I think aliens would come here just to visit. I used to live in north Idaho, there was pretty much nothing there except for a few bars. People from all over the western United States would come there and visit. Maybe they just see it as something to do.

Of course these would be the elite aliens while the rest of the peasant aliens would be debt slaves and be at work.

The question could be WHY are aliens here?

I was once a great king, I believe you were too. I hope you believe in me, I hope you believe in you.

Well the universe might be a speck on a microscope slide and we could all just be an experiment some alien scientist is watching thru a microscope.

    Prove me wrong.

It is not logically possible we are alone. Possible, yes, but not logical. Finite or infinite doesn’t matter at this point, since we have enough observable evidence.

Yes, it is logical; it’s math. You didn’t understand my argument.

Hang on, I’ll get out my crayons and picture books:

Picture a roulette wheel. Every time it lands on 00, life forms.

In roulette there are 37 outcomes, only one of which yields “life”. If we spin this wheel once or twice…or even 15 times, we don’t necessarily expect life to form. If we spin it hundreds of times, we expect that we’ll get an average of 1/37 life forming events.

Here is the rub: we have an estimate of how many “spins” we get in the observable universe. But, we have no idea what the odds of “winning” are.

If the number of “spins” is on the order of decillions…but the odds of winning are one in a quindecillion, life likely will not form.

    We could be alone.

I don’t believe we are, but it’s a feeling. We only have half the data we need to make an informed, logical judgement on this.

Put your tin foil hats away gents…Billy’s getting a beer.

    The answer, is no.

Apologies if you think I’m swinging this to some religious thread, not my intention. I’ll respect that. Cheers.

My apologies. I thought you were basically getting into intelligent design, which is what the grenade argument basically is.

The Galileo probe just passed beyond the solar system.

We humans are pretty stupid to alert our predators of our existence – their new food source. But hey, it wont be the first time someone invited in an alien race to conquer and destroy us.

Whats the reason if they are? That naturally leads on to questions about us, our place in the cosmos and the nature between any intelligent aliens and us.

The nature between us: only three logical options:
    – Parasitic
    – Symbiotic
    – a Mixture of the two

If the aliens can space travel, they are stronger than us and can enslave us and harvest us for food. Will they? Do we want to take that chance, given what we know about power structures between species, and even breeds within a species?

(See what I did there? I said “breeds” there so I can’t be accused of racism… only breedism, which isn’t politically incorrect yet.)

The Top 10 Reasons I Don’t Trust NASA

Why are they faking so much s~~~, and never showing us the real images.

Wow! That’s the most compelling evidence I have seen. I have never been a moon denier, but this video is making me think twice.

Hang on, I’ll get out my crayons and picture books:

I am beginning to get a clear picture of why men are so f~~~ed in this society by women. Here is yet another uneducated Professor Jack-Ass trying to cut a brother down.

Always the ones who don’t know what they are talking about trying to teach the ones who do. *sigh*

I wouldn’t be surprised if you are a divorce lawyer or judge or law enforcement officer or politician or government worker. Tell us the truth, which is it?

Anyway, you play with crayons and picture book, by your own admission.

If the number of “spins” is on the order of decillions…but the odds of winning are one in a quindecillion, life likely will not form.

I understand you perfectly. Your assumption is just stupid, and you’re a little bitch to boot. I am so tired of squashing you little gnats.

What assumption? The whole point of my argument is we are missing half the information we need to make an estimate – I.e, no assumptions.

The crayon comment was douchbag-esque, so I apologize brother.

Eh, you know what, I over-reacted. I guess I kinds started it in the way I talked about big numbers – I probably came off as condescending.

You were probably just being glib and I totally over-reacted. My apology. If I had a dime for everytime I was a douch-bag, I’d be a millionaire. And it would really smell like vag in here.

I dunno – I think if you have the conditions of Earth, then life will most definitely form. And given the number of celestial objects and stars, there must definitely be loads of “Earths” out there. That’s the assumption I am working on. Who am I to argue your assumptions. I don’t have the facts anyway.

You’re cool, bro – I would delete it if I could.

Same here man. I had a few too many beers and got on my high horse – not my finest moment.

I was also kind of a dick to @raj.

    You’re a good dude.

Also, I completely agree with you that life formation is probably not that rare, and there are lots of Earth-like planets in the universe, no doubt about it.

My argument isn’t even original to me. I first saw it reading Richard Dawkins. That dude is a logic ninja. I repeated it here for the benefit of those who haven’t seen it. If you haven’t checked out Dawkins, I highly recommend him.

He is a logic-ninja, and he is also a total mangina / pro-feminist. I don’t understand how he can call himself a Evolutionary Biologist, and then advocate for equality of the sexes. Obviously, men and women evolved to be complete opposites for division of labor in the pair-bonding unit. I just don’t get the man, but he is in the academic world, which is totally whacked today.

No s~~~? I didn’t know that about him, that’s disappointing. I was huge into him a number of years ago and read all his books. He knows his s~~~ on the evolution side.

    The answer, is no.

Me too. Yes he does. So I started following his videos on YouTube, and then it got all equality of the sexes and I got turned off. The God Delusion is a great book though.

Yeah, it’s a fanstastic book. The blind watchmaker and the selfish gene are incredible as well.

Humans watch “Games of Thrones”. Aliens watch “Game of stupid Humans” (their version of “Jackass”).

Not sure if this is fake the physics is sound, but very “Black Hat” you will never learn this in any university.

    Incredible find.

They should get the Chinese to “back engineer” the aircraft. The Chinese can reverse engineer anything.

    Minute 14 gets really interesting.

“The craft generates it’s own gravitational field”. Interesting.

At minute 28, “It appears there are two different forms of gravity”.

I do not believe he is correct in saying gravity slows down time. The Theory of Relativity is just that – relativity. It appears time is slowing down, but time does not actually slow down.
