The reason many guys here are attacking you or asking probing questions is because enemies of MGTOW sometimes get in here and present themselves this way hoping to get positive responses from the members in order to make us look like bad guys.

I know that many guys have not been given the opportunity to be good fathers, as you seem to have been, so I will just give you the benefit of the doubt.
Besides, not everyone in MGTOW is a saint for f~~~’s sake.
But if you are a troll plant, we are going to find out.

For what it’s worth, I was 13F for quite a while and served at many levels. I was also a 13R for a few years, so if you want any specific advice or opinions, or if you just want to shoot the s~~~ about artillery. I’m your guy.

Thank you so much for your service and I do appreciate you giving me the benefit of the doubt. I learned about MGTOW.com from The Red Pill Documentary and the Howard Dare videos on youtube, which I watched for quite some time. I researched it further and felt that this was right for me. No, I’m definitely not a saint and I try to be as much of a gentleman as I can, but when someone calls me a deadbeat my blood boils because I gave it all I had and the system destroyed me. I didn’t realize for a minute that people came on here just to infiltrate. I reacted the way I did because I have been wanting to interact with other men who share my experiences in some way because I got attacked whenever I let my feelings be known. So, when one guy, in particular, started giving me the business, I felt dismayed and my first instinct was to fight. Thank you for reaching out and I appreciate your candor. It would be great to shoot the breeze about artillery sometime. I could use all the insights I can get! I begin RSP in February…without having my orders in hand yet, and taking into account that RSP is typically 4 or 5 months long, I should be shipping to BCT around either May or June. I can only take it one day at a time at this point.

And thanks for explaining everything to me about my problems in the forum. I say things the way I say them because it is how I feel. I am cynical and my thoughts about women these days border on brutal and indifferent. Honestly, I’m not completely healed so I have moments where I cut loose, and I used my intro to do just that…let it all hang out and hold little back. If the guys that gave me a hard time were just trying to feel me out, I understand and feel remorseful. If time is what it takes to prove to them that I am here for genuine reasons, then I will take that time.

There’s a difference between shirking your duties and fighting for the chance to fulfill them. Real men would understand that. It is obvious that you would be a better fit in something like the National Organization for Women, where calling a struggling father a deadbeat is somehow acceptable. Take it easy, take it easy. You cannot expect people to know what you don’t share. Granted you got some abuse in this thread, some of warranted, some of it not, but step outside the situation for a minute and perhaps you can understand why there was confusion with your story, or why some found it contradictory. Consider every angle first before reacting. It’s easier to make the smart decision that way, instead of the rash one.

However blunt Kenobi’s post may have been, his statement is the truth. This is not a movement. It may appear that way because more and more men are coming to the realization, but MGTOW is a philosophy. It’s a way of thinking, and a way of living. The concept of MGTOW is a conclusion one reaches based on the situation around oneself. Everything else from that point on, is a lifestyle (being monk, pumping and dumping, etc. You get the idea).

As for the earlier post about the trolls, yes. We get infiltrated from time to time. Either from women who insist on being a nuisance, to blue pill men, manginas, white knights, feminists, trolls, gay men coming here to pick up guys, or PUA’s who think we’re somehow about chasing tail and getting laid. So the vast majority of men here are on guard and if something throws up a flag for them, they question it.

Trailboss – You and others who’ve recently posted have given me a great deal of support, far more than I could have expected anywhere else and it means a lot to me. Let’s see, exit 82…If I recall correctly, that’s Seaside Hts isn’t it? I had some friends up there. I grew up off Exit 36 off the Pkwy and Exit 9 off the Expressway…I miss it there, but it’s not quite the way it used to be since Atlantic City died again. If I were to write all the details of going through parental alienation, it would have taken me weeks to compose all of it. Going to visitation and waiting outside for an hour or two, just so she can come to the door and tell me he went to sleep. Scheduling visitation in advance and she changes the date at the last minute, bringing the court order with me and calling the police when she wouldn’t let me in for visitation, just for the police to tell me that they can’t do anything about it and that I have to see the judge. Filing court certifications with my complaints just to have a judge basically tell me to pound sand, and sticking through this garbage for ten years until I finally couldn’t take it anymore…ran out of gas. Being happy is not a choice or a state of mind. Happiness is rather a misnomer that actually means “freedom”…at least that is what it means in my book. Thanks again and keep in touch.

You’ve hit so many nails on the head, here. Masculinity is targeted it seems. Gynocentric society sees a masculine man and they seem to think, “let’s knock this guy down a few pegs”. In the late 90’s when I began high school, it seemed like masculinity was going to make one a target. Women don’t want anything to do with that because they know that a masculine man isn’t going to take any s~~~ off of them.

I communicate and carry myself the way I do because I am a proud product of my father. I grew up in an active duty household. My dad was a 27-year veteran of the USAF (NCO) and an FAA Test Pilot in his civilian career. He always told me to “think as a learned man and speak as a common man”. He was crusty and hard-nosed, and I suppose I grew up emulating him because he was my hero. Honestly, I’m still trying to get used to not having him around anymore…it’s doubtful that I ever will. The custody battle broke his heart badly, too because he really wanted a grandson to do things with. For years I blamed myself that he didn’t get to have that. So I take deadbeat comments very seriously because it is a weak spot for me. Anything contradictory to the honor and integrity my dad instilled is a weak spot.

Perhaps I could have worded my intro a little better but had I done so, I’d probably still be writing the damn thing, lol! Anyways, thank you for your vote of confidence. I won’t let down you or anyone else who has shown me this understanding. Thanks again, and take care.
