Key Master, I owe my understanding of it to. He set me straight. I pleaded for a clear declaration of celibacy. But rules and oaths go against the very point of mgtow. We cant do that. Besides, a perfect non-committal, uncalled for, knock on the door, free safe sex, never see her again, on vacation, no way to find her…an accidental perfect sexual encounter can happen and probably does.

An oath of celibacy is crazy. Monks are celibate by default, by happenchance of just doing their own thing and sex never occurring. But if the perfect situation happens and you get some, that is different from banging chicks from the local bar, or the girl across the hall, or writing love notes to them and trying to get laid.

There is a difference between landing on a perfect free safe sex opportunity and being a PUA soliciting women for sex.

Like I said in a previous post, if you haven’t learned how to control the fire, then you’ll probably get burned, so you should stay away. The “fire” can be women or your emotions, or both. I can have sex without all the emotions. I don’t have to care about the woman with whom I’m having sex. It’s just sex and most of the time, the women I’m having sex with feel the same way. We hang around together, have some fun and part ways. Maybe we meet up again some other time, maybe we don’t.

I don’t need the fire, (women), but sometimes it’s nice to sit by the fire and be warm. The flames are nice to look at. The smoke smells good. I know how close I can get and not burn myself. I know how to keep the fire in control.

Then, after the fire dies down, it’s nice to put it behind me and go back to my life without it.

IMO most of the argument sparks from people who thinks TOW is worthwhile for others too. There might be name-calling involve but at the end of the day they only do it because they are looking out for your best interest.

As for myself, I see this merely as thickskin & NFG practice. Hence, I don’t usually chime in on “hot” topics. This one is exceptionally civil.
