I believe it was a charade.

Remember, the people President Trump put in charge of the U.S. military were fired by Obama because they prevented Obama from starting World War III with Russia over Syria.

President Trump’s detractors expected him to fold over the Syrian false flag gas attack. Instead, he ante up in this insane poker game.

If President Trump can solve the Syrian mess in a manner that Russian government is okay with then that would decrease the chance of war between the U.S. and Russia to the point of the U.S. having possible peaceful relationships with Russia.

After Syria the only sicking point is China. And President Trump used the missile strike to send a message to the government of China.

Well I’ve just re-read the posts and Fuast’s point makes sense to me. I don’t quite get It’salbs’s point. OK lets suppose there is this grand world government pulling the strings behind the scenes; how does that explain events?

On the face of it Faust’s point is logical that’s why so many will believe it and reach the same conclusion.

Smoke and mirrors. Sanctions never really do much of any value. Although the Syrians were bombed the real target was China. Syria is an irrelevant backwater. Assad isn’t going anywhere anytime soon and who cares one way or the other. China is the true adversary and the one we’re stuck with for the next 20 years….including its lap-dog NK. The message Trump was sending is simple: We can send cruise missiles into NK and take out its nuclear arsenal…and we will if you don’t rein in your pals.

Because no evidence or rational argument has been proposed in support of that proposition. You see without evidence or logic you are just uttering conclusions. You say he is a puppet–I say he isn’t–without evidence we will just banty conclusions back and forth and get nowhere.

The process of logical reasoning depends upon facts and data. without facts and data there is no way for Faust, myself or anyone else to evaluate the merits of your argument. In which case we would necessary be relying upon faith alone. Now I trust that you’re a sincere honest guy who truly believes what you’re saying but it would be nice to have some evidence/facts too.
