They killed off Han Solo. F~~~ these new Star War films.

I don’t want to see some bitch as the lead. I want to see Han Solo and Chewie have an adventure.

be worried then because they are making a solo Han Solo film….I hate to think how it will turn out.

His persona in the original trilogy is no doubt classed as “toxic masculinity” so expect him to be pussified (no doubt a new female sidekick will be involved who sorts out the situations he gets into)

I recently heard that all the cringe worthy s~~~ Gin did in the trailer isn’t in the film and they also re-shot 40% of it.

From the Ep. 7 backlash maybe?

I am guessing that scene where she beats up a dozen stormtroopers singlehandedly went.

    SPOILERS:

Yup. Her and Diego get attacked by a dozen stomries, she pulls out a baton, then it cuts to her whacking a stormie and the rest have evaporated. There was clearly a cut there, quite jarring really.

The overused cliche of Ben Mendelsohn in his white uniform standing centre screen looking impressive got cut too, which is good. He deserves better.

The movie was great. It was the closest thing to the original trilogy I have seen yet. I actually teared at one point it brought so much nostalgia from Star Wars as a youth.

Yes, the girl power feminism made a few showings but not enough to make me stew for long. I hated The Feminist Awakens. I loved this movie. Huge difference between the two. I plan on seeing it again.

I watched the force awakens and didn’t like it as I thought some plot points didn’t make sense and left big holes in the story like: *SPOILER ALERT*

-The empire remnants being able to reform under some new character that came from nowhere and having the resourcers and tech to weaponize an entire planet, something that they were not able to do when the empire was at it’s prime. That felt like the plot was just written with the worry of topping the scale of the series past events.

-Luke’s uncharacteristically avoiding fighting his nephew because of guilty and very conveniently needing to be dragged back to the fight by Rey. He fought his own father. That Luke would have thought that was is duty to change is nephew’s mind or put him down.

And there are some others that I won’t talk about here in order to not further derail the topic.
Well I am very skeptical of Rogue One. I will still give it a go to see if this spin off is more enjoyable than the force awakens but if it’s the same s~~~ then I will be skiping all star wars movies by disney from now on.

Pity and contempt are siblings. You only feel pity for those you consider weak.
