At the end of the day it’s just a crappy job, so what have you lost? A s~~~e job.

I understand some guys here are all about getting the good job, getting the house, saving the money etc etc. I’m not bagging on you for that. So dont f~~~ing bag on me for losing s~~~ jobs after s~~~ jobs when im clearly not DESIGNED for the 9-5 world. Im a f~~~ing artist man and im damn proud of it.

Its going to be a rocky road until i get s small foothold somewhere and go from there.

I hope thats made it easier for you to understand why i have so much difficult holding down a job.

Thanks man. There just isnt a scene anymore. No music scene. I felt the disturbance i nthe force in 2005/2006. It just dwindled and sure enough the recession hit in 2007. I couldn’t believe how right i was.

Since 2007 everything has f~~~ing nosedived into a bubbling ocean of S~~~.

Yeah, same here in USA. My Uncle used to hang out with Iggy Pop back in the 70’s. Those guys made a name and career for themselves off of one little corner of Michigan. Thats how powerful the music scene was back then! Incomparable to nowadays.

Yeh man you can get everything at the click of a button now and not even have to pay for music. THe only money bands make are from merch and live shows now, but only if you’re a well known name. Even then you’ve already made your millions.

Korn for example. Made their mark in the early 90’s and sold 35 million records. They are a bag of s~~~e now but are still selling out shows because they’re a big well known name.

THe market is over saturated with so much s~~~. Quantity over quality.

Alot of musicians bounce band to band.

It is not uncommon to see a studio band, a touring band, a one night band or just this f~~~ing tour band in music as some artists will just go from band to band for their entire career.

Why quit like a drama queen? Sure, it’s funny and cathartic, but all it does is hurt YOU. Dropping s~~~ and damaging the employer’s property? What do you do for job references?

If you’d worked even today’s shift through and then resigned, you’d have more money in your pocket. Quitting one job before you have another, when you don’t have high cash reserves, is irresponsible. And even if you STAYED in the same s~~~ty service job, typically, due to high turnover, you’ll often get promoted to middle mis-management level with higher pay. Then you’ll get to deal with ‘c~~~-stormer’ employees instead of ‘c~~~-stormer’ customers, haha. Is that even a word? I prefer c~~~stomers, a combination of c~~~ + customer. If I worked in the retail industry, I’d tell friends I work in C~~~stomer Service.

It does not matter how intelligent you are. Employers value marketable SKILLS. Some of these are SOFT SKILLS. That means chumming up with the @-holes and being a little brown-noser. And treating the c~~~stomers with RESPECT.

Have you thought about working in the music industry, but NOT in a band? Doing bookings, working for a radio station, doing promotion, advertising, etc, to get a foot in the door where your talents can be noticed and where you can find a band if that’s your passion? Even if it’s just answering the phone, keeping the place cleaned up and doing administrative work?
