What are your guys views on people who use drugs?

    Degenerate and criminal.

As far as criminality, it shouldn’t be. As far as degeneracy, is anyone perfect?

As long as you aren’t hurting anyone else I don’t give a damn. But, if you choose to use be smart and avoid jail time.

This kind of collectivist thinking is exactly what’s wrong with the world today. What distinguishes us is not what is inside of our bodies nor what size, shape or color they are… it is our values that make us distinct and that make some of us better than others.

If one adopts and exercises good values, they are a good person and will tend to experience desirable outcomes in their life’s activities. But if a person believes that we are all equally unremarkable and interchangeable and that values mean nothing then they most likely will not.

Perfect summation of Objectivist reality, as oppose to the Subjectivism (a.k.a Post Modernism) s~~~ we’re living in now where “everything is subjective”, gender doesn’t exist, feelings are facts, basically the ENTIRE FEMINIST LOGIC.

Uh, the rest of his argument was subjective to what he felt was moral and immoral, nothing was objective about it as he felt some drugs were ok even if they did more damage to the individual or society than others he felt were not ok. He felt drinking was ok, but lumped in smoking weed with doing coke and heroin.

You’re demonstrating his point right now. I argue X and you reply “but Y says…”

He has no argument outside of his subjective opinion on morals.

Yet you conceded the “rest” of his argument is based on subjective morals. You’ve contradicted yourself and as I said, just continue proving his point.
