Walking through the mall I see children on leashes, poor people spending 75 bucks on hoodies that cost three dollars to make, and mannequins, mannequins everywhere.

The female mannequins are all taller than me, they must be mostly near six foot or taller, and many are on their toes. I start taking notice of them all. There are some big girl mannequins as well, they are indeed beastly and imposing. The male mannequins? All extremely athletic looking. Six foot two to six foot six… Why so tall? Are all of these mannequins designed to make everyone feel insignificant, insignificant to the point that maybe, just maybe, they will go buy something to fill the place where their significance should be? There goes my mind again, never looking at the surface, always what’s underneath. Some say I am blessed with a high IQ, but, I am way past smart enough to know it’s a curse. Nothing is as advertised, nothing is just it’s surface to me. Layers, always layers and connections, no matter how indirect they are, they are always there, and my mind is always looking, trying to see them all. I have seen things you people wouldn’t believe.

Hunger, mall food, rugrats everywhere. Some are cute, some are brats, their caretakers are all overweight, just as they will all be one day. As I sit and eat my favorite food, as far as what’s available in a mall, I watch people, as I always do. They are mostly simple on the outside, most seem insecure, some afraid, very few are confident, many defeated. The human condition is mostly sad and full of fear, I see it all, even when it is underneath the surface. Most people are kind though, how much of that kindness is due to fear? Tough to gauge really, but they all live in fear, they are all slaves. Their fear is hidden like tears in the rain, but I, somehow, can see tears in the rain.

Full belly, and off to see a movie now. I haven’t been inside a theatre in about a decade, no s~~~. I have been on a near full boycott of Hollywood for quite some time now, but I broke my fast today and decided to see Blade Runner 2049. I purposely saw it in the middle of the day on a weekday as to ensure the least possible amount of stupid inside of the theater with me for I had not brought my .45 as Frank did in God Bless America.

It turns out only one other dude was there, and we happened to pick seats one spot apart from each other. I had no idea that is how it worked now days, picking seats that is before you go in, totally new to me. This guy, turns out he was the same exact age as me, had just been through a divorce, and had a free day like I did to go see Blade Runner 2049, both of us there because the original Blade Runner movie was such a big deal to us as kids. We had time to talk as we were a bit early. Women, we talk about women. I lead him and let him go, he ends up sounding like one of us. All he sees around him is big ladies, ladies with kids, ladies with kids from multiple fathers… I laugh and tell him yea, I am pretty much over it, f~~~ it all, if something falls in my lap, ok, maybe I take it, but only briefly, always looking for the exit. He laughs, he clearly gets it.

The movie? It was good, better than I thought it was going to be, but the original kicked it’s ass. Something has been lost about movies of the 70’s and early 80’s. There was a darkness that got into some of those movies that can never be recreated it seems, no matter how hard they try. Maybe because these same assholes are busy blowing smoke up our asses six ways to Sunday most of the time, and what they lost can never be found again. Joe’s death, although an homage to Roy’s death from the original, and it was done well, can’t get close to what is Rutger Hauer’s best work ever in the rain on that rooftop. They tried, but catching lightening in a bottle twice is near impossible. 2049 was worth seeing, but today will likely be the only time I see it, though the original has a few dozen more viewings left in it before it is time to die.

    THX,

    great post!

We are the few people on this planet who see through it all.

    And it’s not a curse, it’s a gift.

We think that looking beneath the surface makes us “unhappy”…

Just see how unhappy the average Joe and plain Jane is on whom this societal programming actually “works”.

Advertising has made the average person feel miserable in order to sell “pain relief” by making that person “feel better” after “belonging to crowd/group xy” through buying a certain product.

Advertising also has made the average person feel like an “outcast by default” (triggering the inner human fear of loneliness). Then that person MUST buy “product xy” to belong to the group of “product xy fans/enthusiasts/support group”.

The average person never feels to be alive until he buys something.

What we feel is a sadness about what’s going on and it makes us kind-of bitter seeing so few of us actually realizing it all.

In July of 2018, this honey pot forum was sold out to an unidentified NPC sock puppet and troll organization. Most independent thinkers and writers migrated to other MGTOW forums as a result of the never-ending infighting and deliberate trouble starting caused by members who were given "carte blanche" by the admin to do whatever they want. Before my departure, I only left a few thousand cat pics here to comfort and ridicule the feminist owners who now run this place. Their background agenda is to make MGTOW look like a club of losers the public eye. And during the course of 2019, they actually managed to destroy almost all other MGTOW venues as well. Here is the truth about "theindependentman.org" aka "TIM" which was created as an extended workbench to further divide the community. When you register, they install a spyware Zombie cookie on your browser that does all kinds of things the user does not know of: http://www.filedropper.com/essay-on-the-removal-of-malware-cookies-used-by-tim

Walking around town I often have a feeling of disconnectedness.
It’s like you Can glance at someone and get an impression of their lives.
I rarely want to be the guy in a family.
It always seems to suck the life out of them, but maybe thats me projecting my own bias.
I often muse upon the temporary nature of life.
I look at buildings and wonder about the men who built them. The lives they had and if in some way it was actually better than mine now.
And yeah, people are scared. Well spotted.
the TV keeps them that way

Yes this is true. Strange how … behind kindness, there is often fear, and behind anger, there is usually fear. Fear seems to be the universal feeling. There are many ways we try to block the sensation of relentless fear, In my country (U.S) it seems to be drugs and alcohol.

Great post, Joe. (can I still call you Joe ?) Thanks for taking the time to type it all.

It is indeed a curse. We can never unsee what was behind the curtain.

But if you could unsee it, would you want to ? (I’m thinking of Cypher in the Matrix).

I relate to the layers OP has mentioned.

People are not only scared. They are miserable. Stuck in a system that they cannot easily out think or escape.

The best films were from 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. After that it’s slim pickings.

The marvel franchise is such a total joke.

I was watching Spider-Man Homecoming. Flash Gordon is a Indian guy. Mary Jane Watson or the blonder chic can’t remember her name Gwen something. Spidey’s other love interest is played by a half white/black chic.

I don’t take issue with race. I take issue with how the Left tries to retell stories that had specific characters well in place.

I wonder how other ethnic groups would feel if white people started playing in Bollywood films. Or perhaps we could re-write Shaft as a white guy. Why not? Gotta keep things equal right?

I haven’t been in a theater since around 2006. Blade Runner 2049 looks cool. Although I would agree that nothing tops the original. Or rarely at least.

Let’s see how they manage to ruin Star Wars VIII The Last Jedi with more PC feminist bulls~~~.

    Very good post.

they are all slaves. Their fear is hidden like tears in the rain, but I, somehow, can see tears in the rain.

That is deep brother. I have had the same feeling where I look around at the masses and can just see the stress flowing through them. It is like a higher state of awareness that allows me to see the fear. Or the “tears in the rain.” Once you reach a certain level of self awareness other people become easy to read.

Truly it is a curse. The unending need to analyze and ferret out the truth and meanings. When I was a kid, my favorite pursuit was to wait in airports and people watch (dad was an airline pilot and we flew subject to load). It fascinated me and also dejected me at the same time. It revealed too much about people. Most of it sad and depressing. Knowing what I know about people, why did I get married 4 times? Desperately thirsty. It turned out that I was the saddest of all. Lurkers take heed.

For in much wisdom is much grief, and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.

Yes, everyone here can call me Joe if they like. THX 1138 is how government/society makes me feel, you guys are friends though, you can call me Joe.

And unsee it all? Some days I wish I were a blue pill 16 year old again, but it is a thought I dare not waste much time dwelling on as you can never go back, you can never unlearn something.

I took some of Roy’s monologue and inserted it throughout the post in varying forms, some may not have noticed or watched the link. It happened to work out really well.

Not the right time to see the new movie. I did however back in 2007 had a great time seeing the

Blade Runner The Final Cut (2007).

when it came out here in Portland with my old pals. I think they even offered beer at the theatre!

Funny, I don’t remember much of the movie.. All I remember was my freinds all showing up, hardly anything of the movie. But I think they have beer and wine at the theater. The night is a blur. 🙂

I wanted to go see it with my kids…But well… You know…

Some of the art of the movie was amazing:

You’ve described the perfect suburban nightmare of consumerism and slavery.

On a positive note, though, my theatre serves beer whilst you watch the film.

I loved Blade Runner and would not see the remake for fear of tainting my member berries of the first one.

A movie that is heads and shoulders above Blade Runner, ironically, is THX1138 in my opinion.

THX1138 was up there with 1984 and other futuristic representations that touch on the human condition planned from conception by unseen manufactures of forced conformity for the best of all.

THX1138 is one of my favorite top ten movies I have ever seen.

    Beautiful post, Joe.

Nobody ever said the red pill was sweet. I have always hated the air in the mall – and the insane motion of all the people. Sensory overload, and none of the feelings good. Makes me think of this:

“The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation. What is called resignation is confirmed desperation. From the desperate city you go into the desperate country, and have to console yourself with the bravery of minks and muskrats. A stereotyped but unconscious despair is concealed even under what are called the games and amusements of mankind. There is no play in them, for this comes after work. But it is a characteristic of wisdom not to do desperate things..”

    ― Henry David Thoreau
