Wow, this is for real?

I have been a single father of a girl for over 4 1/2 years now. I’ve been a single father longer than I’ve been a married father. Since my wife decided she was no longer happy (I was no longer economically viable and didn’t want a second kid with her), she decided to divorce me.
How horrible, a divorce. I identified as a married man. Now what? But after giving her everything she desired (house, new cars, shopping trips, vacations), I was done giving her MORE stuff. I became an ATM. So, without her in my life, I’m a better father, and a better man.
I didn’t realize that I would have to fight her legally for 13 months just to get 42% physical custody and 50% legal custody. My lawyer said I had an uphill battle in the courts. Did I ever lay a hand on my wife in 9 years of marraige? No. Did I ever cheat on her, do drugs, stay out all night, NOT be a present and caring father? Nope. But I still had an uphill battle. Why was this? Because I was a man and I was disposable. But now, I’m raising such a smart girl, even she doesn’t want to be with her mother as much anymore. She sees her daddy as a MAN. I eat red meat, we go to baseball games, I don’t know what snapchat really is, and I don’t care. I don’t take selfies of myself. I’m pretty much a throwback to a man in the 1950’s. And she appreciates this.
I have to deal with my ex on a daily basis, mainly for our child. It is dreadful, but I MAN UP!
But for all these years, I thought I was the only one of my kind. Should I start wearing skinny jeans and watching Dancing With The Stars? Should I bend over backwards again to make yet ANOTHER woman happy? Nope.
I found this website, and now I am amazed and delighted that I’m not the only one out there. Do I still date… Yes, but very little and I’m very picky. Plus, I refuse to have anymore children, and if I ever get remarried, it will be with an airtight prenup.
This place is like the “Fight Club” except I don’t have to get punched in the face! It’s nice to find some place where I belong in a society that hates men like me, and values “mother” (whether they are good or not) to men like me who want to be good fathers.

Bro’ even I know little of US law, it’s common practice in court to declare prenups null and void ” because it’s overly beneficial to one of the parties”.
But what is the sense of an agreement if not to be in your favor?

It’s nice to have you. I like your analogy about this site being like fight club. But, you did have to get punched in the face to join. Just not by us. Identify totally with your post. I got punched in the head so many times by the feminazies & our ass-backwards society I ended up spending time in loonie bins which is not a lot of fun.
I mean you really can’t fight back against the system, but today & for a long time I have been free going my own way. I found this site by a friend who got out of a LTR & is living happily.
I am free of all meds. I am healthy, mentally, physically & emotionally & I live alone & love it.
I take care of myself. It was a hard lesson, but I learned it.
