Reminds me something I heard on talk radio the other day. The host was theorizing that from a conservative viewpoint, our best/last home was todays teenagers and 20-somethings. It made his point based off info like this, and based on history.

Looking back to the 60s, when we started transitioning out of a traditional/conservative society into the progressive/liberal mess we have now, it was the teenagers and 2-somethings that caused the change. It was not the grown adults who were set in their ways. If there is one thing are good at, it’s rebelling against the establishment.

It’s difficult to imagine that rebelling against the establishment could mean opting for conservative values over liberal, but why not? It’s the youth figuring out that they don’t want the world the adults have made for them and chose to go a different way.

Of course, it’s only a theory, and we have not seen enough of this rebellion to believe that’s the case. As well, we aren’t going back to the 50s, but definitely not something as ridiculous as we have now.

As long as we get rid of the “safe space”-nonsense, I’m content.

This guy should know. Its not cool when your parents post on your s~~~ is it!

No young person wants their parents to stalk them on facebook especially when they can see everything your friends do with you in it.

Do you play billiards anonymousyam? 8 ball? I can’t count how many times your posts were off three banks straight in the pocket! Your critical thinking skills are impressive! Like watching Minnesota Fats!

I used to play when i had a pool table but generally no i don’t play much. Now what the f~~~ are with the exclamation marks?

Just an east coast asshole who likes to curse, If you get offended by words like fuck, cunt, shit, piss, bitch or any racial slurs then you just scroll down.

I remember when I learned about social media when MySpace was starting to grow. I was in college at the time. A buddy of mine showed me his MySpace page. He’s how the conversation went.

Friend: “Check out my MySpace page, Professor Chaos.”

Me: “What do you do with it?”

    Friend: “Communicate.”

Me: “I have a cell phone. I can communicate with who I choose to communicate with.”

Friend: “You can get pussy with it.

    Me: “How?”

Friend: “There’s hot bitches on there, brah.”

Me: “There are hot bitches everywhere.”

    Friend: “Everybody is on it.”

Me: “Not me. Seems pointless and an invasion of privacy.”

    Bunch of sheep…F~~~ social media.

I don’t quite see it in effect. As per my opinion, young people are using more and more social media. Bar a few of them with special problems.

Also don’t agree with “young women are pleasant” argument. Nope, hey are the same. Just like how oday’s post-wallers were “nice ladies” back in the 1950s. They are more egoistic and misandrist. Even if they are no misandrist, they pretend to be because if they are not, they’ll not get accepted into their feminist peer groups.

For the young guys. Stay off Facebook Twitter , whatever the job/ resume one is. I can’t really tell you why my advice is good, or why my advice is bad. In the old days, you could go to marti gras an do stuff that you would regret in your head. Now anyone can make you regret it to your face. To get a normal 21 year old “cleanish” on the web is 8 months with a pro and over 1 mil. You might not care, but one day you might want to have a passport.

Dump all that social s~~~. No cloud, no online banking. Cash till you can’t. Start now, use cash, especially young guys. I throw it out like sead, for one to find good soil.

When you find yourself in the majority, it's time to reflect.

I personally think the whole social media idea was a bad invention. I was on Facebook for just 2 days 2 years ago and after just 24 hours, it started to get scary as people I didn’t know where looking around and acting suspicious with my material. Besides, I don’t like the idea of a website where anyone can view my page needs to know every detail about my history since when and where I was born and where I lived in the past. That’s a bit nerve wrecking asking personal questions about the fullest history of your life and I don’t think any website should have that right to dig so deep into our lives and have everyone on it see it.

I think all social media and all the lack of communication skills that comes with it was a horrible idea.

I’d argue that social media has brought little in terms of positive impact on society. It has dumbed people down faster than TV.

I’ve always valued my privacy more than social interaction. I don’t think I am or have ever been alone on that front.

It seems every woman needs to be on face book just to get some kind of attention, and the more likes they get the more addicted they get to it. Just about all the women I know are on face book. They need and crave the attention. I think that’s why there on it.

Social media is female playground and mainly driven by females. It is a heaven sent to them. Before facebook, they had to operate as males, on assumptions, social cirles were closed, information was rare and not necessarily true. Now, once facebook came females made use of social media as almost necessary and gained stasi like inteligence network( with help of manginas and white knights ). Obviously, most of them got addicted, lol.

My social media strategy is that I stay off everthing, but i do have this hive obiding facebook account with no updates, gives me info about what is going on. Also love the who might be your friend suggestions, you really get to see how hive works and how intrapersonal relations work as this suggests people that were searching for you or visited your profile. Most of this visits from unknown people have meaning to my actions, mostly females which i now know better what they are after.

But all in all, social media just freaks me out, it directly attacks personal freedom. Linkedin, for example, was bought for 27.2 billion USD cash few months ago by Microsoft. Now that is to me at least unnerving, frigging database of work relations – i dont trust anyone any specially not Microsoft.

I agree. I spend plenty of time alone doing what I enjoy. People want to label it anti-social but I say that avoiding the ignorant and insufferable is anything but anti-social. It’s required for a healthy state of being.

Initially it looked like a good means for networking with other people, but in reality it’s just another stomping ground for the intellectually challenged. Now these people get to work on their social ineptitude as well as rotting their minds.

If you spend hours out of your day scrolling through memes and other idiotic content then you certainly have some form of affliction.

I agree. I rather go fishing, bike riding, weight lifting, or read a good book rather than melting my brain on Facebook like sites, because those activities are tranquil, keeps me feeling settled down.

The only one that benefited off of Facebook was that measly young punk Millennial Mark Zuckerburg and his little college pals. Who would of thought that brainwashing a billion people to join a meaningless site would create a multi-billion dollar empire?

I’ve always hated social media. I still have an account just to lurk at other family members posts, but I have nothing on my account to begin with. I don’t even have a profile picture on there.

Facebook is one horrible invention. I’m glad I never invested too much time into it. I used to use it for groups I went out with, but I’ve since left those groups.

Facebook is cancer. I hardly even waste my time lurking on there anymore.

Smart move by good ol’ Zuckie.

I am pretty sure he marketed it to women first; they were the real deal to push his site into stardom.

We have to give more credit where it due.
Seems like the millenials are catching on faster then those only half a generation older then them.
Maybe there is hope for them yet, but getting out of the s~~~ house society feminism has been allowed to create, it may take a lot of effort and decades to clean up.

Coming from the perspective of a millenial, being one myself … I must say, it’s ironic you should mention this. My parents in their late 50’s are the ones who tried to pressure me into making social media accounts, i refused to do so. I just don’t have any interest in what aunt betty made for lunch the other day, or who’s kid wet their bed the other night. There’s only so much of that crap a guy can take before he loses his mind, so i never did, and never will, use social media.

No I don’t think it’s really Millennials so much as the generation after them.
