    Notes from hell:
I have an undiagnosed intestinal disease. One of the POSSIBLE causes of my uncontrollable diarrhea is the Zoloft I take for depression. Well, I’ve be weaning myself of Zoloft for the last 7 weeks.
Now, the depression is back with a vengeance. I am hanging on by the skin of my teeth. Thoughts of suicide are nearly constant.
I talked with my PCP about it and he said to just hang on, it will pass.
I don’t know yet if the Zoloft is the cause of my diarrhea but according to all I have read, it is about a 30% chance the Zoloft is the cause. So, for better or worse I must stay the course until I know one way or the other.
In the meantime I am in bad shape.

NO but mostly house bound. The only way I can get out of the house is by not eating for 18 hrs.

NO, I can’t do that. They would just lock me up and then I’d be worse off.

Another good thing if you are fealing this way and lonely leave your radio on . Take a shower . If you have incense burn it . Make a morning plan like getting up making yourself a cup of tea .

This is nice to relax to.

    Very relaxing this one

Not in Thailand any more. I am currently living in Tijuana. I had to leave S.E. Asia because of health issues. Besides, the girls were making me nuts. No matter how well I treated them, it was never enough.

Oh, man. I am WAY , WAY, WAY passed Pepto-Bismol.
It’s not a problem with a crash from the Zoloft, it’s lack of the anti-depressant that has me down.

its a catch 22. If I take the anti-depressant that I already have, then I will never know if they are the ones causing the diarrhea. That’s the whole idea. To try and figure out what the hell is causing the diarrhea.

It takes time for your chemistry to adjust to any changes, you’re in the withdrawal stage, try stimulants like coffee, ginseng, and other natural stimulants. Exorcise is 90% of “stimulation”, it releases endorphins and also has a crash side but the up outweighs the down and goes a long way to curing depression. If you’re not engaged in physical exorcise depression is a guarantee!

I hope you find your way out of this storm and I’ll say a prayer for you.

    ummm how about lactose intolerance?

or sit quietly, and ask yourself out loud what is the problem, and just wait for the answer. let the subconscious speak.

MY G.I. drs said there are literally thousands of things that can cause my bowel problems. If, I have IBS-D, it is incurable

I would say it is probably the pharmaceuticals.

    Continue weening yourself off.

Short walks to start with then longer exercise is good for depression and taking the edge of withdrawal symptoms.

It always helps if it is a nice sunny day.

Make sure you do the small things -make your bed, wash dishes-keep your house cleen.

Wait? Do you have a intestinal biopsy?

Have docs ruled out, chron or other gastrointestinal inflammatory deseases?

Have you tried treatment with mesalazine?

Why are you depressed? There must be a reason right? Why do you think of killing yourselve?

To those following me, be careful, I just farted. Men those beans are killers.

Not to bombard you with questions, but have you tried any anti-depressants besides Zoloft? Even if they don’t work as well, there should be some that have no risk of causing stomach issues.

And I don’t know if this works for you, but I’ve learned to recognize the difference between how depression feels and how sadness feels. Knowing that I’m depressed gives me a little bit of comfort because I did nothing wrong, there is no guilt and no shame in it. I don’t need to rectify some external problem or receive any punishment for it. That gives me some comfort, not sure if the same would work for you.

    Ok. Then do it.

I forgot to ask a very important question and a key to understanding.

Do you consume alcohol? If so, try abolishing that from your chemical medicine chest. That goes for anyone!
