    Are you religious?
Does being religious interfere with your MGTOW lifestyle?

Personally, I’m not religious. I’m very spiritual though and I enjoy talking about religion because I grew up being a devout Christian and sometimes I miss the traditions. However I don’t see myself believing in any religion ever again. MGTOW is basically my religion now.

To me Religion means something you believe and try to give special attention to. Well, that’s exactly what I’m doing with MGTOW right now and it’s very relaxing. I feel like I’m getting more stress release from MGTOW than religion ever gave me.

I’m curious to know more about you guys. Are you religious? Do you treat MGTOW as holy?

    Agnostic.

I don’t mind Buddhist philosophy though. Buddhism isn’t a religion in my opinion or never was supposed to be one.

I believe MGTOW is a mindset as well as a movement. It just depends on how YOU pursue it. It’s all up to the individual.

I studied Buddhism in college and loved it! I was obsessed with Bruce Lee for a year and studied his teachings daily. Buddhism made me feel a lot closer to the meaning of life if that makes sense, but it never completely satisfied me

    +1.

I treat MGTOW more like a spiritual awakening than religious dogma.

In its most innocuous form MGTOW allows me to focus on things I’d have ignored in order to get laid, chase pussy, please women, etc.

Once I accept that, the door to ‘what else have I accepted as part of the conditioning without any benefit to myself’ opens.

I’m not a bible thumper but I do follow Christian teachings..

In Matthew 10:34–36, Jesus said He had come at this time not to bring peace to the earth, but a sword, a weapon which divides and severs. As a result of His visit to the earth, some children would be set against parents and a man’s enemies might be those within his own household. This is because many who choose to follow Christ are hated by their family members. This may be part of the cost of discipleship, for love of family should not be greater than love for the Lord. A true disciple must take up his cross and follow Jesus (Matthew 16:24). He must be willing to face not only family hatred, but also death, like a criminal carrying his cross to his own execution. True followers of Christ must be willing to give up, even to the point of “hating” all that is in our lives, even our own families, if we are to be worthy of Him (Matthew 10:37–39). In so doing, we find our lives in return for having given them up to Jesus Christ.

    Jesus was a MGHOW

Exactly. Unfortunately I used to stress about women more than anything in the world. So life sucked and I had a lot of anxiety. MGTOW is like a miracle drug for me. I feel great!

Yeah, because you have a lot of testosterone. Same problem here man. I hear it gets better as we age though. I’m 31 and have 800+ testosterone. It helps me get a lot done in life. Keeps me energized and pushing! I just no longer pursue anything with women. That’s testosterone gone to waste. Once my testosterone goes down, I’ll be calmer and will have PLENTY of money in the bank.

Religion is what government creates to control the masses, create fear in the dim, and force compliance and order. Faith is something I have and I have faith in my path.

When I find out a mgtow is in it deep, I am more then willing to hunt down a Catholic church to light some candles and ask for divine intervention.
(or Buddhist temple to light some incense)

Religion has a habit of asking why are you single and not married. Don’t feel the need to put up with that,….plus most religions seem to have and over supply of land whales that need to be married off. Not me brother, not now not ever.

Like some on here I rarely discuss politics or religions! Learned that from my grand parents growing up… and it never interfered in my life! in fact it’s quite the opposite!

Reminds me of a favorite book when I was younger (not sure I would enjoy it now).

Anyway, in the book there was a ‘religion’ that described life as the great prolonger of pain. Death was to be worshiped as it was the end of pain.

    FWIW.

Am I religious? Not that I can say. I dabbled in it when I was younger. Used to attend church at one time. That was before I realized that churches were more interested in being a social club for single mothers and former c~~~ carousel riders who were now “born again.” The straw that broke that camels back for me was when the youth pastor of the Church I was attending decided to talk to me about the joys of being married and how married men make more money than single men. To which I asked him, isn’t that because married men work longer hours than single men? That was pretty much the end of the conversation. I have never set foot into a church since then. As far as I am concerned it’s just one giant meat market that women when it’s time to “get serious and settle down.” The problem I really have with Church isn’t so much that these women flock to it. My real problem are the Priests who work tirelessly to shame men into wifing these women up.

TBH, I don’t appreciate that folks call pretty much everything a religion.

You hear on this forum Christians calling everything a religion eg atheism is a religion, science is a religion.

Then I suppose mgtow is a religion but it all makes a mockery of religion and the English language.

Christan and it by no means contradicts MGTOW.

    Am not a religious guy.

As far as i can observe, a Religion is like the Boy scouts, like a soccer club one adheres to and has to play the rules that exist there, contribute, be gratefuil for your membership, pull your weight and share your weaknesses…
I chose to not adhere to any of these Clubs, and discover the truth as i go.

    Is Mgtow a religion?
The idea is not. It is a lifestyle choice.

being a member of mgtow.com or mgtowhq.com might be considered “being part of a club”.
But then again… i can stop coming here and still keep being mgtow.

Catholic and MGHOW, they are not mutually exclusive.

MGTOW is a way, a guide, but not a religion. The only connection is the term ‘going monk’. Read about the Desert Fathers and learn about some hardcore early MGTOW.

Another benefit of being catholic, ask a feminist what she thinks about the Church’s views on abortion, no female clergy, or any tradition it stands for.

Not so much as religion, but as the saying goes:

    Truth will set you free.

For me it’s a mindset, not an ideology nor religion.
