I’m not a tradcon. Firstly, I’m not Christian. Like Thomas Paine wrote in “The Age of Reason”, I believe all national institutions of religion to exist for the consolidation of power and profit. I never believed in marriage, not even before MGTOW, because firstly I believed it to be religious, and I’m not, and secondly because I do not feel that the state has any business transforming a religious ceremony into a business contract. When we look at the institution of polygamy, and why it was criminalized, it was primarily a decision made by warlords to pacify their subjects because of the elitist hypergamy of women. The envy of the average man towards warlords and princes who had entire harems of women while they couldn’t even have a single wife or access to sex resulted in massive revolutions. The ruling class instituted monogamy (marriage) as a defense mechanism. Women still cheated, but it was rare, secret, and they wouldn’t leave unless they could flee far, far away with the man they fell in love with. Likewise many men were not faithful either; but most would not leave their wives.
