While we all are experiencing the consequences of “women’s liberation” and the inequity of the laws that stack the balance in favour of women by a large margin, I wonder how and why we got to where we are now.
Fabianism is a methodology of creeping change to a progressive, liberal, socialist world view in which gains for that cause are made in sometimes imperceptible ways in which the true desired effect of some change is actually the (to those who are blind) ‘unintended consequence’. Feminism has borrowed this creeping change and secured its gains through it too many times hitching itself onto the progressive philosophy.
Notwithstanding the here and now and the brief comment on the how; I want to mention what I think the biggest issue was in the whole “liberation” front.
Not all women are mothers, sisters, wives etc but every single one of them is a daughter.
I believe that the failure in the West especially has been the effect of the liberal leaning ‘baby boomer’ generation who failed to upkeep the control that is necessary of women (note that I do not mean Draconian control here) to keep society focussed on the traditional role of families and the men that lead them to better things for the family unit and for society as a whole.
I think the baby boomer fathers were where the battle was lost against their daughters. Sure there have always been rebellious daughters who have cut their ties to family to liberate themselves from the expectations put on them.
Society had a greater focus on honor and integrity (male values) in the past. Fathers of the baby boomer generation let go of this and the chastity of their daughters became a sacrifice in the name of women’s liberation.
Obviously there is a lot more to it, with other factors at play. An example is the invention of the birth control pill (unwanted pregnancy had always been a natural brake on promiscuity) but even so the absenteeism of strong fathers and male values during this period of social change contributed immensely to the state we are in.
While I don’t think the situation we see in the Islamic world where women are curtained and oppressed is the ideal alternative to what we are living in the West – one can see how much control was necessary of women in general in order to keep the basics of their societies functioning. When people see the way women are kept in countries like Iran, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan they are aghast and by Western standards condemn the strict control of women’s freedom.
But what freedom is being restricted here? It is obvious that it is primarily women’s sexual freedom. The West is learning now the lesson of why allowing women unrestricted sexual permit is a recipe for disaster. The social engineering of shows like “Sex in the City” are now fully on show for everyone to experience for themselves. The liberated sexually active woman is the star of the show we call reality nowadays.
But all of these women are daughters, and the primary point of failure has been in my opinion the fathers of these women in exerting any control of their daughters honor, integrity and chastity. Society is suffering the effects of the absent control of these daughters.

All society evolves, all society is responsible for such changes, I’m not even sure we should use the word “faults”.
We are just recognising the existence of permanent social changes, and adapting to such changes.

I think there’s definitely a misunderstanding somewhere here.
The world doesn’t operate on unbridled freedom.
We engineer dams to control water. We build walls and check points to control movement of people. We put wild animals in cages.
I think the approach that MGTOW is using is the one of allowing the disaster of unbridled sexual freedom of women and unbalanced power to women through unfair legislation (ie. force) to unfold to an eventual collapse.
The collapse is inevitable. Women won’t and can’t stay “free” whatever that means. Human continuity demands specialisation of women as the producers of more humans.
MGTOW can only be a means to an end. Going one’s own way forevermore is not a logical option unless one’s aim is the end of humanity.
So what is the goal or the desired end? It can’t be “equality” again whatever that means. It must mean that what needs to be controlled is controlled once more.
Unchecked forces (natural and ideological) can threaten and destroy society. I think men in the West will have to rediscover the methods of controlling and balancing the forces which are making life for men more difficult.
The ideology of MGTOW seems to me to be a reactive protest to the current situation. It is also a rediscovery of the need for men to be able to be independent in order to achieve the great things we all enjoy now.
That’s all fine but the long term plan must contain something regarding the eventual ‘repentance’ of women who have gone astray.
Maybe I’m wrong though. Maybe it is all about engineering new Fleshlight sleeves and having a dog companion and everything is all for nothing.
MGTOW is the radical notion that women are fully responsible human beings, and men shouldn’t care about women: men should care about themselves because life can be hard, and most women aren’t out to make men’s lifes better, quite the opposite.
There will never be “repentance” of women, and we don’t want it.
Women have nothing to apologise: women just ARE.

In my country there are now paid leaves for women who are victims of DV, but not for men who are victims of DV, there are 485 shelters reserved to women while there are about 320 women victim of DV each year: it’s 1.5 shelters for each female victim.
