watched this last night and loved it. Was never a fan of the original but thought I would give the sequel a chance

it is a real slow burner of a film but the setting and atmosphere are second to none. The story is fairly wafer thin but the whole thing feels like proper sci-fi with no tiresome feminist politics in it. The film makes you think as everything has more than one layer to it which makes a change from the usual popcorn films that are churned out now (not that I watch many modern films)

will go back and watch the original again as maybe I might appreciate it more (plus there are short animes on the sequel dvd so have them to watch too)

Agreed. Enjoyed it too. Visually spectacular. Listened to the soundtrack in the Car. Hans Zimmer is probably my favorite composer.

    I hate f~~~ing remakes.
They can’t think up a new story or what!? They always have to s~~~ on someone’s work, they can’t come up with something original to save their miserable f~~~ing lives and they got no b~~~~ to innovate, all they can do is copy and they can’t even get it right, like Total Recall Remake, what a fiasco, what a piece of s~~~ flick.
Don’t tell me the last Total Recall is a good movie too!?
What was wrong with the original 12 Angry Men? NOTHING
Go to Wikipedia and find the Hollywood lists of remakes, it’s shameful. It looks like the Libtards’ efforts at rewriting history Hollywierd style, it stinks!

The original Blade Runner is one of my favorite flicks ever. It’s dark and introspective with some violence here and there. Love the music and visuals. A masterpiece.

I haven’t watched the new one yet, but want to.

Unlike The Last Jedi, which was a “f~~~ you” to Star Wars fans.

Blade Runner 2049 was made as a love letter to the original Blade Runner movie and Blade Runner fans. While one can consider the Blade Runner 2049 film good or bad, one has to admit the careful attention to detail this film has in attempt to make a good sequel.

The acting, direction, and music were good.

The special effect were great, with a lot of old school modeling put in. Look at the behind the scenes films. I hope they did not tear down those model cityscapes, they were awesome and would be great in using for drone racing.

Script was brilliant in that instead of trying to answer if Rick is a Replicant or not, this film asks a whole different question that fans did not even think about, but should of. And this question is a call back to a concept was originally in the Blade Runner film and dropped. The question was in one of the delete scenes released in the Blade Runner collector edition, the dialogue scene in the car at the end of an alternate ending where Rachael makes a comment to Rick.

Most of the fans of the original Blade Runner film agree the Blade Runner 2049 film is a worthy successor to the original Blade Runner film.

The exception are those Blade Runner fans whom are against the idea of a Blade Runner sequel.

While Blade Runner 2049 did not do great at the box office, the film has the same magic as the original Blade Runner movie and Blade Runner 2049 will likely become a cult classic that is watching and enjoy for decades to come.

I agree, a classic. Certainly in my top 10 of all-time.

THIS MOVIE was the REASON I got a 5.1 system. And Why I love Video so much. I actually got the laserDisc copy and sold all of it.

What was Truly amazing is the original film was right. The best kind of women you can ever get is a replicant.

Besides, that the visuals of the film were STUNNING! And of course the ending.

That ending, must have been the best performance ever at the end of a movie.

It just brought you closer to humanity than anything else could ever do.

You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home

Thought someone here may like the piece I did about a day at the Mall in which I broke down and actually paid to see a movie for only about the fifth time in the last decade or so, and it was Blade Runner 2049.

A day inside the mind of THX.

I loved the original Blade Runner. Blade Runner 2049 was a great film. Quite a bit different than the original. Slow paced, but very intriguing. It poses questions and challenges the audience, which is rare for films nowadays.

Ok, just watched it and it was pretty damn good. They did a great job with creating the atmosphere of the original. I won’t spoil anything for those who haven’t watched it, but if you liked the original, I think you’ll like the sequel.
