MGTOW take-away on this. Are movies worth it anymore with how PC Hollywierd has become. Probably not.

To be honest I will not see the movie at the theaters. Its just too damn expensive and I hate massively packed and crowded theaters. I will rent it when it comes out. I’m just not to anxious to see it after the 4th star wars movie came out and Jar Jar f~~~ed the series up for me like a big old splintery 2×4 up the ass…

    Anyway.

People have started the #DumpStarWars after someone said the movie was politically against Trump. Personally I don’t see any actual corroborating evidence. However. I do see indications that the screenwriter, director and numerous executives involved have drunk deeply from the “Muh diversity, multiculturalism, socialist progressive” kool-aid.

The screenwriter for Rogue one posted this in all seriousness. If that doesn’t tell you his political bent I don’t know what will. (even if the poor sod doesn’t know the history of wearing the safety pin.)

Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy penned this little middle finger to the star wars fandom. In short “f~~~ you if you are a male star wars fan” women and diversity shall rule.
    Yea, No agenda there.

Boycott all “Mary Sue” movies, Rogue One included.

Once upon a time, I posted a lengthy rant about why I quit going to movie theaters. @chir has summarized it nicely.

    I will add this:
    * My home theater snack bar serves adult beverages, and anything else I want — provided I’m smart enough to make a run to the grocery store first.
    * Plus, there is no danger of food poisoning — something one cannot say about theater snack bars. (Believe me, I’m a survivor!)
    * The restroom is uncrowded and reasonably sanitary.
    * I am in control of anyone and everyone who wants to yack on a cellphone during the quiet scenes. (So far, no one has this privilege. If they want to yack, smoke, or otherwise disrupt my environment, then they can just pick up and go outside!)
    * The price is right. A DVD from RedBox is so cheap, it borders on free, and I can cook and eat two days worth of meals for the price of a bucket of popcorn and a soda from a theater snack bar. (Concerns about food poisoning aside.)

When you can remember that there were only 3 TV stations, and no such thing as a vcr player never mind a dvd player etc., then you can truly appreciate today’s multiple entertainment venues. Having this frame of reference turns the “movies” into an easily avoidable and quite frankly an undesirable option.

Here’s the thing. They can show us strong women in the movies all they want. Those of us who know that the vast majority of women would be f~~~ed on toast without a man in their lives aren’t going to buy it.

Men who swallow the whole “strong independent woman who don’t need no man” narrative will try harder and harder to be whatever it is they think women want them to be… and they will fail harder and harder.

The real losers in this deal? Women. The more they believe this bulls~~~, the more miserable they become. Let them think they can do it all. Let them think a typical 110lb girl can kick the s~~~ out of a man twice her size. Let them believe that they’re going to lead the revolution. Let them believe whatever they want.

Let them destroy their bodies with drugs, alcohol and dangerous behavior. Let them ruin their hearts and minds with wanton promiscuity. Let them murder their babies, squander their youths, destroy their futures and believe there’ll never have to pay a price for it.

It’s going to be hilarious. So much so, to be honest, that I think we should help them along. I like the Tom Leykis approach… “I’m America’s biggest feminist!” Here’s the idea:

    • Call yourself a feminist.
    • Point out how important it is for women to be treated just like men.
    • Treat women exactly the way you’d treat men.
    • Transfer no value to women that you wouldn’t transfer to men.
    • Stop dating.
    • Stop deferring to women.
    • Stop using pornography.
    • Stop seeing women as different and special.

    And, most of all…

    • Stop talking about women.

When we start looking at women the way we look at men, that’s when they will truly be equal. That’s what they say they want so let’s give it to them… let’s give them as much rope as they want and then we’ll get to watch them hang themselves with it.

Nicely summarized, Awakened. I was almost about to say that, too… … instead:

This is most probably not the only flick I am very likely to boycott over the next say odd dozen months since compromises regarding movie sequels and/or prequels (all the more now than ever before) are being considered and not least because of the current desperate last-gasping-profit-stance of today’s corporate economic climate when virtually nothing ultimately seems “economically safe” anymore and a general “sudden-collapse-angst” reigns supreme almost no matter where you look.

So on that note, even though at the moment I am still (slightly skeptically) just about on the brink of boycotting “Blade Runner 2049” at this stage I will not really hold my breath just yet when it comes to switch back towards wanting to watch it…

You could safely say, that my current curiosity towards that film has a slight negative nothing expecting undertone to it.
And in part that’s due to the nowadays fashionable and albeit infamous behavior of creators of sequels/prequels to keep certain “mysteries” about actions cast etc alive until the very last second in such an overdoing and exaggerated way, despite the fact, that we live in a digital age, in which facts as well as rumors can spread like wild fire at light speed, a behavior which in itself comes across quite pathetic and/or self-ridiculed, once you take a step back and really think about it… … marketing has surpassed its own products.

    Mark my words.

I didn’t even know this movie was being released until I heard about it on here the other day. I just completely ignore all that Hollywood movie crap mostly because I just don’t care.

Little girls look up to strong women in movies and in real life. Women, on the other hand, hate other women who are better than them in real life so I really wonder if most women care to see the strong woman cliche in a movie. I’m sure the hardcore feminists and lesbians do but generally speaking i don’t think most women do. They can’t relate and it’s not their fantasy.

Yes well, the official title (Blade Runner 2049) has only been existing for a bit more than a month now, although the shoot was done in the late of this last summer.

So whats the difference between boycotting and simply not going? Does anyone think that “sending a message” to hollywood by complaining and saying we’re going to discourage others from seeing a film is going to make any difference?

How about just register your opinion with your dollars and not go? I, personally, don’t care what images hollywood wants to stick in my brain… I don’t have to go. There are literally tens of thousands of movies to watch, not to mention millions of things to do that don’t involve watching movies at all.

Boycotting is a “public” statement saying “I am not going to buy this because <REASON>!”

Not particularly MGTOW. MGTOW are more privately stating, “Meh, expensive s~~~. Not worth my money.”

I personally don’t give a rancid t~~~ about the boycott.

However, I did think it was worth posting how feminist infested the people who were involved with the movie were. It was an O’really moment and worth a post mocking it.

You know.. lift up a rock and see the feminists scurry away to get out from the light.

I don’t plan to see it. It’s nothing more than a disney merchandising vehicle and the means to further bastardize a franchise that used to be something good.

Unlike many of you here, I love female protagonist in entertainment mediums, especially Mary Sues.

    Why ?

They, the Mary-Sue protagonists, are perfect for a MGTOW like me. Every time a woman asks me for help, I just tell her to do it herself unless if she pays me money – After all, it is current year and women are supposed to be strong, independent and empowered beings who can do everything a man can do.

There is also the fact that female protagonists always result in excellent Rule 34 fap material.

    😀

I’m glad the idea came up.I won’t be seeing it in the theater, just because I don’t go to the theater at all anymore.

I’ve been boycotting all of Hollyweird’s offerings since Scarlett Johanssen thought I might care about her opinion during the 2012 elections.

That ass though on the poster. Not enough to make me see it, but I do like a short girl with a booty. Overall though, I’m not nearly as weak as they like to think men are when it comes to selling to us.

Redbox for a dollar maybe, but I might have to see episode VII first.

I failed to realize in my youth that I was the prize. I was going to work. I was going to earn. Little did I realize that due to feminism, that no longer meant I had to share. Road soon, Desert after.

Instead of a Star Wars boycott. I would suggest as a way to snub Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy’s insult towards fanboys is to request through social media, the production crew and cast of the Star Wars franchise to openly support Star Wars fans of all races, genders, faiths, and social economic standing. In contrast to Kathleen Kennedy’s sexist comments against male Star Wars fans.

‘Rogue One’ Writers Connect Election to ‘Star Wars’: “The Empire Is a White Supremacist” Organization

In the wake of this week’s U.S. election, the symbol of Star Wars’ Rebellion had been adopted by many fans protesting the victory of Donald Trump – and now, two of the writers of next month’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story have referenced the relationship between that movie and the current political reality on social media.

Chris Weitz tweeted the following Friday morning –

Please note that the Empire is a white supremacist (human) organization

    – Chris Weitz (@chrisweitz) November 11, 2016

    – with Gary Whitta, the original writer on the project, responding in kind:

Opposed by a multi-cultural group led by brave women. https://t.co/UUcjwflMWG

    – Gary Whitta (@garywhitta) November 11, 2016

Weitz’s tweet followed his praise for this op-ed piece from CBR.com, which explicitly connects Rogue One to this week’s U.S. elections, with writer Brett White calling the movie “the most relevant movie of 2016,” explaining, “When I look at the ‘Rogue One’ trailers, I see what I want from America. I see a multicultural group standing strong together led by a rebellious and courageous woman. That’s what we are working towards, and what we will continue to work towards no matter what. That’s what America – a land created as a haven for the persecuted, to be able to realize their limitless dreams – was created to be.”

As if to cement the connection, both Weitz and Whitta have changed their Twitter avatars to an image of the Rebel insignia with a safety pin through it, a reference to the symbol of solidarity with persecuted minorities that has gained currency in the U.S. following the election. (It came from the U.K., post Brexit vote, where minorities faced similar prejudice and attacks.)

Ever since 2005, I’ve been avoiding movies like the plague. There’s just plain garbage now, not paying to see such crap. But we’re lucky that we have almost a century of movies to watch, so there’s no shortage.
