Spoke to a “friend” today regarding on how he is doing and all that cobblers.
Mentioned what is going on with this phantom virus, David Icke, 5g, Brexit, Trump election and all the fingers that are connected to the big greedy pie.
His retort, laughter!
I said if you think once the lockdown is lifted, humanity goes back to normal…..this has been planned for YEARS!

It’s some form of hybrid, new math.
No. It is payback.
He is slowly driving insane those whom have falsely accused him for the last four years.I voted for Trump. No regrets.
But never expected his level of having a victim mentality.
Being “falsely accused for the last four years”
I’m sure he has ex-wives and a current wife that have truthfully accused him of infidelity.
He needs to grow the fck up and deal with it. . . .

Mr Spock is correct..welcome to the Great Depression. You just don’t know your in it yet.Nothing will improve unless and until there’s a discovered vaccine that’s verifiable and works and even then it has to be distributed to people. This is likely 2 years away or more. Businesses can’t stand that length of time. Secondary imaging centers will collapse deteriorating the existing non-hospital system. Dr. Fauci is correct that one can always say we should’ve done this and that earlier, but that’s a pointless exercise. What you do now and in the future is what counts and opening things too early means a secondary spike.
I never addressed suicide to Gravel Pit because there’s already huge collateral damage. I’ve never seen or studied a disease that shuts down multi organ failure in the space of an hour while being ventilated with 100% oxygen. No living doctor has seen the 1918 flu, Black Death surmised to be pneumonic plague ( death in 36 hours) or smallpox pneumonia 30% mortality. A New York Intensivist said he’d never seen a PaO2 of zero…didn’t know the pulse oximeter could go that low or the arterial blood gases go that low with 100% oxygen. Lung decompression by causing a pnemothorax on purpose is about the only last step. Never in all my years have I seen total end organ shut down / multi organ failure in the space of an hour! WOW! BAD!
We must consider suicide as collateral damage but also LACK or postponed cancer surgery, cardiac surgery etc. Tumours have to be left in because the hospital so infected a cancer patient is better off at home. Critical brain surgery still on — but everything and I mean bone and breast and colon and lung tumours all have to wait. This is the secondary Covid 19 damage and it’s not small.
Two years of this really drops the cancer survival time and plenty of lives will be lost. It’s actually hard to estimate. The whole subject of testing is being talked about as if people only need one test!! How inaccurate. I’d say health workers in the thick of it need a test EVERY THREE DAYS!!.
Want a coronary stent?..good luck with that! When Covid 19 lowers the O2 level you can get a simultaneous heart attack because of an oxygen starved heart…lovely thought. As if the ICU isn’t busy enough. Ditto for kidney function. Cats carry Covid…even the lions and the tigers have a dry cough. Tiger did test Covid 19 +ve. Not sure about dogs (yet).
Vaccine should’ve been invented for SARS 2004 and it would have been ready by 2006 but it wasn’t a financial go so never developed. What a mistake (in retrospect) Isn’t 20/20 hindsight great. That’s why criticizing Trump a waste of time. It’s too hard to enforce early on.Stay socially isolated. Stay healthy. MGTOW monk mode not so bad after all.
Watch out for the cats ladies!L. Euler

Science does not govern policy. At this point, we know the approximate infection fatality rate… It is only 0.4%, or four times the seasonal flu. This is based on German data from Gangfelt and it is by antibody testing. So we also know what percent of the population was infected there — 15%. And of that 15%, 0.4% died. https://reason.com/2020/04/09/preliminary-german-study-shows-a-covid-19-infection-fatality-rate-of-about-0-4-percent/Total US deaths are at 21,700 or about 1/3 to 1/4th of a bad influenza season to date.Yes, the virus spreads more rapidly than seasonal flu, so the deaths occur in a relatively SHORT period of time. The lockdown GUARANTEES a second wave when it is over. Why? Because you haven’t infected achieved herd immunity. That is also why shutting down the schools was a particularly terribly policy. That is science.Trump is touting the same bulls~~~ about saving lives by slitting the throat of the US economy.
Sweden did is exactly what you touted and applied the “heard mentality”. They have defied the lock down order imposed by similar countries and consequently have a higher rate of infection that neighboring Norway and the UK. Just now they are starting to see a surge in reported cases and deaths. That being said we shall see if they made the right or wrong decision when this is all over.
https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/10/europe/sweden-lockdown-turmp-intl/index.htmlYes, I’m aware of Sweden, it will be interesting to see if they have the spine to maintain the policy when the daily death rate goes up, or, if, like Western leaders, their leaders are spineless and mindless like ours. So far they’ve held the line.
High daily death tolls, will create panic amongst the sheeple there. It’s tragic, don’t get me wrong — but the surge is short — and once the virus has spread, it has fewer hosts and is LESS LIKELY to kill the elderly. That is also why closing the schools especially, was INSANITY — the faster the youth is infected, the closer we are to herd immunity. Only the elderly and immune compromised should shelter in place.
At this point we know the true CFR of all infected, from the German antibody testing and it’s only 0.4%. So the Swedes made the right decision according to the science.
Keep in mind this is a media panic brought on by high speed electronic communication. The virus spreads quickly, but CFR is only four times annual seasonal flu. But high death counts scare sheeple into accepting the restrictions; they do not understand the short duration of the surge in cases. The same response would have occurred in, say, 2017, if all the annual flu deaths occurred in, say, 2 weeks.
Also look at it from a political standpoint. There’s a [perceived] crisis due to high [daily] death tolls (though not a high total death toll). We must do SOMETHING. The lockdown is SOMETHING. Therefore, we must do the lockdown.
This thinking is literally what is governing policy.
And to save face, the country will not be re-opened until there is a new ‘something’. That ‘something’ will likely be some sort of farcical testing, that will make no difference to outcomes, but will supposedly reduce the inevitable second wave CAUSED by the lockdown itself. He11, we don’t even know if the area under the ‘flattened economy’ curve, that is, total deaths, is lower than if we didn’t flatten the curve, and yet are making policy.
Or tracking us with a cellphone app like they do in China. I’m not sure what ‘something’ will be. But it will not be ‘we fu(ked up, get your asses back to work so you can resume paying Tribute to your Emperor, peons’.
“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary.”

Germany has only 1/4 the population of the US; thus taking their fatality number and multiplying by four, is a better comparison to the US (12,000 vs 21,000).
That said, you ALSO need to consider how far along in the epidemic they are vs US, AND that they have done MORE testing than other eurozone countries by far: https://www.statista.com/statistics/1109066/coronavirus-testing-in-europe-by-country/ — thus they’ve identified more cases. 1.3 MM tests with 80 MM population = ~1.6% of population tested. As a result of higher percentage of population tested, their crude CFR is going to be lower, because of all the asymptomatic cases.
In US we’ve tested about 0.7% of population, see https://www.vox.com/2020/4/10/21214218/trump-coronavirus-testing-social-distancing

When is everyone going to admit the facts?
1. Hiding from the virus by way of lockdown doesnt make the boegyman virus disappear. It will be waiting.
2. The nuked economy will result in more suicides over the next two years, than the Virus would have caused if left to run its natural course. So we literally caused MORE deaths, more YOUNGER people dead, AND rekt the economy.
3. The fvcking virus is not the plague. Its a nasty case of pneumonia that kills old people. 98 percent of folks walk away from it in 10 days. So why did we ruin 40 million peoples lives? Oh, because CNN hates Trump and will do anything to undermine the election, ie fake Russian probes and time wasting impeachment hearings.

the people that vote for Trump work, and do actual work, and voted for him because they don’t want socialist fukks who believe they deserve their money more than the people that work hard for it sh1tting on them and legally robbing them. They have actual desirable skills to fix things and be useful. They will fare far better than the moochers and welfare slugs the socialists bribe with other peoples’ money.
There is better news.
What GP is missing is the way the bailout is structured that businesses that shutdown can take loans that if they used solely to pay bills and the salaries of their workers, those loans will be forgiven. In other words the bailout is being used an unemployment checks to employees through businesses. And this can be done for up to 10 weeks.
The two $1200 checks to working U.S. citizens are to pay for their needs before the bailout through businesses kick in for them.

There are large parts of the U.S. that are not really shutdown. Schools, indoor rec areas, and some dine in restaurants are shutdown in those parts of the nation, but the rest of the economies of those outside of the major urban areas are continuing.
Trump Country will likely take a hit but recover. But, the major urban areas are the ones that are going to be the most closed down for the longest and they are going to take some serious hits to their bottom line.
Also, President Trump is making sure the bailout goes to the working class, which is a first for a sitting president.

Personally, I think the $1,200 and other money should have been a LOAN if given out at all. If you want to cash Uncle Sugar’s check, go ahead! But then pay it back in taxes over next 3 years! I am not getting a check. But I think then the Sheeple would have pressured the politicians to open America back up sooner! No free lunches! If governors want to shut down their economies, THEY can deal with the riots, tax their state up the @ss, no federal cash! Trump and Repubs should have said we AREN’T extending unemployment, not greatly increased the benefit. States would have to decide if they would cut their budgets 10 or 25% for that year to pay for extra funemployment benefits or jack taxes up…. haha… that would have been GREAT!!!
Trump and Repubs. should have added ‘ Well, governors aren’t getting any free cash borrowed from future generations. So if you want to shut down your economies, go ahead, that is,if you don’t fear for your safety! Or you can have them VOTE on whether to stab themselves, hahahahahaha’.
Keep in mind, 2017 flu deaths were at 74,900 by CDC’s own figures. And, shockingly, the majority of deaths were among those over 65 with only a small fraction those under 50. https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/2017-2018/archive.htm — right now, we’re at 20,600 deaths. Granted, I wouldn’t be surprised if we exceed 2017, a bad flu year. But did we shut down economy in 2017? Did the sensationalist press present a running count of said deaths?
Sure, the deaths were spread out over a longer time interval in 2017.
Putting a dollar figure on a life may seem crass, but I work in a dangerous industry, it’s always in the back of my mind. How much does it cost to make it safer? How much will it reduce the chance of a serious accident?

If we had real leadership, they would have an intelligent discussion with their citizenry about the value of a human life.
The Media would have a field day with Trump if he literally put a dollar figure on an American citizens life…..

If the A B C s are listening, dont worry about me… its the 40 million people you just f u c k e d over you should be concerned about, specifically all those white boomers with g u n s who you stole their retirement and laidoff their kids jobs. Theyre p i s s e d off right now and that measly 1200 is a joke. You better think of something better to appease them. Im not the one to worry about as you already declared me a felon for driving drunk. I own zero firearms. I dont need one. Ill just pick one up off the sidewalk next to some dead guy …. probably be a lot of chances like that if they dont reopen the country soon. How stupid is Trump to let this keep going on.
Gravel Pit,
Actually the graph is better than my original prediction. We still have a problem getting PPE (personal protective equipment) It’s what’s on the shelf not what’s back ordered that counts. The graph isn’t bad because of isolation. Keep up the good work. We are not Italy that’s good. USA will have high numbers but death curve is always six weeks behind cases curve. Testing and distribution of kits will let us guess what’s in the population. I am careful washing hands etc, but here in Alberta about ten per cent of tested +ve cases are health care workers.Don’t criticize Trump too much because no country has a perfect testing model and one can always say ‘you should’ve done more earlier’. It’s a useless argument.
Make a supply of ventilators and ten million masks and tents for rapid “hospitals” to attach to the hospital parking lot. Store them even after the pandemic. There will be a second spike. Now that’s useful spending of tax dollars. You will need it in the coming decade. The virus does what it wants, unfortunately not what Trump wants. The virus also does not promise to mutate slightly although that hasn’t happened. (yet)America is soooo…. obsessed with skin color…WOW. What I want to know as a doctor is what percent of those black people had hypertension and were on ACE inhibitors? Does this drug worsen the virus?? Also what percent were diabetic as in only on Metformin vs insulin dependant? That’s the real question. Not skin color. Huge numbers of blacks have hypertension, so who goes to the ventilator, Metformin ones or only the insulin dependent diabetics?
Here’s another thought … the ARDS (adult respiratory distress syndrome) in the lungs needing ventilation is at least in part not just pneumonia, but an “allergic” response and antibodies to the virus. Does the antibody response still continue to be there after the infection, still slowly destroying lung or is it just temporary ventilator damage. If it is antibody related, then even AFTER you have recovered it could still slowly destroy your lungs, kind of like lupus or Goodpasture’s syndrome. Not a good thought, needs more investigation. Not sure. I also think diabetics secrete the virus longer than the usual 7 days, so maybe testing needed before they go out of quarantine, to be sure they are not spreading it into the community.
Well keep isolating that’s the only way to stop the Italian curve.

There is much swamp to be drained.
The swamp’s publicity/entertainment/propaganda services are getting wrecked right now.
For example, A&AT (owner of Time Warner) took an emergency $5.5 billion loan to keep the lights on. Disney took a similar $6 billion dollar loan.
AMC Theaters are on the verge of collapse.
Diamond Comic Distributors is all but announced they are shutting down. This is the only distributors for comicbooks.
Universities and schools are shutdown.
Corporate media is having massive loss of ad revenue.
I could go on.
The democrats are screaming for a “media bailout”, though the GOP and Trump Administration are saying “no” to the idea. There is much swamp to be drained.
