Ill typically tip 20% but ive left a note on the receipt “tip, work harder” and tipped nothing lol. It all depends on service. I cant stand enabling lazy c~~~s to continue their poor service habits.

Anonymous3I personally think the concept of the tip is okay. You tip someone if service is exceptional or you want something extra on top of the normal service required. I do think that it’s abused in practice. Some of the users said that a tip is expected when nothing extraordinary occurred. Should I tip just because the waiter or waitress remembered my order? It gets ridiculous when the damn fast food workers want tips as well.
That being said I will usually tip 15% at a restaurant no more or no less. I am very polite even if the service wasn’t that great.
I have seen some restaurants put in hidden charges in the bill on top of what the food costs.

Hidden charges always go to the owner; I should know because I work in a restaurant. Tips are expected because workers are paid very low salaries; and we have to constantly tolerate rude customers (ones who shout at the waiters even though it was the cook’s mistake). Its a pretty s~~~ty job, and with zero motivation to improvize, it gets even harder.

T~~~ for tips!!!

Really depends on the service Id say. Sometimes I have left 0% because they deserved that much, and sometimes I have left as high as 30% because again they deserved that much. Mainly though I try to stay in the 10-20% range as I dont see a reason to pay a lot more unnecessarily yet I dont leave 5% either as that is quite stingy most of the time
I unzip my fly and show ’em the tip! Seriously, usually 15%, if service is good, 10% if it’s mediocre — none if it’s awful — but I’m a skinflint — I don’t eat out at white tablecloth/full service restaurants that much. I don’t tip at all for take-out, unless it’s, say, pizza delivery. Those guys are really underpaid. But I don’t tip at Chipolte, Panera or fast casual restaurants. In fact, there were no tip jars at most of these establishments a few years ago.
Right. I usually tip about 20%. Mostly because I’ve worked in the food service industry and understand how it is. Most people are heavily reliant on tips, and being a uber driver on the side, I do appreciate tips because most don’t. I never have been able to understand tipping at fast food restaurants. They make minimum wage. There should be no tipping. Next they’ll have jars at McDonald’s and Burger King.
A general rule for tipping, or “suggested” tipping, sounds suspiciously like “six months salary for a diamond”.
But, generally, I plan to tip 15%, with a “round up” to make to total a whole dollar amount. But I adjust accordingly, up or down, depending on everything in total.
And I no longer tip the tax. I only tip the actual food cost.
My money is my money and your money is our money.
Anonymous54Waiters make a very small hourly wage.
The tip system is to motivate good service.
I am appauled at the disrespect people I know show to them.
I make eye contact and say please and thank you.
That will usualy get you good service.I leave a big tip.
I usually tip 15-20% for good service. I never add the tip to the bill, I drop the cash in my servers hands, and pay the bill separately.
There was a time in my life when I gave a fuck. Now you have to pay ME for it
10-20% but for pizza delivery, no matter how small the order, 4 bucks minimum. They use their own car, their own gas, risk their own lives, risk getting a police ticket and risk their time in a one-shot deal that may or may not even have a return aside from the 5-6 dollars an hour they earn via wage + the 1-1.50$ for each delivery.
I started pizza delivery as a second job in April. Trying to recover from losing half my assets in divorce and still retire this time next year. Hope to have enough to buy a new truck and good used Airstream for cash. Not all from the delivery job but hopefully around $15,000. I can fill you in on the delivery guy’s job.
The hourly wage while driving is $5.25 and $7.25 for working in the store between deliveries. The flat rate per delivery is $1.10. Most of the tips are $2.00 or $3.00 per delivery. You usually get one or two $5.00 tips per night, rarely will you get $10.00 for a huge order. You usually get one to two $0.00 tippers per night and a couple small round up tips. They will hand you $25.00 for a $24.75 order and tell you to keep the change. I smile and thank them just as much as I do a $10.00 tipper. The store manager tries to get you two or three deliveries per trip but this is dependent on business. Slow days you only get one delivery and are sent home early with after working a couple of hours with $15.00 in tips.
I work from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm or later if needed, longer on the weekend. Tip total per night during the week is usually $35.00 to $50.00 and can be $75.00 to $90.00 on the weekends. I can drive up to 40 miles on a busy night. I’m buying my own gas, paying for insurance and maintenance out of my pocket. Thankfully my car is paid for, bought a 2001 model about three years ago and paid cash. Average total pay per week is about $265.00. This has FICA taxes taken out but I will owe income tax on the amount when I file my return.
You don’t just delivery pizza. If you are not on a delivery you will be working the oven, folding boxes, placing order stickers on the boxes and answering the phone to take orders. At closing you will wash dishes, sweep the floors, stock the drink cooler or take out the garbage/cardboard.
It is a tough job for little pay but your schedule is very flexible. Most stores need drivers badly and will let you set your own schedule.
I ain't got a wife to spend my money, I have to do that all by myself.
I don’t go too many places where tips are an issue.
I used to give over 20% to any waiter just cause I felt bad for all the work they had to do.
Now I’m not so sure…I might give a man something. Not as much, he might be a cuck. And a woman sure as hell won’t get a cent. Ain’t like they can spit in my food after I leave lol
20% adjusted appropriately for really good or bad service.
I don't hate women. I just feel better when they're not around.
Motherf~~~ing Rockmaninoff sounds like Mr Pink from Reservoir Dogs. Goddamn that’s a great movie!!
Agreed^^^ 😀
I tip 10% if I am not happy/satisfied for the service.
I tip 15% if I feel neutral about the service.
I tip 20% for good service.
I tip 25% for blowjob service.General rule for me, 20% only because I know how hard that work is.

10% mediocre service
15% average service
20+% exceptional serviceOne of the dumbest debates ever is about tipping.
I don’t if the person was a jerk or sub par. If they did their job or exceeded expectations I do. But not a lot… typically around 10%. You choose to work in a tipped position, you get what you get.
I’ve been blessed and won’t miss a little extra so I tip 20 percent. Makes the math easier too. My favorite thing to do at Christmas is to go to a casual diner and leave $100 bill for a tip. Then try to get in position to see her pick it up.
I can afford it and it’s fun.
It’s a hard job and all work has dignity.

I tip good unless she rounds the bill in her favor and keeps my change. Then whatever she took is her tip.

Very hard core. Lots of respect for you sir. That’s the kind of attitude to succeed……at anything.
I’m looking at full time RVing myself. I’ve got some things to straighten out and I might try it, before I commit to get rid of most my possessions. So often times it happens that we live our lives in chains and we never even know we have the key. Eagles
