I was waiting for this and I knew the whole boycott thing would start. This is probably the only thing I will disagree with MGTOW about. You can go boycott the movie if you want but I won’t be doing that. I’ve been looking forward to the movie and will probably see it multiple times. If it’s about the female lead you really got to get over that factor. One of the arguments is things aren’t equal between men and women in society i hear that. The fact men should have the right to not be forced into parenthood like women are. Yeah I agree these should change. However, if that should be equal as an example having a female lead should be equal as well as a man lead in a movie. Plus it’s a sci-fi movie which doesn’t reflect reality. It’s a fictional place with super powers for both men and women. If you wanted to attack TV shows that reflect reality then I’d be with you. I struggled with this factor last year and almost considered myself not as a MGTOW and then someone says MGTOW is doing your own thing and not caring on what people think. Well, I have my ticket and plan to go see the early show on December 15th. For those who are really boycotting a movie because of a female lead or feminist influence I really feel sorry for you and you are just doing what they are doing. Has it worked for them? Nope if it was working 100% a lot of us wouldn’t be there. So continue on with your boycotting a movie which doesn’t reflect reality but fantasy. Maybe I’m bias here because I am a Star Wars fan that enjoyed the Force Awakens. Woah did I say that and I’ll say it again. Good job guys to those who are boycotting and see where it gets you because I won’t be brainwashed out of the experience and won’t think I’m wrong when I go. Oh begin the hate and call me stupid. I don’t care what anyone thinks.

I don’t have a problem if a female lead is actually human. By that I mean characters like Sarah Connor or Ripley – in their first films they are geeks but grow up through experience into great characters in their second films.

Rey from Feminist Awakens was Ripley and Connor from their second films without the first film build up and it was s~~~. Clear agenda pushing and it makes ALL the difference

plus when I see some 4 foot woman beating up 15 trained killers in armour with one punch, I can’t suspend my disbelief (that was in the Rogue 1 trailer)

I will rent it when it comes out.

Nah. Torrent it or check it out for free at your local library if you absolutely must see it, but don’t pay a single penny for it.

Personally, I consider it a NEWT. Not Even Worth Torrenting.

I didn’t see the last one, but I understand it was some Magical Girl bulls~~~. That’s more than enough to abandon the series. Personally, they lost me at ewoks. Jarjemima and midichlorians only confirmed it.

I’ll be watching it on the big screen – in my neck of the woods its only $7, $12 with Coke and popcorn.

It looks bad though. “Watch Empowered White Girl single handedly whoop a dozen stormtroopers in a carefully choreographed fight! Watch Empowered White Girl learn her father is mixed up in it and say, ‘this time its personal!’ Watch Token Genuine Action Star Donnie Yen whoop a dozen stormtroopers in a carefully choreographed fight! Watch Empowered White Girl give a Rousing Speech and change the world!” The trailers suggest it is the most formulaic derivative action movie s~~~e imaginable.

But I’ll watch it on the big screen, hopefully I’ll be wrong.

As for Kathleen ‘f~~~ the fans!’ Kennedy – she can spout all the s~~~ she wants, but Disney only releasing toys for boys (no damn Rey figures!) after Episode VII, The Mary-Sue Awakens, says it all about where their priorities lie.

I’m not boycotting so to say, but I didn’t plan on seeing this movie. I’ve only ever really watched Star Wars movies because Jedi were cool and this one I don’t think has much to do with Jedi/Sith. Not really interested in this one…as far as I’m concerned its just going to be a crappy space action movie cashing in on the Star Wars name.

I don’t even mind female leads in a movie when it fits the role…with something like Jedi it wasn’t ever about being physically badass…it was about using the force…but if Disney wants to start making every Star Wars movie girl power movies I’m going to start boycotting just because they are pushing a political agenda at that point rather than just making entertaining movies.

I find it funny that they view the empire as a white supremacist group.

    Clone troopers – not white
Darth Maul (first Sith) – not white
Only Stormtrooper to take off his helmet – not white.

The first starwars was basically entirely white…both sides. The only major characters that were not white were aliens or Darth Vadar…played by a black man.

On top of that, if you look at merchandise sales, I would be shocked if Empire related gear doesn’t outsell the Rebel gear. People love the White Supremacist Empire!

I’ll be seeing the movie with my kids. I’m drawn in because it’s Star Wars and because of the SPX. I want to see the black suit troopers and the walkers. I’m more interested in the Empire then I am the rebels.

It’ll be interesting to see how well the Han Solo spin off will do, but I bet they manage to make it into a female protagonist anyway.

    Ok. Then do it.

Not a surprise at coming out of Hollywood. In reality the Empire is U.S./Israel imposing it’s will upon others. Jewish influence is certainly not the Rebels nor the Republic that they fight for, but since they control the narrative now in this franchise the Empire will of course resemble who they perceive to be their enemy. This s~~~ doesn’t happen on accident. Agenda can be seen in most Hollywood stuff now days.

Star Wars has jumped the shark so long ago. A few of the books were pretty interesting, but that was like 20 years ago. My imagination can easily make a better star wars movie then the dog s~~~ they put out now.

That being said, Star Wars is like a dormant blue pill in people. It really does invoke nostalgia in a lot of people, even MGTOWs. Still, I am undecided on seeing this movie. Going to the movies sucks in general and Hollywood/Disney is nothing but a trashy, subversive, globalist agenda.

I just see it as entertainment. Rogue One and anything else is fiction, for our amusement. It’s meant to be seen in a theater. But considering we’re expecting temperatures around zero (F) on the first weekend of Rogue One’s release, I probably won’t see it… or even go outside.

Oddly, the last picture I saw in the theater was the last Star Wars movie (“Force Awakens”).

I’m not boycotting, but I definitely am not going to see it. It has little to do with the political reasons (though that does help make me say no) and more of the direction they are taking this IP.

The new movies are usually all crap. They don’t make good movies anymore.

I did end up watching the movie (had a free pass) – and I have to admit that I enjoyed it – propaganda aside. Yes, if you want to read into the plot, there is tons and tons of propaganda.

    Spoiler ahead.

My view, is the female lead lived up to everything feminism has become. Strong lead protagonist bites off more then she can chew, is at the brink of failure, and men swoop in to save the day, cleanup the mess, and ultimately succeed. Classic.

have been reading the fan reviews (paid msm reviewers can’t be trusted) and pretty much all of them say it is a boring film up until the last 20 minutes.

That is the action scene with the AT-ATs so that isn’t surprising. Thank f~~~ I didn’t pay any money to watch that s~~~

I am getting a mate to download it…won’t pay a penny for it

I am only interested in the end action scene and I suspected it was going to go down the Halo Reach ending and from the spoilers; I was right

    Well I saw it.

    I LOVED it.

It had everything Farce Awakens didn’t – genuine suspense, genuine idea of sacrifice, really good battle scenes (the last act is probably the best Star Wars battle since Hoth, IMO), awesome CG cameos, BEN F~~~ING MENDELSOHN, Vader kicked ass, smart choices that have logical consequences not just bulls~~~ (“I gotta free this guy…. Hey, Kylo wants to see him!… that was easy”), female characters that seem to be part of the cause and not just tacked on for GRRL POWER, (the final Rebel assault group were entirely male, other than Jin, and as mentioned by Eyeswideopen above saved Jin from getting her ass whooped). In fact it was like a polar opposite of Feminist Awakens – in that one, you didn’t know where the movie was going but there was no suspense, the main characters were clearly just going to bulls~~~ their way through. In Rogue One, you know exactly how it is going to end (if you know your Star Wars) and yet it is full of suspense and tension, the way Peter Jackson pulled off The Return of the King, you know the story but he still made you care.

The music was really bad (not John Williams) and it’s the only Star Wars movie with Star Destroyers that actually look like models, but I still loved it. Turned out the s~~~ parts were in the trailer. Glad I was wrong.

I recently heard that all the cringe worthy s~~~ Gin did in the trailer isn’t in the film and they also re-shot 40% of it.

From the Ep. 7 backlash maybe?

I am guessing that scene where she beats up a dozen stormtroopers singlehandedly went.

Like I said above – I have no interest in paying for it but am curious to see that end battle so am getting a mate to download it and as soon as he has I will go round his to watch it

They killed off Han Solo. F~~~ these new Star War films.

I don’t want to see some bitch as the lead. I want to see Han Solo and Chewie have an adventure.
