So technicaly I don’t believe in God in the traditional sense, but I believe something is going on. Something BIG. Something DEEP.

Gee that really narrows it down, very precise. Answers all the big questions that men have asked for centuries……sarcasm.

And here we see EXACTLY what I was talking about in my previous post. If your god is undefinable, vague and subject to one’s own individual interpretation, the Atheist cannot attack it. It’s like trying to nail jello to the wall…

Raised, baptized, and confirmed as a Lutheran, not active, still believe in God. My sundays are spent hitting single track trails on my KTM. I do not see MGTOW as a religion. I don’t see going your own way as anti Christian or a sin. I do not worship pussy.

The most important thing you can do is ask yourself, what do I really want out of life. Really think about it, and always be true to yourself. Then Do it.

If you look closely you generally see religion is just the excuse, not the source. For example there’s a reason why the leaders of the First Crusade were landless nobles looking to conquer kingdoms for themselves, and you can bet it wasn’t because “God willed it”.

We see a similar argument from the ‘moderate’ Muslims. They claim that all the violence is politically motivated, not motivated by their religion.

I guess this is true if we accept that their holy book explicitly instructing them to carry out violence against the ‘Infidels’ is just sheer coincidence…

Step 1: Tell atheists what they think and, in a real way call them liars (“You know God exists, even though you say you don’t” I heard that said to one !)

Step 2: After patronizing them, insulting them and calling them liars, complain about “angry atheists”.

Step 3: Accuse the Atheist of ‘arrogance’ just for acknowledging reality!

    My personal fav… 😀

Raised catholic, but only for so many years in early childhood, and my parents are not strictly religious themselves, so it was no big deal deciding I didn’t want to go to church anymore. Last Sunday school teacher actually made an effort to make things interesting with grade school level science stuff, but it wasn’t enough to warrant spending afternoons there when I could be doing stuff I found more important.

For a few years I was vehemently against a lot of things to do with Christianity, I suppose much like SJWs do, but now with the Islamic threat I realize not all religions are equal. If some relatively harmless and reversible politics and a few nasty words are all I have to deal with, I’ll take that over outright violence.

As far as MGTOW goes, sort of new but at the same time I’ve never been as deep as a lot of guys have in blue pills, so it’s hard to say. Like to do a lot of my own research than to listen to any one person, and take each with a grain of salt until I’ve tested things in my own life, so I don’t see where any faith comes in. Perhaps it’s more of a rehab, having been in denial of an extremely unhealthy addiction.

It’s not politically motivated. It’s economically motivated.

That “holy” book was written by a man looking for an excuse to conquer his neighbors. Local faiths didn’t give him that excuse, so he made his own. The desire for wealth and power was still the motivation, not “muh allah”. That his descendants continue to use his creation to justify their own actions doesn’t change that.

The Atheist, comedienne, actress Julia Sweeney was raised in a strict Catholic environment. She talks about it in her monologue “Letting Go of God”. Even if you disagree with her Atheism, it’s pretty funny and worth a listen. I thought that you might find it entertaining…

That would be just the ‘Infidel’ neighbours then would it???

“Infidel” in practice usually translates to “people who refuse to give me their stuff”.

By a strict definition of the dictionary, no, MGTOW is not a religion.

Nearly all religions advocate some belief system in spiritual beings, divine entities, and most have a written codex, scripture, or codified doctrinal basis.

MGTOW is the polar opposite of all that, because by definition, we each “go our own way”, and that’s liberty

As scientist (BS/MS comp sci) I require actual evidence. When code compiles, a script runs, or a VM recovery is successful, that’s hard evidence of observable reality.

After divorce 30+ years ago, MGTOW is my evidence of success, career change, happiness, wealth, and total independence and freedom.

Atheist. Religion is just a different kind of blue pill.

In some regards, yes, because people buy into a belief system not based on reality.

That said, there are a lot of religious MGTOW men who might well argue differently.
