    self proclaimed feminist?
her actions don’t match up. she works hard to be the best. she was the sole reason Dana White allowed women to compete in the UFC, she made the UFC tons of money, she didn’t ask for a quota to be met, she proved her value after a lifetime of training and continues to improve in every way, etc…
Sounds to me like self determination and an iron will, not feminism. Do attractive feminists with lots of money and fame give their time to the troops? the USO? Robin Williams did, and Ronda made this guys wish come true. Is it good publicity? Sure, but he asked, and she agreed. Good for them. Everyone else with their opinion is irrelevant. I hope they both have a great time.

Lets be honest here guys… he asked her to the ball because he wanted to stand out. Can we really blame him? he is actually using her to his own political gain! Lets just say for instance that this particular marine ( make believe ) wasn’t in the best standings with his superiors and he asked this HIGH PROFILE female to be his date. Only a complete C U Next Tuesday would deny his request. Why would she? She is a fighter right? Looking for approval that she is better than the average woman, maybe some psychological issues or something, but thats besides the point. She believes she gets what she is looking for when in actuality the marine is using her to his “political” gain.
From now on the guys at work will be like ” hey is that the guy that got XXXXXXXX to go to the ball with him??? he’s so cool”, as much as that sounds like a high school line, its true. men will see him as respectable and women in the service will adore him for having a female fighter as a date. He will get good remarks for a year or so in the service and it will put him further ahead than others (assuming he is at par with all the other criteria). Basically this chick, as controversial as it is, and as screwed up as the headlines are, is going to give this marine much more USMC press than any fitness evaluation, and he will be the beneficiary of the ball. Also the talk of the town. And she better pay his way too….
    Smart play boyo!

    self proclaimed feminist?

“Ronda Rousey is an ultimate fighting champion, Olympic medal-winner and self-proclaimed feminist. You need her in your life”, says Gareth A Davies

Then, why does she allow this statement to be declared if it’s not true?

    her actions don’t match up.

And what about her inaction to correct this slander, if it’s not so?

Again, in your last posts, you make great points, and I respect what she has accomplished.

But I still stick to my guns. If she wants to clear up this self proclaimed feminist claim and say it’s a lie, then I withdraw, and stand corrected.

I ain’t holding my breath for it.

I’m just pointing out that just because she claims to be a feminist, her actions are the polar opposite of the voices of feminism. Imagine if every feminist had a great work ethic…but they don’t, they don’t be the best they can be, they just want everything for free. If feminists want to claim her as one of their own, fine, but they can’t compare themselves to her…b/c Ronda actually does stuff.

I believe the real question is..”Will Our Delusions Of Grandeur Ever Meet Theirs Eye To Eye?” And, Mr. Mental, may I call you that? I don’t believe they ever will, in all honesty. Our delusions are much simpler than theirs, and of such less stature. Men want to be comfortable and women want to be pampered. men want to survive, and women want to surpass. men want to live, women want to trend… do you see where I’m going with this? Let me know your thoughts.

What a great point, this is so true. My ex would always say im cheap just because i wanted my bank account to act as a pillow so i could sleep at night. apparently to these blood sucking broads that is cheap. i dumped her months ago and she still wont stop calling me. too bad for her. i would rather have my money, at least it will respect me because i earned it.

Women will always claim the man is “cheap”. Ive heard it so many times it hurts my ears. “You always want to just stay in” claims the woman with no money. “You are no fun” says the girl with no job. “Why don’t you ever want to do anything spontaneous” say the chick that spends your cash as a hobby.

All i want to say is….. ” Maybe if you made your own money and worked as hard as I did for it you wouldn’t be so eager to go and blow it on something you couldn’t get for less somewhere else assuming you actually had a well paying job like me….hence why i just want to stay in, drink beer, and watch tv, so p~~~ off.”

Females make 80% of purchasing decisions.
Mainstream news sites are funded by advertisers.

Therefore, one would do well to presume that whatever drivel is in the mainstream media, or even outside of the mainstream, is gynocentric until proven otherwise. The author of the article is Jeff Shull of RantSports.com; this demonstrates the extent to which this imperative to cater toward females permeates.

yeah, it really is a mess. Females are 80% or so of the consumer market…can’t have the economy crash.
Majority, if they all vote…not gonna vote for anything that diminishes their social prowess, and will vote for anything that gives them even more.

I guess I just want to know how much stronger does the female sex have to be and how much weaker the male sex has to go, before it’s enough? Equality? I don’t see it.

So, I have heard we have at least one female role model. For us men?
I guess I have had too much to drink tonight.

I have to go all the way back to Han Solo in the original trilogy or the original Conan to pretend I have some kind of role model as a man. And they are fictional characters.

I have worshipped women/vagina for over 30 yrs of my life….I am done doing that. I don’t care how great a female is.
I just don’t have the heart, stomach, or the funds to do so any more.

I have repeatedly said I respect what she has accomplished. That should be more than enough. Hell, it’s more than what many men get that have sacrificed and accomplished much more, like still having our country so we can sit and talk about whatever strikes us to drum up a convo about.

So, after reading everything in this thread, I still am unclear on the answer and the general consensus is regarding the title.

I’m just pointing out that just because she claims to be a feminist, her actions are the polar opposite of the voices of feminism.

I guess I am drunk. When I apply that this way, it falls flat for me.

    examples:

I claim to be MGTOW, but my actions of wanting to still find NAWALT/Unicorn, so I can finally have my soul mate, so I keep looking for her…or I claim to be MGTOW, but my actions show I am married, or want to remarry.

I will reread it all after I am sober, but at present, I can’t make it go in my head, nor can I even wrap my head around it.

I have enjoyed the thread, it is very thought provoking to me, and have enjoyed discussing it.

    Cheers

    Means a lot.

My grandfather fought in the Pacific Theater in WWII. F~~~ing hand-to-hand with the Japanese. I couldn’t imagine it.

Much respect to the both of you, Cap. Thanks for doing what you’ve done.

Thank you. I just did my job. Nothing more, nothing less.

My grandfather fought in the Pacific Theater in WWII. F~~~ing hand-to-hand with the Japanese. I couldn’t imagine it.

Hey Cap, did your grandfather survive?

Yes he did. He didn’t talk about it much. After a few beers he would talk if I asked him but not give very much information and even then he’d get the thousand yard stare going. Only when I was a little older did he open up and holy s~~~, the things he had seen and done.

    Fuck this planet.
