People in this society are nosy to an annoying degree. They seek conformity because the opposite scares them. In conformity they see safety, shelter a way to escape the fear for survival. As many have said before, she was indeed projecting her own fears of not fitting in onto you. Assuming the reason you weren’t smiling like a jackass is the same reason she herself is sad. Very presumptuous indeed. Just imagine the gas she has after eating a bean burrito. That should be enough to ignore her ass.

That type of s~~~ you might hear from a woman during high school or college, but after that usually not. The more info you give about yourself, and the friendlier you appear, the more other people take that as an invitation to talk s~~~ to you.

If they get the feeling that they are inferior to you however, they tend to give you space. It is best to make people feel inadequate and beneath you. Not sure if there was anything you could have done there, but if you didn’t give off any sign then it’s not on you, it’s not on here.

You could have looked at her like she was a piece of s~~~ and told her you have no interest in her. But that’s about it.

Well, I just had the same body language I always have and it’s not like I was inviting conversation either. Some people(read: women and on rare occasions men) are just motormouths and want to talk to people and are oblivious to body language.

Sounds like flirting. I don’t get stuff like that personally, for the most part. I find being not normal, or trying to fit in, and demonstrating that you don’t have much money, is enough to drive women away. If some woman decided to go, “You need a girlfriend”, I would treat it as an initial round of bargaining, seeing what she would demand, and make a list of demands myself, she would have to meet. If what I had to give up wouldn’t be something I would give up, I wouldn’t.

The closest I managed to get this recently at work was one woman who asked me what I was looking for in a woman, and asking me if I would change. I am not changing for a woman. I said that pretty much to her. And nothing happened there. Life goes on.

As I see it, the point isn’t to need anything that causes dependence on anyone, so they can end up manipulating.
