If I may throw my 2 cents…
One of the most manly traits that drives women crazy is when he is “confidently detached”.
A happy, self-confident, self-validating guy, that does not NEED women is a magnet to those little heads.
It’s like kids, they want the most what they can’t have.
Another thing they cant have for thenselves is happiness, confidance and validation. Must be why they are attracted to it, only to destroy every trace of these things in the man they catch.

ABSOLUTELY downright stalkerish. One actually flew across the country to “surprise” me at work clear across the country. She booked a hotel and everything… and pretended like she was “oh just on vacation”.

I had a new girlfriend at the time too…. and this girl shows up like she was my girlfriend. Never even dated or slept together! Most awkward creepy s~~~.

She even bought me a WAY expensive gift and expected me to entertain her and go out while she was in town.

Didn’t have anything like this but my familial social circle knows that I am one of the rare exceptions of finding myself in a relatively better financial position than what I was in 2010 (Pre crisis era for those who don’t follow Greek news) and this has been the source for some amusement.

There have already been a handful of instances of women my age and younger introducing themselves to me through this familial social circle, which is extended. One was stupid enough to let me in on the fact that I am certainly going to inherit a house from my grandparents (like I needed someone else to know that); it was obvious that the 2nd cousin who introduced her to me had talked but damn if it wasn’t creepy from her to let out that she knew such stuff already. After that I remembered how some of the others also seemed to know stuff about me, as if they had done their homework and tried to sell themselves as best as they could to me.

Thankfully the family seem to have gotten the hint that I am not looking to marry now and this has stopped the past few months but I know that the horde will be back later for its pound of flesh.

The worse part is that I cannot actually talk myself out of marriage from my immediate family because the Greek divorce system is surprisingly just and the Greek divorce rates aren’t anywhere near as bad as the rest of the world. The above combination is probably the reason as to why MGTOW mentality is an oddity here.

I’m not being chased (thank God).
I think I’ve become invisible.
This took some planning.
I really don’t like being around gold diggers.
Away from the office I drive a wreck of a car and dress casually. Not only am I more comfortable, but I’m saving a fortune.
I still have attractive lady friends, but they aren’t pursuing me.

I think Phoenix is absolutely correct in both of his posts. I will add that my experience is like what Keymaster describes. The only time women “chase” me is AFTER I break up with them. During the relations~~~, it’s impossible to hear a nice word or any consistent message of actual interest. How incredibly short-sighted of these women! Why wait until after it’s over, when it’s too late?

Believe me, it gets worse as you get older.

From roughly their mid-40s on, women simply reek of desperation and you won’t believe the s~~~ they try.

Ever wonder why women love cats so much? It’s because just like cats they are attracted to shiny things, this is why the average woman will walk right past the man who has a good job and is well spoken and even treat her right because he is sitting there quietly in his plain clothes reading the newspaper that the cafe provides for free.

And she will walk past me to get to the guy that even I think is a macho dickhead who has the flash car that he can’t afford and is still living with mommy and has probably impregnated a few women by now, is on some sort of drug and will pump and dump her faster than you can say “women are f~~~ing stupid”.

So no, I don’t really get chased by women, I can do alright when I feel like it which is rare but even then I tend to be a little slow in picking up that she likes me, I end up walking half a block before I realize that, that look she gave me as we said goodbye was her wanting to know if I would ask her out.
