Lets not confuse fear, caution, and risk, all three are important ingredients to having good common sense. You think motorcycles stimulate your ability to concentrate? Try learning to FLY!

I just see this as baseless fearmongering.

    You don’t get the fear?

    Then, bring out your dead.

Motorcycle deaths is first and suicides is second in my graduation class.

Perfectly fine functioning body gone in a split second. If your lucky, you don’t survive the impact. But there lots of fun until impact.

    Peace brothers

Man I am right there with you. My “fear” is gone since it was planted in my head.

I don’t think I’ve ever had that fear in the first place. I think I was more scared of what my family my think of me riding a bike more than anything.

And Asia??? Holy f~~~. American streets are liked roped red carpets compared to that chaos.

If I ever lived in Asia, I wouldn’t drive there at all. It’s f~~~ing dangerous for either motor vehicles or motorcyclists.

Comparatively, there is NO EXCUSE for a car “accident” to happen here at all.

    That’s completely true.

Personally, I can’t wait until I get my motorcycle license. I think driving even small commutes would be extremely fun on a motorcycle.

Ha, when I have the time, I’ll actually probably learn to fly as well.

    @MG-Tower

Thank you for posting that video(s) of the runaway tires.

Random flying objects freak me out more than any other aspect of it.

Practice evasive manuvers. On a long wide strait away while your all alone ,
Practice..from the right shoulder, cut across to the yellow line. Hold your line for a minute, then jump back to the right shoulder.
Allways try new techniqus in very shallow increments.
    Be ready when trouble happens!

If you have an absence of fear(like me) you must rely on logic to hold your self back. You must be methotical, practical,to not over cook that corner!

If someone is going to run a red light, and smash into me, I would rather be in a car.

And yeah, I get it, you can look cool and manly on a motorcycle, and a woman will want to ride on back. But more times than not, I see the back riding woman as a fat flabby armed disgusting wilderbeast.

Plus, I like stretching out, coasting on cruise control, and I think I look just as “cool” if not more in a Mercedes Benz.

Thanks for the advice and I’ll definitely apply it when I get my bike.

Whenever I see motorcyclists crash, most of the time, it’s either because they were doing something stupid or it was because other drivers weren’t paying attention.

Before I ever ride, I’ll make sure to know as much as possible safety related in order to minimize the risk of getting into a crash.

A few points I’d like to make.

This is because when you ride a motorcycle, you’re FORCED to be aware of your surroundings every second you’re driving.

No you’re not forced to. You’d think so, but you’d also think people operating a 2000 lb death machine (a car) would be “forced” to be more aware and they aren’t. They text and drive. I will say, that bikers do tend to be more aware of their surroundings, but so are plenty of drivers.

From what I’ve seen, in motorcycle vlogs on Youtube especially, most motorcyclists are some of the safest drivers ever.

True, like I said, they can be very aware of surroundings, but there are also dumb f~~~s that rip wheelies at 200 mph on the freeway with cargo shorts and flip flops. There are plenty of morons on bikes.

I’ve been thinking about getting my motorcycle license and taking classes in a few months, but I don’t think I’ll ever tell my family I did for the main reason they’ll bring up all the fake bulls~~~ on why “motorcycles are dangerous.”

I won’t tell you not to, I have mine and love doing it. But you should ask yourself some questions like are you a genuinely responsible person? Are you prone to peer pressure and doing stupid s~~~ when pushed to it? Nutnfancy did a great video on the subject will link below.

That being said, motorcycles are dangerous. Driving cars is dangerous. Riding in an airplane is dangerous. Cutting your food with a knife is dangerous. But if you go up to someone and tell them you don’t use knives to cut food, don’t ride in cars and don’t fly because it’s dangerous they will look at you like a lunatic. But when it comes to motorcycles, they all freak out. Everything’s dangerous, and there’s this stigma, especially in the US that bikes are just a toy, a hobby, a novelty. Meanwhile, the rest of the f~~~ing world uses them every day just fine and it’s normal.

To me, I don’t like living in a world where everything has to have a safety label on it. Where we all walk on eggshells and be PC. F~~~ that s~~~. Get a bike, but think about it. Keep in mind, women don’t want to see you happy. But if you get a bike, do it because YOU WANT IT, not because YOUR FAMILY DOESN’T WANT YOU TO HAVE IT. Do it for the right reasons. +1 for the topic bro.

Those aren’t the reasons I’ll be riding a motorcycle. F~~~ women. I don’t care for them and I don’t care what if other people see me as “cool.”

I want to ride because I want the experience and get the enjoyment out of riding motorcycles.

This is the thing about life…..

My cousin sat in the same chair every morning before college having breakfast watching the morning news. One day he slept in, went downstairs and a lawnmower blade had flown from across the street , through the window, flew through that chair — AND — the wall.

This guy escaped death by freak luck at least twice.

He was also supposed to go on a road trip that killed my uncle (his father) but he had a cold so he stayed home instead.

… but when he became a dad, his 6 year old daughter died of leukemia.

That alone, was enough to make him wish the lawnmower blade killed him so he wouldn’t have to experience the pain of losing a child.

Motorcycles (or your riding skills) have NOTHING to do with it.
Neither do flying tires or splitting lanes.

Go to the gym, eat right and exercise AND own a motorcycle…..
and you can just as easily slip on a banana peel and break your neck.

    Lights out.

It’s so random you can go mental just trying to accept the reality of it.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

There are some morons on motorcycles as well. I can’t stand it when motorcyclists ride with flip flops and no helmet and are generally f~~~tards are on the road. Those type of bikers are dumbasses.

But you should ask yourself some questions like are you a genuinely responsible person? Are you prone to peer pressure and doing stupid s~~~ when pushed to it? Nutnfancy did a great video on the subject will link below.

I’m never prone to peer pressure. In fact, I’m more of an “anti-social” weirdo more than anything. I’ve always hated it when “peers” try to “pressure” you into s~~~.

As far as being responsible goes, I drive like a old person on the road in my car. I never end up going faster than 40mph on main streets for example and always drive in the slow lane.

But if you go up to someone and tell them you don’t use knives to cut food, don’t ride in cars and don’t fly because it’s dangerous they will look at you like a lunatic. But when it comes to motorcycles, they all freak out.

This was the exact point I was trying to make. They all freak out over motorcycles, yet when it comes to anything else that’s dangerous, they’re always logical about it. But when motorcycles come up, all logic goes out the window and fearmongering comes in.

But if you get a bike, do it because YOU WANT IT, not because YOUR FAMILY DOESN’T WANT YOU TO HAVE IT. Do it for the right reasons. +1 for the topic bro.

I’m definitely getting a bike because I want to. I’m not letting anyone influence my decision over it. I’ve always wanted to ride motorcycles. Specifically, sports bikes. I think they’re pretty cool vehicles.

Thanks for the link to the video, I’ll end up watching it.

    Heres the thing.
Some guys that dont have the b~~~~ to ride give you s~~~ about it ,cause they cant face there own fear.
Like when people say ,why would I jump out of a perfectly good air plane. I just admit I dont have the b~~~~ to do it. You learn not to talk about it in front of our 4 wheel freinds.

That reminds me of Bill Burr’s “what are you a F~~??” video. He theorizes on how shaming from other guys is a slow, daily killer of men. It’s funny, ‘cuz it’s true.

But guys ,to say there not dangerous? Every time you run past that squished animal in the road ,remind yourself, that could be you. Just because your not afraid ,dont mean its not dangerours. One needs to be reallistic.
