I’m in the middle of helping an old female friend of mine move out out her place, along with the help of a mutual friend of ours. The friend moving agreed to pay me if I help her out.

If anyone remember my older posts, the other friend of mine is the one I took out to dinner a few weeks back, and is considered “asexual” (which we all know means “I’m not asexual, I just don’t want you.”).

Friend #2 here was just admitted to the psych ward the other day for attempting suicide by overdosing. I, as well as her parents, went to go visit her Saturday evening. It went okay, at best.

Fast forward to today, while she and I are helping friend #1 move. Friend #2 brings up how her mother said she couldn’t tell who I had a “crush” on out of the two of them. She said that she and friend #1 agreed to “friend zone me together” to her mother. They both laughed and I simply shrugged, not really caring.

I’m then told that I won’t get paid that much to help friend #1 move…we’re talking $10.00 now. This is after I’ve already taken a load of her stuff to storage, ONE HOUR AWAY. I’m sorry, my car gets 17 MPG, that isn’t going to cut it. I’m doing the driving AND the heavy lifting.  I’ve stopped helping them out since they seem to have a good time talking about how I’m below their social caste to consider me attractive, and the girl giving me $10.00 when she has over $500 (I asked her about that, she says it’s “her car savings and in case of emergency.”)

Funny how I’m having to sacrifice my time, energy, and even MY money to be out here, yet trying to help her move out within the week because her father (who was a pretty awesome guy) passed away last month…that seems like an emergency to me.

I say my reasoning for doing this was literally only the desperation for money, honestly. Hearing the constant bickering and gossip is literally getting too much to bear now. I’m honestly waiting for the mere ten bucks (it was planned to be over $200, which is why I took up on this in the first place), because I’m NOT doing this for free.

This was obviously a terrible idea. I thought this all day and I think my financial situation HAS made me out of my mind. I don’t like it anymore than anyone else on here does.  The only reason I have done anything for anyone was if I was getting something self-beneficial out of it as well, anyway.

Forgive my vent on their conversations, it’s just bringing back horrible memories for me and I don’t trust talking about this to any soul I know in person. The men I know are a lot worse off than I am when it comes to females. I RARELY communicate with any of them, this was only an exception as I was kind of close to the deceased father and I looked up to him in many ways.

Asexual girl only came in the picture not even an hour ago to help out as well. I haven’t spoken to her much at all. I’ve been quite separate as soon as she came in the picture, too.

@Keymaster- I’m currently working on writing that paper now.

In all honesty though, my greatest weakness and problem to overcome is guilt tripping and/or sympathy. My entire life, I was raised harshly to be there for someone ALL the time. I realize now I shouldn’t…but a stupid part of me that feels almost like an emotional parasite still sometimes suckers me in to helping those in need when tragedy occurs (which is quite frequent). I see a potential red pill overdose in need right now.

Consider this a minor mistake, I suppose.

Thankfully I don’t see them as potential mates anymore like I would in my worse days. I’ve gone by the “one chance, per woman, per lifetime” code lately. I’m digging that thought quite a lot, to be honest.

100 years ago, that would have been a good deal, because $10 in 1915 would be more like $200 today. But that is definitely not doing it the MGTOW way. You’re being a DOORMAT, when what you should really be doing is telling the bitch to f~~~ off. She can go rent a f~~~ing U-Haul and do it all herself. Instead, you’re being the “nice guy” who will probably burn through 40 bucks of gasoline doing her favors and errands and just for a measly 10 bucks. Hell, you might not get any money at all from her end of the deal. Just a “you’re a good friend. Now back in the friend-zone you go until I need to exploit you for something else.”

Makes me lucky that women don’t call me BEGGING for anything.  I don’t have a truck. Hell, I don’t even have a car, so I’m invisible to these bitches and I’m the last guy they’d ever want a favor from.

At this point, after being mislead on how much I was getting (VERY likely that was intentional on her behalf), she’s gonna be REQUIRED not even half payment upfront, but FULL…that is, if I EVER do this again for ANYONE besides my closest male friends.

They don’t know s~~~ about saving or investing. My sister makes DOUBLE my salary, for example, but she couldn’t ever had a dollar to her name when I would pay all my bills and still manage to save over $2500 in 5 months on a RETAIL salary just to go on a vacation.

Relapse is the perfect word to describe it. I was feeling iffy and annoyed by it from the get-go, but I felt like I was doing this more in remembrance for her dad than anything, if by a moral standpoint. I got a call for a position within the university I work at that would be a promotion..interview set for Wednesday. Lord help me indeed, @doc Fenderson. If I get this, I’ll be much better off.

You can always help male friends move because when the time comes they will help you move.  That’s how we know they are friends.  And men.  You cannot expect the same from women.  Ever.  So demand cash payment in full up front.  Always.  With a 50¢ per mile fuel surcharge.

Another good reply is: “What’s in it for me?”

A simple refusal only lets her know she isn’t getting what she wants from you with no explanation as to why, leaving her to make up all sorts of self serving reasons in her head.  Asking her how she intends to make it worth your while lets her know she’s not getting what she wants because she is not worth it to you.  And you never know, she might just make it worth your while.  Never take s~~~ from women, but there’s nothing inherently wrong with taking their money.
