In 2016 we started taking about the “need for a bigger boat” (quoting Tower) and I always wondered if the current site is able to handle such a high member count and traffic.

But since so many mega companies like eBay also use WordPress CMS I knew there would be a solution to upgrade the site to handle millions of users.

But I also know that you can’t outsource a Non-PC forum like this without involving 3rd parties and risking getting doxxed.

And so you have to do this all on your own.

And it takes time and is slower than putting a 25 men team to the task, like Apple or MicroSoft could do.

BTW:

I was locked out but did not create drama. I was busy copying dozens of YT channels and polishing up the files and directories…

But then the rumors began and I became worried about the work we invested here by writing 1000’s of threads and posts.

And saving our writings suddenly became an A-task, keeping me busy.

No windows crawler manages a link depth of 1100 to get to the center of “MGTOW Central”…

In July of 2018, this honey pot forum was sold out to an unidentified NPC sock puppet and troll organization. Most independent thinkers and writers migrated to other MGTOW forums as a result of the never-ending infighting and deliberate trouble starting caused by members who were given "carte blanche" by the admin to do whatever they want. Before my departure, I only left a few thousand cat pics here to comfort and ridicule the feminist owners who now run this place. Their background agenda is to make MGTOW look like a club of losers the public eye. And during the course of 2019, they actually managed to destroy almost all other MGTOW venues as well. It does appear that some regular posters have been lost.

There was a period where I’d lost all hope and I didn’t believe the problem was ever going to be resolved.

I also was affected by the “login weirdness” around the end of June. My only thought was “aw bollocks, I hope the site didn’t get compromised.” After a while I figured it was due to upgrades and whatnot so I let it be and eventually it came back.
All I have to say to Untamed or others of similar opinion is “Don’t sweat the small stuff.” None of us including Keymaster know how long the “powers that be” will allow this site to continue. At the drop of a hat they could take away the domain name for “hate speech”. This site is like a slathering of gravy on mashed taters. Full of awesome but you never quite know when someone will take away the gravy boat.

Hey Untamed, since I first came to this site, I’ve always thought you were a level headed, straight up dude. It looks like you’re gonna’ stick around here and I certainly hope you do. I thought you would not come back and that disappointed me, but I wouldn’t have held it against you. I’m glad you and Keymaster could talk this out.

The hosting company actually watches it 24/7 ….. FOR us.
For more than a year now. And so we don’t have to.

This is one of the things paying members actually pay for. To keep it going on a base level. I don’t want to get into this topic now but the set up is excellent. We’re even planning a 4th upgrade / move before year’s end. We’re probably gonna need it.

About 2-4 weeks ago, we worked with a team to boost the site speed and make the DB more efficient. BIG improvement. But yes it was getting bloated – which was ANOTHER problem. And the error logs filled up …. so I made the declaration the new site has to have NO ERRORS , WARNINGS or NOTICES in the syntax, or we will stay up until the error is removed.

We can always export that and give it to you directly so don’t put yourself through that kind of stress. But the whole site is already backed up in 3 places. Most importantly, we need to maintain high-value discourse in the forums or they won’t BE worth saving.

I find it rather odd that when I’m not personally here ( x – members ) drops a couple of hugely sarcastic threads implying nobody is working our butts off, but when they see the work actually get done, they’re gone.

Trolls have tried to suck my attention away for years. And for a while, they got it. I’m refusing to give it to them. I hope nobody minds especially right now while s~~~s getting done.

Do not organize your life around whether or not mgtow.com is up and running. It’s a privilege to be here and privilege to pay the $5 which is less than peanuts.

Even if this site was down for multiple months/years, I’d still pay the $5 out of sentiment to KM and mgtow as a concept. Im not wealthy either, its jsut that its MGTOW for crying out loud and its only $5.

I don’t get up in the morning and check if MGTOW.com is running properly. If the site is having trouble, find something else to do. No one owes us an explanation or anything. This is not women going their own way.
