    10.28.2014

    Good afternoon Fellows and Gents.

We require your opinion and would be grateful for it. No opinion on this matter will be frowned upon. Please be as direct as you wish.

One of our esteemed members (mostly a forum lurker – but site reader and visitor) contacted us about some words making the site register as “not work friendly”. In other words, colorful metaphors send off alarms that scream YOU CANT READ THIS HERE!!!! He was very clear about enjoying reading them but didn’t want to be auto emailed an alert from his place of business about our website not being a “safe space”. He wanted his email changed for this reason.

We actually went back and forth on this many times and want to know what you think.

Do you think we should eliminate 4-letter words (and such) from our articles, or spot-clean forum posts with automated friendly character inserts?

Yahoo and Facebook are the type of gynocrazy websites saturated with people who report “abuse”, delete sh*T and get “offended”. We don’t give a rat’s patoo-ey about them. But Yahoo will even censor 4 letter words and make them look like *****. This is to a point which is so ridiculous, they even edit perfectly legitimate words – like “negro”. Typing “nergo” on Yahoo is considered offensive and “racist”…. but donating money to the “United Negro College Fund” is perfectly acceptable and openly encouraged. Anyone can see the glaring hypocrisy in that.

See how it also becomes a problem?

On one hand, a good command of the English language makes it possible to virtually KILL with a few well chosen words, and no profanity is ever necessary. On the other hand, swearing also makes a good point …. a GREAT f~~~ing point.

    Thoughts?

This was originally suggested by me for those of us that have work emails, so that we’d have greater exposure to the material without getting in trouble at work. I think just having a disclaimer that there will be not commonly accepted language would be a good caveat so people that sign up as members don’t use a professional email to do so. That’s all.

Thanks for stepping forward Stanley, and happy to see you joined using another private email.
Your previous user has been deleted, and no association with your previous business address currently exists.

It’s a question we’ve been wanting to ask, and this is as good a reason as any. Thanks Stanley.
    A one-time alert is a good idea.

Personally, I love to swear. I also don’t believe that we should censor ourselves just to avoid offending someone. Nobody has a right to not be offended. Being offended at language is just whining disguised as altruism.

On the other hand……..I would gladly follow such rules of decorum in this forum if it meant that the message can be more freely distributed.

@vilenord Thats a surprise coming from you. I consider you Shakespeare of the f~~~ing forum and have only read the classiest s~~~ from you. But if you f~~~ing love to swear then I am f~~~ing standing f~~~ing next to you all the f~~~ing way, my good man. Decorum can lick me where I stink, really.

Thank you for your input. Big smile over here.

I only use profane language to get an extreme point across but I like to believe my command of the English allows my different avenues to proper self expression. It makes no difference if I can use certain words and if it makes this website more accessible sure censor it up. Ouch, I think I just felt the founding fathers roll over in their graves over that one…….

It goes against the spirit of MGTOW. Saying that though, I’ve been giving this some thought recently. A few years ago when I was a blue pill mangina I would have seen the use of language here as a way to rationalise ignoring MGTOW completely so I could go on worshipping the mother goddess. I think it comes down to what we are trying to achieve here. Are we here to talk to other MGTOW/TFL guys? or are we here to convert blue pill men?

The question of making this site work safe is moot. This site is not work safe. There is no way I would access this site at work even if the language is more acceptable. I knew a guy that was fired from a US laboratory for accessing a website on vegetarianism. This is a bit more controversial than that. Anyone looking at MGTOW material at work is playing with fire. Let’s not forget that we are all evil in the eyes of most people.

Let’s not forget that we are all evil in the eyes of most people.

I LOVE that. Galileo was “evil” and branded a heretic, exiled and sentenced to death (by the church) for proving the Earth is not the center of the Universe. But the Earth is not the center of the universe. It’s not even the center of the solar system!!

    “Most people”.

The truth is not determined by the number of people who subscribe to it.
When “most people” think you’re evil, you’re probably right.

Thank you for chiming in, Sigma.

Getting “offended”, I can see women jumping on that ban wagon, but because those f~~~ing c~~~s aren’t allowed in this awesome f~~~ing place, i say f~~~ um!. This place is therapeutic in a sense that we air s~~~ out, share stories, help other men swallow the red pill, and yes we F~~~ING swear. however, for myself if i really get into it, i gotta f~~~ing swear. As far as censorship goes i think in only threatening words and racist language should one be censored.

    I’m with Vilenord and Keymaster.

Here is a solution for individuals that want to filter profanity.

As a former Corporate  “What the f~~~ are you looking at on your workplace computer” In-House Police, it is absolutely foolish and ridiculous for someone to be looking at our site at work on company property….unless he wants to lose his muthafrucking job.

As stated, I worked for a company that occasionally conduct audits of employees’ internet usage at work.  One particular audit started because one dumb employee fruck head sent a chain tasteless joke that after many forwards…ended in the In-Box of a 13 year old kid outside the company. Of course, the company went the fruck off.  The company audited everyone….all 10,000 employees.  As you would imagine, some folks got a slap on the hand (i.e. Bible verses sent via email, selling Mary Kay to the IT team) while others got handed their walking papers (i.e. sending a bestiality picture to a co-worker, asking a coworker if you can try her breast milk straight from her left breast after giving birth…I guess the right breast looked frucked up).

I would imagine that a typical Vanilla employer would regard our site as misogynist and thus warrants either a stern reprimand or worse.

Let me put it another way…

Choose your Pill: “Sushi pay-check money” or “Oodles of Noodles” with Dollar Tree peanut butter on Food Stamps?

I choose the sushi that looks like Pussy.  Salmon Nigiri.

My advice: Don’t access this shiet on your work device or system network.  Muthafrucka.

In summary: Please don’t sanitize our site O Great Key Master…It’s fine…As Is. 🙂

I don’t know about you guys, but when I’m at work, I work. You’re taking your chances. I vote NO to censorship!

Simple solution to this problem as mentioned above, is never to open your email at work or use a different email that is safe.  Problem solved.  We are all adult’s here.  We should all be free to say things that might help others out.  I don’t have any problem with any type of language if it heals the person writing and helps other in the process.  The point of MGTOW is to heal and grow stronger as a free man going this own way, which include freely speak from your heart.

@keymaster, i have a the perfect solution for you 😛

As many video games have it, simply program in an “optional” profanity filter.

If going that route, i think that it should be disabled by default, as it does go against the mgtow way, and people might get the wrong impression if its enabled by default.

    First, don’t censor this forum.

Last – but most important – do your net surfing and emails on your personal smartphone. Or wait until you go home. Anything and everything that goes through your boss’s servers can be used against you. They do keep all your emails and a record of all the sites you visit. It’s required by a federal law.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

I’m absolutely against every form of censorship: censorship is typical of misandrists.
I access to this site exclusively with my own devices and my own internet connection, but I want point that I make so just because I’m a fan of privacy: in my workplace there aren’t females, and productivity is measured in number of goals reached, so even some usage of internet for porn (legal porn, of course) is tolerated 🙂 political correctness about internet usage is strictly related with the presence of bigots and sexuophobes in the workplace, and, obiouvsly, the major part of sexuophobes are females…

No censorship please, maybe a specific safe for work forum and enforce whatever rules you want there. Or maybe tag posts and articles as safe for work and let people search for those with the knowledge that the general forums are not safe.

This is a very good topic to discuss.

There are some that would advise us that use of profanities will make us appear “trashy” and every other stigma out there.

Then again, I doubt anyone here signed on to this just to give a damn about what society thinks of us.
