Sometimes people arent really looking for a solution.

Thats when I no longer care.

I would normally move along without comment as I don’t think anything I say would help very many people, not because I believe that I have nothing of any value to offer, but because an increasing number of people only want to talk and not listen, but this is one of the few times I felt led to do or say something.

    Very nice of you.

    But look at his responces.

    Anything said, he rejects.

I dont bother with people that do that.

I understand what you are saying. There was at least one other member I can recall that seemed to like to post “Oh woe is me” threads and I agree that you’d possibly be wasting your time responding to someone like that.

However, I do not believe Faust to be like one of those people. He may be in such a bad way that he is unable to grasp the line that is being offered to him. The darkness in which he is consumed may be hiding the help that is being offered. It may also be possible that no one has yet offered him the help that is required.

Sometimes, even if we don’t think our help will be accepted, we should still offer it just in case.

The evil in women’s hearts leaves them no moral bounds as to inhibit them from descending to the lowest levels of darkness to acquire their self entitled desires.

……..and I wasn’t trying to be nice. As I said, more and more people just want you to hear them and they don’t give a s~~~ what you have to say, which is why I don’t often try to help anyone. I’m a very good listener and I don’t mind listening to someone, unless they refuse to listen when it’s my time to speak. I absolutely find people who interrupt someone while they are talking to be some of the most useless people there are.

Like I said, I felt led to say something, so I did.

    I treid to offer help.
    He snapped at me.
    He is severly depressed.

And yes, I had the same thought about anothers woe is me posts.

If people want sympathy, they should give the thread an appropiate title.

Like, Woe is me. I need some sympathy.

    I gave him some.
    He still snapped at me.

    Depressed people can be nasty.

I had an ex like that.

    I no longer bother.

Faust, in this vast universe with billions of galaxies what makes you think you’re at the center of it or even relevant to ask such a question? You’re an ant with a conscious who has choices, tribes, tools, and circumstances to circumvent to your advantage.

Reaching out to an imaginary figure created by desert cultists thousands of years ago is not the answer to your problems nor the general solution.

Look within my friend and you’ll discover more than you know. No need to torture yourself mentally on a kingdom that never was and never will be.

We’ve all said what we each felt needed to be said so perhaps now it is just time to let Faust sort it out for himself. There’s a lot that he needs to give some serious consideration.

I also strongly suspect that Faust is currently struggling with some pretty heavy cognitive dissonance too right now. Dealing with that certainly can’t be any fun…

When I was a young Man I endured an enormous amount of loss.
My first girlfreind of 1 afternoon, died in a house fire.
My best freind died in a car fire. The first women I fell in love with died of Cancer. My ” adopted” Mother at the factory died of Cancer.
    All my freinds died.
    All of them.
My local Race hero. My dog.

All in a short period of time.

I used to spend druncken nights at the Cemetery curseing God at the top of my lungs.

Then I learned to just accept it.

To be Strong and Spiritual, and to try and set a good example for others.

The Story of Job has allways given me Streangth.

    That video was totally awesome!

There’s your answer Faust! You’re not SUPPOSE to be able to understand or know why your god is f~~~ing you over! You can now stop all your whining and bitching. Stop trying to figure it all out because it’s ultimately pointless and futile. Just suck it up and assume that your god knows what he’s doing!

(It’s either that or acknowledge reality…it’s your call)

    Faust,

I suggest the story of Lazarus and the Rich Man, found in Luke 16:19-31.

Also, the book of Ecclesiastes. This book in particular helped me tremendously in the aftermath of my wife leaving me, while I was reeling from the despair.

I am very sorry that you are suffering physically. I hope that you can find a way to find some relief.

Don’t listen to Autolite or the other atheists here. They don’t really have any interest in helping you, only in mocking you and using you as a proxy for venting their personal hatred of theism and Christianity. And they disguise it by dressing their attacks in “man up” language. Even if you did abandon your faith and renounce Christianity they wouldn’t care. Again, they’re only interested in ranting against theism for whatever personal reasons they have.

@autolite (and others): If you were really interested in helping Faust, with genuine, heartfelt concern, here’s how you would have done it:

“Hey Faust, may I suggest you consider atheism? It has worked for me and makes a lot of sense in my life in coping with all of the bad things. Maybe it will work for you as well. I hope you find some answers.”

    See?

But you were more interested in just kicking a man while he was down, when he came here asking for help. That’s pretty f~~~ed up. Especially on a MGTOW forum, of all places.

I mentioned on an earlier post that I suspected that you’re dealing with a great deal of cognitive dissonance reference your beliefs. If that is indeed the case*, please don’t feel ashamed or see it as a weakness regarding your faith.

What it is, is the logical side of your brain fighting the emotional side of your brain and it’s completely normal. There’s nothing wrong with that. Many former Theists have dealt with it.

If you have any Atheist friends whom you trust, now might be a good time to have a personal chat with them. Find out from them how they coped when they realized that their god really wasn’t there.

I personally can’t really counsel you on how to deal with cognitive dissonance. I didn’t really have a problem with it myself. For me, losing my belief in a god was no more difficult than losing my belief in the Tooth Fairy or the Easter Bunny…

*(If that’s not the case then just say so and I’ll STFU)

How do you cope when God brings you nothing but misery?

I do not hold any belief in any form of religious God so no God by definition can bring me misery, something non existent can’t do anything to me.

God has denied me health and denied me opportunities, while God rewards all those whom have harmed me.

I am with admitting life sucks and that the mission is getting the best you can out of it (aka the personal missions) but i do not attribute anything to God unless this is just some metaphor, but in the end there is no literal God behind this.

It is a hard thing to accept that free will is a lie and God will damn me to Hell to suffer for all eternity while God also rewards those whom have harmed me with paradise in Heaven for eternity.

The problem here is that God does not evidently exist and nothing about even an existent God would entail damnation or suffering in hellfire for all eternity (aka the first mover God not one that is personal or caring).

Just an east coast asshole who likes to curse, If you get offended by words like fuck, cunt, shit, piss, bitch or any racial slurs then you just scroll down.

    Ad hominem.

If that’s how it’s going to be, fine. Not interested in having an argument. I said my piece, and I’m done.

If you’re going to slam people don’t whine when they slam you back. It was you who set the tone when you attacked my motives for posting.

In any case, I will shut up and go away if Faust tells me that he is absolutely certain that his god exists. I’ve said that a couple of times already on this thread. I’m not here trying to badger someone into Atheism. If there is nothing that I could possibly say to make him realize that his god is imaginary then all he needs to do is to tell me that himself, and I’m gone.

    Fair enough???

I am listening. And I spent twenty years working on solutions for my problems and to try to have some success in my life only to be blocked or denied in someway.

My life is like Sisyphus, pushing a large boulder up a unending hill, in a meaningless unattainable goal designed to waste my life with misery and pain. Eventually, the situation will reach a point I would prefer the boulder to just roll over and end me.

Faust, I am also struggling with a nasty health problem. I have different problems now than I did when I was a child. My childhood was also filled with majority of my time being bedridden and in pain.

The better part of the last decade I have spent in daily agony. Doctors don’t help. No one helps.

Your outlook is pretty similar to mine. I found reassurance that other people had come to the same conclusion that I had many years ago. The Cathars, or Albigensians of the old days. They had correctly deduced that the Abrahamic God was Evil and this world is our HELL.

The Abrahamic God, The DEMIURGE, is a torturer. These Christians, who tell us to be like Job, they have Stockholm Syndrome. They believe that be cowering to their abuser he will show them some mercy.

The Cathars ultimately were hunted down by the Catholics during the Albigensian Crusade. The Cathars had accused the Catholics of being Servants of Evil. The Catholics proved them CORRECT by sadistically massacring all of the Cathars. You can read about it, its all true.

Sadly, you and I are the only people that have ever come to this realization. The God of Christianity, Judaism, Islam is a sadistic Demon that will turn this Earth into an eternal HELL. This Demon is represented by the Tetragrammaton

I am coping with this by a return to traditional European religions. Reincarnation is a part of that belief system. Our struggle to persevere will continue down through the ages. That’s why some call it the Perennial Religion. It has always been here and always will.

    You are not alone.
