Why you should give up TV even for background noise

Lately, I’ve been putting on TV for background noise only. Even the shows I used to like when I was a purple piller I don’t anymore.

But, every time I turn on the TV, even to just watch the news, it ends up being gynocentric as f~~~. It’s like swimming in an estrogen pool filled with misandric c~~~s.

In my purple pill days, the only thing I really watched on TV were a few shows late at night and the news. Ever since taking the red pill and becoming MGTOW however, I’ve started to hate TV every time I turn it on.

Even the news, which was originally designed to inform people and not push agendas, is full on blast gynocentric. Every time they do a news story, they always end up having to put reporter on there who’s either a feminist or a tradcon commenting on what men should or shouldn’t do. It’s annoying as f~~~ to watch and listen to.

I can stand watching tradcon men do this, but when women do this, it just makes me wanna punch my TV and throw it in the garbage can.

And every modern TV show I come across it never fails to amazes me how many jokes/statements are directed at degrading men in some form or another.

I’ve also noticed that TV ads are becoming more and more obnoxious to the point I just want to vomit if I see them.

But, TV as a whole is just a gynocentric torture machine now a days for men. I don’t even watch anime anymore, because most plots are gynocentric. The only media I stick to are older movies and I just pop them in my Ps3 for background noise.

This is one of the first steps to red pill imo.

I think most of us gave up TV a long time ago. Even when I was a kid, I had noticed that the successful men I knew, the doctors, accountants, business owners and even politicians, none of them seemed to watch any TV. They’d awkwardly pretend to follow a sports team sometimes when a team was on a run, but it was obvious they had better things to do with their time.

Nowadays the next red pill thing is getting off social media, which has replaced TV for most younger people anyway.

I have an android box with kodi installed. I only watch Louis theroux documentaries and war films….o and football (soccer). Costs me nothing.

The rest of my time lately has been spent reading, or scrolling this site.

Why do you need background noise? – I only ask out of interest. The sound of whiny voices harping on in the background is very distracting for me.

Like yourself, I take no enjoyment in any of the shows I use to watch, it only fuels my red pill rage, and that’s something I can’t seem to stop at the moment.

Modern television, and entertainment in general, sucks big time. I find refuge in watching shows online made in the 60’s – 80’s. Think there will ever be another Andy Griffith, Jim Anderson,Al Bundy or Archie Bunker? Think again.Even the women were decent. Look at Elizabeth Montgomery, Lucille Ball, to name a few. They dressed and looked like women, weren’t covered in tattoos and weren’t usually land whales.

Even when I’m stuck in a hospital bed I don’t watch TV. And the “nurses” just have to ask me why I’m not watching it. Like I need a reason!

“Why aren’t you watching TV?” “It’s all communist propaganda! And I want to hear what you’re saying in the hall because I don’t trust you, how about that?”

The History Channel used to be somewhat decent. Now it’s some kind of communist revisionism. They call Pawn Stars and Ancient Aliens “history shows”. They want to hide real history from you!

I totally agree. I think if you find something else to occupy your time with instead of watching TV, you’ll be able to better yourself as a person.

I’ve even noticed how most modern shows are full of SJW nonsense.

As far as social media goes, I only stick to Youtube to watch videos. I rarely comment on videos if at all anymore.

However, I’m saving up for an iPhone so I can rid myself of all things Google also. Youtube is just chock full of ads.

Websites like Facebook and Twitter are for women and gays!
They’re not meant for men who have better things to do with their time.

tv is now strictly for women. all the ads and shows are directed squarely at chicks because they are the ones buying all the useless crap. sports is the only thing men watch but more and more nowadays men could give a s~~~ about that even, watching a man on tv chase a ball around is the only socially sanctioned( by women) activity men are allowed to do thats masculine. But when i woke up to things i realised sports is just part of a mechanism that keeps men distracted. no offense meant to any sports fans. And the shows follow a familiar predictable arc, hot competent smart wife, buffoon husband that everyone laughs at. If your a man with any self awareness and self respect you wont like watching that crap.

The news is absolutely the worst of it. Journalism is the only industry specifically mentioned in the US Constitution and this is because they knew that a free and fair press was essential for a democracy. Journalists and politicians have become the least trusted professions, we almost accept that they are lying to us. I don’t know about you but I think its a pretty s~~~ty state of affairs when the people entrust our most precious institutions to a bunch of liars and cheats. They say people get the government they deserve and it is true. That is why people have disengaged from politics and why marginal voices are gaining ground. The people are desperate for truth and they will take it where ever they can get it.

They definitely are. I don’t trust either of them. Most journalists fall on the side of either tradcon or social justice warrior. Tradcon news is somewhat tolerable to listen to, SJW news isn’t.

But, I’m giving up watching all news because I’m sick of all the bulls~~~ they put us through.

I manage to avoid TV for 99.99% of the time. After having it absent so long, it’s like a toxic effect when I get exposed to it at someone’s house or in public.

Kind of like moving from a city with polluted air to the countryside where the air is clean, and then going back to visit the city.

A friend of mine calls TV news “escapist fantasy.” I agree with him, a long-time pal. I will add this, he and I discussed this at length and we agree on it, all mainstream media are in essence nothing more than mouthpieces for government propaganda.

If you have TV (I don’t, but that’s just me), then record all the major networks’ “national news.” Play the recordings at your leisure. Note that they all say the same things in the same words. (Yes, back when I did have TV I did do this.) Lesson learned: If ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox are saying literally the same thing, then someone who holds the whip hand over them must be dictating it all in advance.

I feel the same way! I’m a caregiver for my mom at the moment, and whenever I’m in her presence, she almost always has the TV on. It’s like stepping in a pile of toxic gynocentric mess!

Very true, Jan. It’s why I chronically watch John Wayne movies whenever I want to waste time. If I’m going to be brainwashed, it might as well be with the right stuff.

Cutting the cord was the best decision I ever made.

I do remember when the History Channel was of actual value instead of reality TV. The only show really I miss is River Monsters.

The problem with 500 channels is that the money is no longer there to pay for quality programming plus mix in the constant SJW crap, and it’s a bad, bad thing. I never watch TV news.

I’ve noticed that as well even in my purple pill years. I used to switch back and fourth between news channels. They may have had different titles for the news story, but they were almost literally saying the exact same thing. It’s amazing how most people don’t even realize this.
