I’ve stated before that I wish this site was around 15 years ago when I met my wife – may have saved me from a miserable marriage. I literally look for ways to avoid spending time with my wife (such as taking the kids to do something I know she doesn’t like).

I don’t care if the stats in 5 years say: “95% of the marriages in the last five years have remained happily married.” The trust is gone and will not come back enough for me to pick up a hooker. I don’t think the numbers are accurate. The CDC posts here under “marriage disruption” (“Marital disruption is defined as separation, divorce or death”) that the “Probability of first marriage disruption by duration of marriage among women 15-44 years of age:” for 20 years is 53% for the years 2011-2015. up from 48% for 2006-2010.

I heard Ben Shapiro on the radio the other day promoting Tradcon (He specifically said “traditional conservatism”), because, he said, men are basically animals and without the taming force of these rules of society, men would basically be brutes (although he didn’t use that word).

Does anyone have the actual cdc document these stats are pulled from? The link is to statisticsbrain and they don’t directly reference where these come from. I can’t find them in any docs i see from national survey for family growth.
