    I had thought that the gambling one could backfire (maybe not if its just a one off bad night at the Casino and not a regular habit/addiction) worked for that guy I know but true its a bit riskier if you are going for joint custody (or joint parental responsibility as they call it now).

    Still, your missing/presumed stolen option sounds better, with the new car option might be worth checking out if she can demand half of its worth and if you may have to sell it to give her half of its value.

    Say if I went out and spunked 30k on a nice car. Depreciation by the time a judge sees us = 25k. Half of the asset = pay her 12.5k.

    So I pay 12.5k for a 30k motor? I know it’s half arsed illogical thinking but this bizzare world is reality now.

    It would be the last car I ever buy probably as I’d only use it on weekends.
