Can the mute retard stop posting mindless memes it makes it more dufficult get to discussion posts.

Just try not to p~~~ him off! Remember that we want this kinda s~~~ from the Theists! Exposing their mindset for all to see is partly the purpose of these types of discussions. Redpillbible makes a better case for Atheism than you or I ever could. We couldn’t possibly pay somebody enough to be that infantile! KEEP’EM COMING!!!

Again, Atheism is a religion. Making a claim that there is no god, it’s the same as making a claim that there is a god. It’s making a claim based on blind faith. There’s plenty of evidence that something is going on. There’s that thing about how when people looked at what was going on in string theory or quantum physics that it came back as “computer code”.

The other thing I have to say. Autolite, you are a perfect example of religious zeal. Like I’d have to say Atheist that I have met are probably more zealous at pushing their “religion” than the “Have you accepted Jesus as your lord and savior” types I meet at gas stations and the library.

To me, it’s all the same thing…

The only thing I don’t get is why?????? Like the born agains, they seemingly believe that someone is going to go to hell if they don’t believe…. So I can kind of justify there shameless promotion, in that, maybe they are legitimately trying to protect people? But the Atheist???? Why? I don’t get it. Why do they care so much Autolite? What’s the deal. Like why do you feel compelled to correct people and share your perspective? What’s the point in on all it? What’s your motivation? How do you have the energy?

If you had the same amount of energy and motivation towards making money, I’m sure you’d be a billionaire in like 10-15 years.

    Good point.

Part of me wants to help it grow into a thoughtful rational individual that takes personal responsibility for it’s actions tho.

    Maybe I’m too optimistic.

    Again, no it’s not.

Not holding a belief is not a religion just like not playing football is not a sport.

Making a claim that there is no god, it’s the same as making a claim that there is a god.

Atheist do not hold a belief that a god/s exist. That is not a claim that god/s do not exist.

The second bit is retarded. A and not A are not even the “same” thing. How blatantly wrong and illogical that is, dafuq???

It’s making a claim based on blind faith

No its rejecting a claim (made by theists that a god exists) based on lack of evidence.

There’s plenty of evidence that something is going on.

Oh s~~~, this is brilliant, “something is going on”. You look at the universe of things and conclude ” something is going on”.

Oh my f~~~, its a laugh a minute.

Dogs f~~~ in the street, something is going on, therefore Hebrew God spoke and created the universe with words, smited the s~~~ out of everyone ever since and leaves no trace other than collections of copies of copies of fragments of writings of primitive desert goat herders.

It seems that you’re mistaking my sincere disgust for the propagation of bulls~~~ for “religious zeal”.

In any case, you didn’t answer my previous question. I claim that the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus do not actually exist. I claim (with reasonable certainty) that they are imaginary man-made fabrications.

Do you regard my claim as a “religion”???

OK, so let me get this right.

“Atheist do not hold a belief that a god/s exist. That is not a claim there no god/s exist.”

You are not making a claim that god does not exist? So you do not hold a belief that god/s exist? So does that mean that you are open to the idea that god does exist???? You just don’t believe it.

It’s like “Yeah, maybe god exist, it’s possible, but I doubt it?”

    That’s Agnostic??? Right?

Agnostic: a person who believes that nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God or of anything beyond material phenomena; a person who claims neither faith nor disbelief in God.

Hoorah, post after post I have been saying that. The wall is cracking.

YES, YES YES, that is the atheist position by definition.

F~~~ that was a lot of work. I even said that same thing directly and in detail and just now the penny drops.

    Bravo.

I claim that the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus do not actually exist. I claim (with reasonable certainty) that they are imaginary man-made fabrications.

Well I just looked this up. Seems there is a lot of confusion on what actually defines religion. I would suggest religion is defined as one’s belief of the nature of reality. So if one believes in the Big Bang, then that, in my eyes, constitutes a religious beliefs. Something based on blind faith in terms of the “fundamental” nature of reality and it’s creation.

So the big bang, in my eyes, is a religion. However, it appears that there are many definitions of religion and no one really knows how to fully define the word “religion”.

On your beliefs about the easter bunny and santa clause. Being that this has nothing to do with the “fundamental” nature of reality and it’s creation. I would say, no, this claim does not constitute religion. Santa Clause and the Easter bunny have nothing to do with the “fundamental” nature of reality, the foundation if you will, or it’s creation. So no, I would say that has nothing to do with religion.

Big Bang, yeah, that’s a religious belief. It’s an idea, based on blind faith, of how the world came into being. That’s religion, at least in my eyes and according to my definition.

I won’t speak for all Atheists, but this Atheist claims with ‘reasonable’ certainty that there is no god. I use the term ‘reasonable’ certainty not because I feel that there might be a god but rather it is more appropriate than claiming absolute certainty. ‘Absolute’ certainty is an intangible. I won’t claim to be absolutely certain that we’re not all part of a ‘Matrix’ like computer generated universe, but I’m reasonably certain that we’re not.

Dawkins offers an explanation that might help you understand…

That’s not the same thing is an Atheist… They are not the same thing.

But yes, 2 minutes on looking at the meaning of words you could have got that a long time ago and not wasted everyone’s time.

Other posters even tried to explain that to you.

No offense but you seem slow.

    OOOO MY WORD!!!!

Richard Dawkins is AGNOSTIC!!!! Now it all makes sense. I’m like how the hell did this guy make this so popular. He simply changed the definition of Atheism and now calls being Agnostic, Atheist???

HOLY CRAP!!! IT ALL MAKES SENSE

This guy, woowwww, this guy is just a bad is these television evangelist/false prophets. He’s gone around, changed the definition, made a controversial word to create controversy, then the people who listen to him, he gives a new definition to Atheisism which is what Agnostic actually is, which no one can argue with an Agnostic. Then getting all these Agnostic people, which even a lot of people going to church are agnostic, they just go for the community and pretend. There’s load of people who are agnostic in the world.

Wow. This guy is a total MARKETING GENIUS!!! No wonder he got rich!

    Here dude in my own words. Please make some effort. You seem desperate. Its not that hard;

    Atheism is about belief.

    Agnosticism is about knowledge.

You can be an agnostic atheist or an agnostic theist or gnostic or you can be an antitheist or a or a deist or a pantheist or a an atheist that believes in the supernatural or a whole bunch of other logical posititions.

I personally am an agnostic atheist

Just about to quit on you, you seem unfit to argue with.

Please read my words in my quote above and let me know what you are having trouble with. Stop acting like a child.

    I don’t hold a BELIEF that a god exists – atheist.

I do not KNOW if a god does or doesn’t exist – agnostic.

Therefore I am an agnostic atheist.

Soon as you supply credible evidence a god exists I will change my position to reflect reality.

Santa Clause and the Easter bunny have nothing to do with the “fundamental” nature of reality, the foundation if you will, or it’s creation. So no, I would say that has nothing to do with religion.

Okay, so now we’re finally getting somewhere!

‘God’ is just as non-existent as the Tooth Fairy, The Easter Bunny and Santa Claus. Once you figure that out, you’ll discover that Atheism is most certainty not a religion.

Consider also that (AFAIK) one is ever labeled as an ‘Atheist’ for not believing in the existence of Thor, Zeus, Dionysus, Mithra or all the countless other ‘gods’ that there has ever been. Nor have I once ever heard a disbelief in any of those other gods being referred to as a “religion”. And the Christian god is just as imaginary as all the rest.

Think on it some more and you’ll eventually realize that Atheism is not a religion. Pardon the pun, but I have faith in you… 😀

and gnostic is about knowledge, experiential knowledge. It’s saying, Ok this is my experience, so this is what I believe because it’s based on my experience.

Agnostic is simply saying I don’t know, I don’t even except that my experience is true. Just simply saying, I don’t know. Agnostic: a person who believes that nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God or of anything beyond material phenomena; a person who claims neither faith nor disbelief in God.

Atheist: Is the claim that there is No God. A stongly held conviction/belief that there is NO god, at all, what so ever, no doubt in this claim at all. A firm conviction that there is no God.

Richard Dawkins, according to that video is Agnostic. I don’t know if there is a tea pot, there could be one, but I don’t know that. That’s Agnostic.

OK now ya’ll are just playing word games.

    I can’t go around and say that I’m a christian-Hindu, or a Buddist-Muslim.

    Agnostic-Atheist, that’s a paradox, and oxymoron.

    Gonna add something here.

A = absent, non, away from. in Latin or Greek or whatever, I can’t remember. variant of an-1.before a consonant, meaning “not,” “without”:

    Gnostic means Knowledge.
A- Gnostic, means absent of knowledge. Don’t know, no knowledge on the subject.
A-Theist – away from god, NO god.
    Theist – God
