Good luck with your plans. I knew I had to give it up when I found myself drinking whisky out of flower pot one night at a party cos there were no glasses left.

I am an on or off switch.
    No middle ground.
    Drinking moderatly was not doeable.
    So I quit.

I am not interested in telling you what to do.
    Good luck.

I know that feeling of no middle ground. Drank from 18 to 30 ish. Some very fun times – but missed out on achieving things i could have if not for drinking too much. For me it was the right time/age to gradually give it up.

This one used to make my windows shake on my Civic-had a 12 inch bass tube in the boot with a nice amp boilted to back seats

installed it in the middle of edgeware road just outside Colindale

was testing it with the sampler cd at the shop and all these NW10 gangsters kept pulling up trying to out bass me.

I drank fairly heavily for the first year I was dealing with divorce and for an additional six months of fallout after. I stopped drinking when I was less emotional and was able to analyze with a clear head the long-term negative health consequences of drinking. Of course, I wasn’t a heavy drinker before going through divorce, so it was really just a short-term coping mechanism for me.

My neighbor used to play his trumpet on the water, the echoes were awesome, also had a bag piper in the family play amazing grace on the same jetty, it’s an enormous amphitheater, I learned when I was a kid you can hear what people are saying all around the lake, I learned to watch what I was saying anywhere near the water! Calm water the sound travels unabated.

Speaking of lakes I want to move here -trouble is property (real estate) costs a fortune and it’s full of tourists in the summer as it’s only 1 1/2 hours from 2 major cities plus Japanese Tourists like it because it’s near all the Beatrix Potter Bollox.

either there or near The Kneedles on the Isle of White (an Island of The south Coast of england -40 minutes by ferry from Portsmouth)-water is very calming.

We might have to go back to that.

In Manc the afterhours place when the clubs shut at 4am or 6am was called The Red House it was on ludgate hill in Ancoats/Collyhurst near the car poond it’s all regenerated now -one used to takes ones life in ones hand going round there back then.

When I lived in the city, after the club, we went out to Bickfords for breakfast at around 2:30 AM, did’t get home until 5:00 AM, an hour of sleep then work all weekend at the shop, mostly on our own stuff we entered in car shows.

I like the sound of that tower.
