There is not much that you can do. He is a grown man. However, you can tell him that you love him and respect him and that you support any decision that he makes and then help him make an informed decision by directing him to websites or books that explain the emotional and financial, pros and cons, of this type of situation. There are probably things written by other men who have done the same thing.

You know my brother bought a used RV and he really could not afford the maintenance, the gas, and the wear and tear of this huge home on wheels. However, rather than talk him out of it, I just asked him questions:
So how much is the insurance?
What is the gas mileage?
Are there any problems with it right now?
How many miles are on it now and how long do these type of vehicle run?
What is the cost of the tires?
Are there any sanitation costs for emptying out the toilet?

There are many others too. I did not grill him on all of the questions in one sitting but from time to time I would ask him several questions. I sent him a link to a cool website for RV owners that give him all kinds of tips.

Anyway, we are men and we need to respect each other since women do not respect us anymore.
OH and if he wants to test her, tell your dad to explain to this woman that he lost his fortune in the stock market (or somewhere) and that she will live on his social security check. See if she bails…lol

Something slightly less serious happened with my dad a few years ago. He started seeing a much younger foreign single mother from his church. It was no use at all trying to reason with him about the dangers and he wanted all his money to secure her affections -because he admitted fearing the age gap an saw money as the bridge. He then married her against all his children’s pleadings (in his words “to be sure he had secured her”) and now spends most of his money on her and her children. When I asked to borrow a small sum of money to put with 90% of my own buy a house offering to place 120% of the value of the sum in gold in his hands as security (I swore I will never sell my gold unless it is an emergency and I didn’t have enough fiat so I had to borrow something) he refused. I had to walk away form the purchase. He said he needed all his resources and he feared lending 1/120 of them to his own son for two years paying interest and backed by gold because if he lent to me, her daughters would ask to be given more (they are all studying bulls~~~ at university and travelling about saving Africans from themselves and such and it is expensive.

In short my dad proved there is no fool like an old fool. He is now a massive pussy beggar who is controlled, who spouts liberal bulls~~~, and who recently sold his prized landrover he had had for 3 decades to make way for a car he was buying her daughters. I hope he will be OK. I have given up the idea of getting any money on his death but I still worry about him.

I think an intervention is unlikely to do anything. However the time to intervene is early not later when he has been on a great trip, been treated like a king and has emptied his load multiple times into a much younger very willing woman. Then he will be seriously in love with her and in love with the idea of himself being such high SMV. He will then have invested his money and will feel on some level he has to make his investment worthwhile. The time to get him is now and hit him full force with all your siblings and all his friends beside you. “It doesn’t matter it will probably come to nothing” may be true but then again the only time you have any chance to save him from the likely outcome of it not coming to nothing is now.

That is the key right here.

You should open his eyes for the reality that once he has a “relationship” with this women he will assume her family. And that means YOU and WHAT IS HIS FAMILY NOW goes to second place.
