Wow, great post, inspiring responses.  My simple solution is create your own world where you don’t see any negative stuff.  Focus on positive stuff that make you happy and content with the life you want.  World will go on, you must go on being happy on your own terms, in your own way.  Have a fantastic day every one.

I am in complete agreement with RayBandaku – “create your own world”. Actually, Triklops, you already are in your own world since only you can experience reality from your own perceptions. You have the freedom to control the modes of how you decide to perceive reality, but you are not free to evade it. For example, you can choose to ignore the tornado siren if you like in a tornado-prone state like I do but you are not free from harm if that tornado tracks over your home. Reality in your case is the ‘women are great – men are pigs’ theme running through contemporary culture and the entertainment industry – it p1sses me off too, but the solution is to control what you choose to view, whether it’s printed media, sports, television, instant streaming, porn, etc. I use Netflix DVDS, instant streaming and Directv – while I used to play video games I decided that for me it wasn’t enough fun and I used to get motion sickness playing those 1st person shooters – lol.

I have adopted these rules, which I haven’t actually written down before, that I follow assiduously and that allow me peace of mind whether it’s along the lines of what aggravates you or other stuff that aggravates me, which is mostly political in nature:

Overall rules:

All entertainment except for the Super Bowl must be recorded or of a written nature. I will only watch the Super Bowl live and since I stopped gambling many years ago I don’t have to watch sports live. For recorded events on my DVR, I always fast-forward through commercials, half-times, football play reviews, etc – I am serious when I say that I probably only accidentally see a commercial several times a year. While I do listen to radio live of course I turn the channel or turn it off when commercials come on.

I immediately stop consuming entertainment when male-bashing, feminism or political views I detest are evident. Period. The DVD is ejected, the TV show I recorded is deleted, the book is shut, etc. I consume entertainment to be entertained, not lectured to and not demeaned.

No newspapers – not any more, haven’t read one for years because what doesn’t make the paper is even more informative than what does.

TV rules:

1 – I never watch anything on the Big 4 networks except sports like the NFL and college football.
2 – I will not watch ‘reality’ shows except outdoor hunting and fishing shows.
3 – I will watch cable series like “The Walking Dead” and “Justified” that do not bash men but portray them in a much more fair way.
4 – Having Directv allows me to see a lot of college and NFL football games that I love, otherwise I would get the shakes for over 5 months yearly!

Movie rules:

1 – no ‘chick flicks’ – ever
2 – no political movies of any kind
3 – no movies with activist actors/actresses with major involvement
4 – I will not watch any movie unless I know exactly what it’s about – I don’t want to know what happens but I have to know
the essentials so I can avoid what I’m trying to avoid

It’s the same way I view women nowadays – they can be entertaining if I choose the right one, at least for a while, but I am free to hit the EJECT button on the rest and go my own way.

It’s expected that if you’re MGTOW that you are angry, and this is true… in the beginning. We all go through that anger part when we find out the scope and scale of how women individually and as a collective have betrayed us as men. It is a righteous anger, but when we take our collective intellect and dissect it we usually realize that placing our wrath upon women is also wrong, the anger fades for the most part. Vengeance against a woman, any woman, or even ALL women would never make up for the hurt and damage caused, so it is moot, pointless, and even counter productive. MGTOW is based upon the principle of non-violence, and resistance via non-involvement.

Will women ever come around, well their single-mindedness in the area of self interest should be kicking in any minute  now. Within the next 5 years we might see a major change in attitudes. Don’t be fooled though, they won’t have magically overcome their own selfish female nature, they will simply change their tactics and try and lure us back into servitude. They are already more than ready to throw their feminist sisters under the bus, which is hilarious in and of itself, but it’s not enough.

It truth, nothing shot of a catastrophic societal collapse will give us a chance to re-order society in a way that men are not threatened with a life of enslavement by women. This STILL won’t change female nature, but will give us an opportunity to create a new society with established rules to keep them in check. If I’m lucky/unlucky enough I’ll see this in my lifetime…. yeah I’m not going to hold my breath.

Life is too long to play by someone elses rules....

I avoid anything I know to be gynocentric or with misandrist crap, if I accidentally stumble onto it, it gets turned off/goes in the garbage/deleted immediately. I’ve pretty much only watch what’s in the collection on my server, which is entirely downloaded TV/Movies/Docs centered around the affairs of men. Right now I’m watching a movie from 1988 called Bat 21.

My advice is to get rid of TV and magazines/newspapers that focus on the news. Just look at the headlines if you need to see what is current. Most of the time that is enough as journalism is a dead art that is pure propaganda. The mainstream news is the official ministry of propaganda for the state.

If there are particular TV shows you like then just buy them when they release the seasons or get Netflix, Hulu, etc.

I cannot watch TV without getting noticeably aggravated. It’s like everything on there is gibberish and all I can really hear is “You are a f~~~ing slave, obey and don’t think for yourself.”

Television and consumerism are all based on packaging bulls~~~ and using slick advertising to try and make it look like anything but bulls~~~. Like George Carlin used to say “Red, White and Blue all American Bulls~~~.”

Remove unnecessary stress from your life, even if this means taking time away from MGTOW forums, Youtube channels, etc.

For what it’s worth, I haven’t had cable or whatched broadcast television in forever… not since probably 2003 or so. I did have a television but I mothballed it a while ago and should probably sell it and all the crap that goes with it.

My living room is a couch, chairs a coffee table and some plants. No television, the focus should be on people, not on a television. When I do have company, we play cards and talk and when I’m alone, I read or listen to music. I do have a small speaker system in the living room for that and occasionally will have my iPad out to listen to YouTube videos or old Leykis reruns while I cook.

Given that I don’t use any form of social media and rarely visit any sort of news sites, I’ve essentially cut myself off from popular media completely. If something happens that effects me, I will hear about it from the people around me. And if it doesn’t directly effect me, then why should I give a s~~~?

I’m perfectly happy cooking, cleaning, reading, petting my cat and watching the stars. You might say that, outside of my social interactions, I have a very peaceful and quiet life and I em beyond happy with it. The most traumatic thing that I can imagine is sitting in a waiting room having to watch CNN or daytime talk TV for an hour. I think that would be my definition of hell right about now.

@ Trikops – I’m only just now seeing this post, but let me tell you, I feel the same exact way about the movies you mentioned.

Superman having his butt handed to him by the Faora in “Man of Steel” annoyed me, too.  I liked the movie otherwise, but I was hoping to see him really get back at her.  My mother, who was watching it with me at the theater, seemed to be fine with looking at Henry Cavill’s pecs during the movie, and I believe even remarked (regarding Faora) “who’s this chick in the movie?”  I’m afraid to see what they’ll do with Wonder Woman, as I’ve seen women (feminists and non-feminists alike) BEGGING for that movie to be made, and they’re looking for a specifically female director to make it (same goes with Ms. Marvel, apparently).

The Hobbit’s addition of Tauriel was very unnecessary.  The elves are my favorite Middle Earth race, and they DID portray Thranduil in a pretty cool way (as well as Legolas, though he wasn’t technically needed either), but when it seemed to focus on the Tauriel/Legolas/Kili love-triangle, I couldn’t help but roll my eyes a little.  Heck, even a few of the females I know felt Tauriel wasn’t needed, as they had enough eye candy with all the strong men on screen, and that was good enough for them!

Doctor Who recently resurrected one of my favorite TV villains, The Master, now as a female…calling her The Mistress.  While this is nothing against the actress at all, this is apparently their test to see how well it would be received…as they haven’t dismissed the possibility that The Doctor himself may someday be cast as a woman…which is really upsetting to me!  Can a beloved fictional character NOT stay a male?

Though I haven’t watch The Flash, apparently the Bug-Eyed Bandit was recently announced that it will be a female this time around.  While not a HUGE villain, this is still obnoxious.

I believe the Americanized Sherlock Holmes TV series titled “Elementary” has a female Watson.

What’s funny is a lot of these shows we watch try to “please the female audience”, when it seems like the guys in the movies in fact already do…even though they’re merely eye candy and not deep, meaningful characters.

It’s actually getting difficult to watch even my beloved comic book movies, as I know many of the men starring in the movies and directing them are self-proclaimed feminists…and I normally can’t stand when an actor or any media person talks about that or anything political.

It’s funny, because when it comes to Wonder Woman, I’m seeing a lot of women body-shaming the actress that has been cast as her for the newer upcoming movies.  Wonder Woman’s character really bothers me, but I have nothing against the actress.  Everyone is suddenly up in arms because she’s “too thin.”  Thing is, that actress is also a model.  She’s not “skinny,” she’s “fit.”  She worked hard for that kind of body, and if there’s anything I can say nicely about a woman, it’s that she can take the time out of her way to do something like that…bonus points if she upsets the feminists and the “plus size is best size” white knights (“plus size” actually meaning huge, but they’re too nice to say it).

Regardless of how she looks, I’m sure they’re going to fit her into the films as being the “feminist icon” that she is.  My guess?  She’ll be the one responsible for breaking up the fight between Superman and Batman, not the two settling it how they have in the past (either through Superman’s strength and logic or Batman’s detective-work and…well, logic too).  To be honest, WW isn’t even needed in a movie that’s already introducing a new Batman and still a fairly new Superman.  I think they’re just doing this to 1) rush the Justice League film and 2) appease all the wommenz and white knights that are demanding the women be “represented ASAP.”
