By the christ, yes, she’s just, like, “totally awesome” man.

How the hell can they constantly spin things on the hamster wheel to the point of doing absolutely nothing, but achieving “TOTAL AWESOMENESS”. Does anyone even know what the word “Awesome” means anymore? This colloquial mutilation of everything sure gets old.

    SHE’S TOTALLY AWESOME

A young guy joins the Marines, puts his life in a position of sacrifice for at least five years, learns how to be a rifleman, can storm a beach, defend freedom, put up with Bootcamp and the possibility of being sent to a foreign land with about 24 hours notice to be shot at and protect his flag.

But she accepted a date from him, so yeah. SHE’S AWESOME.

    SMH.

I believe the real question is..”Will Our Delusions Of Grandeur Ever Meet Theirs Eye To Eye?” And, Mr. Mental, may I call you that? I don’t believe they ever will, in all honesty. Our delusions are much simpler than theirs, and of such less stature. Men want to be comfortable and women want to be pampered. men want to survive, and women want to surpass. men want to live, women want to trend… do you see where I’m going with this? Let me know your thoughts.

I am glad Ronda Rousey accepted his invitation. It’s true, “awesome” is a bit much for a grown up prom date. “Nice gesture” would be better, but probably the headline writer’s editor would have demanded something with more pizzazz.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

    She fights for entertainment.

He fights for his, and Americans in general’s, lives.

He has to “man up” and ask her out.

She wouldn’t have noticed he existed unless he said something.

Had he been a normal citizen, she’d have brushed him off and maybe even considered him “creepy” for finding her attractive enough to ask out.

It’s true that women find military men irresistible. They say it’s “the uniform.” I think it’s more the benefits they can get from marrying a guy like him, and the fact that if he’s killed in action, she’s forever “a widow of a veteran” and will get benefited even MORE.

This isn’t anything against military. Heck, most of my friends are ex-military, and I nearly joined myself several times, but was unable/wasn’t fit enough. I just think that guys should be careful when dating women, especially after telling them you’re ex-military.

It’s the same with women that say they’re “police wives.” Those annoy me, too. “I’m a police wife and *I* worry about ME losing MY husband in action every day!”

I don’t believe that we should let these “news” headlines get the best of us gentlemen, because they will not stop printing endless dribble. I personally try to react the same way an adult does when he watches todays child react to a modern cartoon, laugh because its so childish and and wonder what happened to all the good shows. You can’t blame the media for being ignorant, the media reflects the culture as a whole.

Sometimes, it seems women will stop at nothing, to take credit from a man’s work, and feel very entitled to do so, it’s borderline insane.

They’ll never get the best of us, good sir knight. And I can blame the media for being ignorant. What was once an institution of “impartiality” and “reporting” (albeit for only a short period of time) is simply now a channeling of drivel and insecurity. It never strikes a true chord in me: I just really enjoy highlighting the absurd.

But it’s entertainment (not as they’ve intended) all the same. There can be a great deal of black humour found amongst the mainstream news, even though the original intention of the article wasn’t meant to be.

”Will Our Delusions Of Grandeur Ever Meet Theirs Eye To Eye?” And, Mr. Mental, may I call you that? I don’t believe they ever will, in all honesty.”

You can call me whatever you like, Merch. Just don’t give out my number and let them call me. And, sincerely, we don’t need delusions of grandeur. Historically and presently speaking, we are pretty f~~~ing grand. We don’t need to attempt to secure “Grandeur”. We do it every day, and don’t write news articles about it.

    Cheers, and welcome.

Excuse me, I hate to rain on their parade but isn’t it us men who get to decide whether a woman is totally awesome or not. We as men really need to up our standards of what we expect of women. All women, not just the ones we may pump and dump or date.

We should hold women to at least the same standards we hold men and we should start to set the bar really high. That princess bubble needs to burst. We need to make that hamster spin so fast he goes pop. Spin hamster spin.

The sap in the video doesn’t have high standards and some woman is going to chew him up and spit him out if he’s not careful. He doesn’t even know enough about her to make a decision on what she is like. That takes months of getting to know someone especially with women and their chameleon like behaviour.

It’s like keeping our wallets in ghost mode from them.
Since they are opportunist & information specialist, it is just one more thing that they don’t need to know IMHO.

I used to be so delusional, that I thought I would find a woman that would want me & like me for who I am. My plan back when I thought this way, was after I knew I had found the ONE, that I would then surprise her with what else comes with the package.

Of course, since they are all clones when it comes to their tactics, I have a better chance of traversing interstellar space to find what I am looking for. Not much of a chance, but still.

Seriously speaking though, their ummm, cough, “role models” that they look up to and want to mimic pretty much has ensured utter destruction. Robert Plant’s song “Crazy On A Ship Of Fools” comes to mind.

They look the best they have ever been in history as best I can tell, and act the worst. It is a shame and I am convinced that their delusions of grandeur knows no bounds.

So, sadly, no. I do not ever seeing it cease….at least not how things are f~~~ed 6 ways from Sunday at present. I don’t even subscribe to the point of view anymore of, well, at least one can hope….

Just one more reason why MGTOW is the only course of action with any merit…not that I needed anymore, but I do take certain satisfaction and relish in the thought of having a wide array & arsenal at my beck and call on why I am going my own way, should anyone ever ask me why I walk the path I walk.

Cheers Mr. M, i couldn’t agree more, and I’m glad you also see the humor in the media (even if they don’t see it themselves), i was never trying to cast a bleak image of the news, just highlight how i am disappointed in the mainstream media. There are plenty of noteworthy reports out there but unfortunately all the ones that get the limelight are the ones that “trend”.

And thank your for bringing my quote into a different light, I honestly never thought of it that way. maybe i should have thought about it more before i blurted it out but it just felt so right at the time (no pun) #MGTOW <—- is that a thing?

I can assure you Mr. M you are not in the listing, and i have no intentions of setting you up with my friend from work…you’re safe, I thank you for the warm welcome to the MGTOW way of life.

This obsession society has for ronda rousey is hilarious. I love the generation I’m in because I don’t t buy into the image and hype my friends give all these famous female celebrities and female athletes. 20 to 30 years from now, they will be so old, gross, and forgotten it will feel like a waste of time I giving them attention now. A new entitled skank who feels she has something to prove will take her place and the cycle continues.

Don’t hold women to standards. Only men aim to match standards. All women like to do is set them.

I have discovered a truly remarkable list of reasons why women are not necessary for a happy life, but alas this margin is too small to contain it.

Do people have to pay for their dates to attend this military ball? If so, who’s paying? I know Marines make decent pay (though I’ve heard it’s DEFINITELY not what they deserve), but how much do you guys want to bet Rousey makes a LOT more than he does…considering not only does she fight and is known worldwide, but she’s also been in movies that I imagine paid her decently just to show her face in them.

Marines, and most enlisted personnel in the DoD (non-civilian sector) don’t get paid much. You would think so, but its not really true. Yes the military gets housing, food, and insurance for “free” but its not very good quality, and the Tricare premiums are going up every year all the while they are only getting a 1.5% pay raise for the last 5 years compared to 3% inflation rate (civilian sector in the same jobs get 5% a year)
Unfortunately one of the only ways to get “ahead” on the domestic side of Enlisted life is to get married. and 50% of all military marriages end in divorce (usually during a deployment). how sad is that.
I hope she pays for it if it has a price on it.

    1. I hate that c~~~. The only reason I even know about her is because of her foul, trash talking mouth.
    2. I never went to one Marine Corps Ball. We called that ‘mandatory fun’. We were not unskilled in our own ways to get out of it.

We’re glad that you’ve found your way here, Merch. And I couldn’t agree more. Good people, good conversations, good theories, and good intentions.

This site abounds with goodies, and as often as the trolls try: it’s impossible to silence theories, intentions, thoughts, and one’s chosen way of life.

Rather than just “not read” what others have to say due to not finding it palatable, there will always be those who would “demand” that we see things in their light. They would attempt to ruin and erase the thoughts of others in the hope that the resultant emptiness would be replaced with their own dogma. Luckily, as men, we know that this is not possible. We’ve proven it in the past, we’ve fought for it in the past, we’re living our own truths as we speak, and in the future we will continue to do so.

Men have been beaten, maimed, imprisoned, tortured and even murdered in the name of subjugation to the forced ideals of another. There have even been times in history when it seemed the oppressor had achieved their end goal of having another human being kneel at their feet in the name of self-glorification, or for their wanton reaching of deification.

Luckily, these have been relatively brief instances in the span of time. Unluckily, millions have paid the most horrific of prices in combating the deliberate harnessing and reckless degradation of the human spirit. Some have paid this price unwittingly, and others quite deliberately. Some are innocent bystanders, some are insurgents, while others are direct combatants.

In the end, “good” prevails. It might take days. It might take weeks. It might take years. It might take millennia. But it prevails.

Each of us choose what role we’ll play in the manifestation of our own destinies.

Personally, I stand by, opted off of the mad path which mainstream society has elected to follow. I harm no one unless they harm me. I’ll not let those who would harm me achieve victory, and I’ll not let those who would harm others who are close to me achieve the same. I will never, harm myself to save someone because “I am supposed to”.

Too many lie in graves which have been dug for them by “another”. “Another” who would gladly accept someone else’s sacrifice, only to forget about them before that good soul’s grave has even settled. They would forget about them because they are too weak and full of pride to acknowledge that their very own existence is a direct result of the sacrifice which they now mock, and parry about as if it were their own. These people would accept the hand of another from the shore while they were drowning; only to pull their saviour into the water, drown them, pull the body out of the water, bury it, p~~~ on the grave, and then try to cover the grave so that no one could bear witness.

And every now and then? I poke my head out of my self-built bastion, and just over the parapet. I don’t load my bow, I don’t pour boiling oil over the side, and I don’t worry too much about the Trebuchet.

Because I know full well that they can’t even f~~~ing build one.

This wench better pay both their ways into the ball, buy him a s~~~load of drinks, blow him, f~~~ his brains out, and then just leave at the end of the night after saying “Thank you”.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but on top of the paltry pay which Marines receive for their incredible fortitude and sacrifice, they have to pay for their uniforms, pay for their mess, and above all absurdity, pay for the medals which they’ve been awarded. I think I read that on a site called “We Are The Mighty”.

    Is this the case, Cap?

Ronda Rousey is an elite master of martial arts.
    She is awesome.
If you think she’s not, then you haven’t seen many fights and know nothing about training reflexes.
Rousey is one of my role models 🙂

Great. Let’s see if she’ll don a set of battledress, rather than just wear the blues to the ball.

I see what you’re saying, QCummer. And we’ve all got our definition of awesome.

    For me:

Awesome is sitting in a quickly dug slit trench on Tarawa, sharing it with the previously buried, maggot ridden corpse of a Japanese marine who tried to gun you down a week before. Sit in it for a week, in the pouring rain, unable to see what’s coming at you, unable to see what’s coming behind you while gripping the handle of a .30 cal, hoping not to accidentally shoot one of your fellow Marines. Sitting in two feet of water, in red muck, unallowed to budge, and wouldn’t anyway because of your pact to your brothers. Sitting next to that maggot ridden corpse and eating cold, rotting Lima Beans and drinking rainwater out of your helmet.

Awesome is being overshadowed and nearly forgotten about in movies, literature and hollywood because people find the European theatre and the battle against the Nazis “more interesting”. After a guy has spent four years island hopping some of the most inhospitable places on earth in the Pacific, with a s~~~ty pair of boots, some dungarees, an outdated M1903 Springfield (because the Army is more important), and an attitude that says “Y’know what? We’ll f~~~ing get it done anyway. And even though I’ve not been provided with the proper equipment, or any at all for that matter? Well then I guess I’ll climb over that hill and when I catch up to that little Jap c~~~~~~~~~, I’ll f~~~ing chew his leg off and beat him to death with it if I have to. Then I’ll probably have to eat him because the f~~~ing brass forgot to send our rations”.

Awesome is retaking Fallujah with a quarter of the high-tech gadgetry that the Army has because the army let it go to begin with, and then get made to feel like you’re “Taking Too Long” to get it done, while some asshole is dressed up as a woman in civilian clothes so that he can get close enough to you to blow himself up and take you and a bunch of your fellow Marines with him.

Awesome is even though you know full well that you’re going to be killed in a withering fire, you go back to carry out a fellow wounded Marine, because you will not let your brother lie out there in a street, bleeding to death and terrified of capture. So you go back. In that.

I know what you’re saying, QCummer.

And as far as her fighting skills go, I’ll not question them, or her own right as a fighter.

However, this article was actually about her “Being Awesome For Coming Down From Her Vaunted Position Of Greatness” to go on a date with a “Lowly Grunt”.

F~~~ her and the unicorn she rode in on.

Awesome is, coming home after all of that and being expected to don the hat of a civilian and “pretend” that “it’s all good” and just function away, paying taxes to continue to feed a machine that really couldn’t have cared less if you lived or died.

This dude is supposed to feel “graced” because a vagina that has some skills is going to go on a date with him?

For me, as far as Awesome is concerned, the Corps and the men who power it are Awesome.

    Cheers.

I respect what she has accomplished and all, but the self proclaimed feminist is a deal breaker for me.

How being awesome & feminist can be attributed to the same person is beyond my ability to reconcile.

Last I checked, the feminist movement has blown up on the face of us men.

Because of this and that i am not a female, she is NOT

Rousey is one of my role models

Nor can I bring myself to worship her, or encourage my 17 yr old daughter to.

It’s already bad enough that she thinks Taylor Swift is all that.

However, this article was actually about her “Being Awesome For Coming Down From Her Vaunted Position Of Greatness” to go on a date with a “Lowly Grunt”.
