MGTOW is not a religion nor does it contradict any religion.

Marriage and cohellbitation is a CHOICE.

    Abortion is a CHOICE.

    FREEDOM IS A CHOICE.

    SUICIDE IS A CHOICE.

THE LAW IS NOT A CHOICE, THE LAW IS A DICTATE AND A MANDATE. THE LAW IS CORRUPT AND DEATH INSPIRING.

SOCIETY AS A WHOLE ALREADY MADE ALL OUR CHOICES AND NONE OF THEM ARE ACCEPTABLE!

I CHOSE MGTOW, UNLIKE THIS SOCIETY THAT CHOSE US TO BE THEIR OWN PERSONAL JACKASSES!

Mix of atheist and (modern) satanist. There is no God, I am my own god.

    Are you religious?

    No.

Do you treat MGTOW as holy?

MGTOW isn’t a religion but we could make it one if we wanted to though. All we need is a silly hat… 😀

Anyway, in the book there was a ‘religion’ that described life as the great prolonger of pain. Death was to be worshiped as it was the end of pain.

I saw how Christianity messed up my father. He constantly focused on the afterlife and how wonderful it was all going to be after you die.

Even as a little kid, I knew that was f~~~ed-up… 🙁

Agnostic, empirical/open kind: it’s the least similar to atheism and the most “religion-friendly”, it mean I don’t know if God exist because there aren’t enough proofs, but I wouldn’t oppose the idea if I would see enough proofs.

Others have mentioned it but I ‘ll restate: Religion is one of the tools society and women use to beat men up. Religion is used to make men fall in line. Think about it for a minute. Is it men or women are actually going to confess their sins, and make changes to stop said sinning?

When minsters or church members tell me about God’s plan for me to be married, I say I doubt God’s plan for my former marriage included being divorced raped, child support, and alimony. The expression on their face is priceless.

There are no good women only degrees of bad.

MGTOWs all worship the virgin god of Cheetos. My shrine to our secret Cheeto god is in my mommy’s basement. I eat them every day. I’m so addicted to Cheetos that there is no time to shave so I have a neck beard. /sarc

Seriously though, I’m not into hierarchical organized religion and being told what to do without being paid to do it. I am a practicing Christian in real life. In other words, I just won’t attend a church.

Pretty much my sentiments, but without the Cheetos.

Jesus was a MGHOW, Buddha was a MGHOW. MGTOW is not a religion by any sense of the definition. You can go your own way spiritually and hold your own ideas about the origin of the universe or any potential afterlife/reincarnation.

I will insist that MGTOW is mutually exclusive from the word “Religion” in its original meaning. From the Latin Re-Ligare meaning to re-bind or re-tie. Religion was used as a form of taxation over the serfs, who were “tied” to the land with the “tithe” system of taxation. You can be a Christian and go your own way as Jesus did, but you should not support the Church or its system of taxation over you. Remember, in the old days, Marriage was very much controlled by the Church.

Christan and it by no means contradicts MGTOW

I was raised in a church, but I’m agnostic to the point of being almost an atheist, in the sense that I think all religions are wrong but I can’t prove a God doesn’t exist.

In fact, when it comes to “God”, I don’t think you can prove or disprove it.

But if you come at me telling me about a book with stories about people rising from the dead, talking snakes, virgin birth and try to tell me about a God who is 3 but 1 who killed himself to make himself happy, I got to call it bulls~~~.

God is something everyone seems to talk about but nobody knows about.

    Religion is just bulls~~~.

No religion, no problem. I don’t tell you what to do on Sunday, you don’t tell me what to do on Sunday.

    I just keep it simple.

If god actually existed, it would be at least possible to prove it.

However, you can’t prove the non-existence of god just like you can’t prove the non-existence of the Easter Bunny nor the Tooth Fairy.

Have you every wondered why that is???

My take is that when it comes to ‘God’, whatever it is, cannot be fully reckoned by mortals.

I’m comfortable with being a Christian mainly because it propagates organically. Unless you had the misfortune of being born into a Bible Belt fundamentalist hyper-Christian family/church which is one major exception to that rule. That was not I.

Jesus is a MGTOW role model. Apostle Paul is one too. Even non-Christians would be well served by utilizing their selected teachings even w/o the religious aspect.

MGTOW operates at the individual level only.

Mortals don’t need to fully reckon it to know it exists or not.

If an infinitely powerful being wanted us to know it existed then we just would. there would be no atheists or agnostics.

    conclusion;

A god exists and is playing a universe level hiding game.

    Or

    No god exists

You make a good point, but I don’t know if it is possible to prove or disprove anything if:

1: Most can’t even define it clearly. “God is love” tells me nothing, because it is almost meaningless and if it is love, just call it love.

2: And, if some all-powerful and all knowing being existed, and wanted to hide from us, it would be smart and equipped to be able to do exactly that.

But I see where you are coming from with. But at least the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and Santa are three characters that I can get straight answers on what they are supposed to be.

I just live my life not worrying about God, the Tooth Fairy or the Easter Bunny.
