a way just like MGTOW itself to an extend) is arguably still a bit ahead of its time, so …   … better luck next time, and I’m sure there will be a next time for both of it and hopefully so, once the timing shall be better or even much better.

In that very sense cheer up, sir. For the time being stay put, stay tuned, and stay active in a kind of lurking position (of a poker player) and for the next time another such opportunity comes up, again equally give it another careful and well reflected judgement of yours just like you did this time before jumping right into it without any blink of an eye. Eventually you’ll get there and never lose hope, which dies last remember..?   -just my 2 cents-

It may be a bit late but another thing that bothers me is when people try to have discussions on male issues bats~~~ crazy feminists crash the scene to disrupt it because “it take away focus on women’s issues”. It is no surprise that there are plenty of shelters for women but men have few if any. There have been discussions shut down or completely co-opted by feminists who don’t see it as helping men but rather depriving women.

After he’s covered a question or two relevant to what they’ve sent to you, to get you at ease, you’ll be asked surprise questions about statements or partial statements made on page x, y and z, because professional staff with a knack of picking out potential sensationalism have already combed through your book and cherry picked what they’ll portray as the most misogynistic material imaginable. (all out of context)
He’ll have already had writers prepare outline “comebacks” to the answers of his very specific questions that’ll have the audience cheering him as their champion, and you the monster.

If you really are quick enough on your feet and give some appropriate answers, you’ll find them later on the cutting room floor.
