I thought I’d offer an interesting little update to my situation.

I decided Friday afternoon I’d go away for the weekend and told the wife via text message. My kids were at their mother’s (previous marriage) last weekend and I didn’t want to hang around getting the usually silent treatment, etc. As it turns out I had to come home late Saturday night b/c of an early Sunday morning commitment.

When I got home at 1AM after a 4 hour drive I found that the wife had moved out. The house is close to empty with the exception of my 2 sons rooms, my office items, and a few other items that were mine prior to our marriage. Yes, she took my dog and cat too.

Anyway, she also left her couch and bed and a few other things and it looked like she was planning on coming back Sunday to pick those up. She wasn’t expecting me home until Sunday afternoon.

    So what to do?

I went to Walmart at 3AM and bought 2 new deadbolt locks, installed them, changed the garage door codes, and put the rest of her stuff on the driveway. I decided to hold on to the couch and bed.

She also forgot to remove $2k from our joint savings account which I removed at 2am.

So now I am a FREE man. It was a bit shocking to come home to that but it makes it so much easier.

Gotta get the house ready to sell (I don’t need or want a 5 BR house), and get the divorce negotiated and then I can close this chapter of my life.

So close I can smell my sovereignty.

Hell yes, nicely done. Good luck with the house and negotiations.

I say why get together when separation is inevitable?

Take the shortcut and avoid together all together by not getting together to begin with.

It’s all bulls~~~, they make you yearn for freedom!

You’re not free if you yearn for freedom!

I don’t yearn for freedom because I’m free!

Congratulations on cleaning out the trash!

Trade her the couch and bed for the dog.

Ditto as well. It ain’t over til it’s over. You will probably see a level of evil from her that you didn’t know she had. Even though she was the one that moved out. Don’t expect logic from her, that goes out the window during a divorce.

The level of s~~~ storm she will give you is in direct proportion to the amount of oxygen you give it. Now is the time to measure your words, think five steps ahead. Get her to text you and screenshot them all. Everything she says to you now is evidence. Especially any threats. Keep your interactions short and professional. It’s just about assets and income at this point, and how to split them.

The opposite of love isn’t hate, it’s apathy. Don’t get emotional with her, it shows you still care. She WILL try to get you mad, don’t give her the satisfaction.

Good luck brother. Keep us posted.

Congratulations! You will love being on your own, I left my marriage and home in April and the first month or two was a little rough but now I am loving life. Since getting divorced I have been able to buy a new motorcycle, get a kick-ass new gaming computer and I have just been much happier overall. Welcome to MGTOW, I suspect you will never want to go back to the plantation once you taste the sweet freedom. 🙂

I’m still waiting on my certificate of freedom from the courthouse.

Last time I heard the paperwork was at the judges office, sent by the magistrate a week ago, to be signed.

    I should see it soon.

All my life I've had doubts about who I am, where I belonged. Now I'm like the arrow that springs from the bow. No hesitation, no doubts. The path is clear. And what are you? Alive. Everything else is negotiable. Women have rights; men have responsibilities; MGTOW have freedom. Marriage is for chumps. Glad that your wait is over and I hope that your upcoming separation does not weigh too much upon you and your children. Very smart move on changing all the locks and combinations.

When you have the time document the items that she took from the house and try to estimate what the replacement value might be. Include those items she picked up Sunday.

In the event that the divorce becomes contested, you have value on those items that she took with her. Hopefully you won’t need it, but one never knows.

    Best of luck.

Good point. Take some pictures of the rooms now and go back and see if you have any pictures taken in those rooms. Have a Thanksgiving picture taken around the table that she took? Perfect.

Those pictures will help prove what she took out of the house.

Yup especially if she is on the losing ends of the stick. Might take it out on the pets.

I was gonna post a thread about my ex-brother in law, and I will, but briefly, at the time in his late 30’s, his younger model looking wife 23 or so. He came home from work one day, WITH NO IDEA THAT ANYTHING WAS EVER WRONG!!! WTF!!!

He’d just installed brand new double glazed windows HIMSELF, he was always doing something like knocking through walls etc, cause he loved to work and IMPROVE his house. Bloody handy bloke.

He turned the key in the front door lock to enter, and knew something was wrong; the sound of the key in the lock sounded different, kind of echoing,……he opened the door and his B*TCH, had taken EVERYTHING, including the F*CK*NG CARPETS……

I forgot, She did leave him the marital bed, and his stack hi-fi system.

Will post up the full story, here soon fellas.

    These are not emotional breakdowns.

This stuff is premeditated well in advance. They don’t just do things without through planning. They don’t leave a source of revenue/security without another lined up. About the only time anyone does that is if life is in actual danger of being killed.

This s~~~ is premeditated and they were waiting for an easy time to take as much “jointly owned” stuff as they possibly could. That is preplanned.

Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.
