DYD, don’t know what other jobs you’ve had, but this one sure sounds like a s~~~ job and no need to worry about burning that bridge, eh? I’m sure most of us have had s~~~ jobs. I washed dishes for about a week and a half and didn’t give a s~~~ how I quit that one. I’ve hated most of my jobs and if I’d have stayed at any of them, I wouldn’t have found a better one, right?

I doubt you were making very much money there, were ya’? Yeah, there’s gotta’ be a much better job out there for ya’, even if it’s not what you would ultimately like to be doing.

I understand where you’re coming from when you talk about the music business. Most people never get to live their life doing what they really want to do. I’d love to be an actor, but never realized that till it was too late in life. Besides, I would have never had the b~~~~ to go to the big cities where I’d need to go to even have a chance. Even if I could’ve been an actor, I’d hate that big city life. I’d love to be a scientist, but do you know how much f~~~ing schooling that s~~~ takes?

I don’t know anyone who is completely happy and totally content with their life. I’ve worked this job for 22 years now and it’s the best job I’ve ever had, even if it isn’t my dream job. I had to work a lot of s~~~ jobs before I got this one though.

I’ve learned this…..your job isn’t who you are. For most of us, a job is a means to make money to live in this world the best way we can. I have house payments every month for a very modest house which is definitely nothing fancy, but at least I have a house all to myself and don’t have to share it with anyone else. I have electricity, natural gas and hot and cold running water. I have a fridge full of food and beer and a cabinet full of liquor. I have money left over for a few hobbies of mine.

This is not exactly how I’d like to live my life. I’d love to have enough money to quit my job and live independently without having to work for someone else doing what they tell me to do. However, I am, for the most part, content and happy, finally……which is, pretty damn good.

You, probably would not be happy living the life I have. I have a place that keeps me warm and dry in the winter and cool in the summer, but I have to get up every morning, way earlier than I want to, 5 days a week and go work for someone else so they can make more money than me. This is how I get to keep my house and pay my bills. I don’t think this is what you’re looking to do for the rest of your life.

After babbling on and on, I guess my point is, we all have to do what we believe will make us as happy and content as we can be.

I should probably go back and delete most of this, but f~~~ it. It’s almost time for me to go home to my warm and empty house and drink some cold beer and maybe eat some spaghetti. That makes me happy for now.
