@TwoStep, I agree with you to a point. There is wise relationship advice out there, but none of them are full proof by any stretch. The nature of the marriage contract, the nature of women, and societies views on acceptable female behavior are all working against you. Even if you act accordingly, following sound advice, it’s still completely up to her whether the relationship/marriage fails or succeeds. Following good advice can increase your odds, but you still end up with s~~~ty odds.

So I’d say, if you’re married, then follow wise advice. Otherwise the best advice is don’t do it.

Ok. Then do it.

There’s an industry that provides relationship advice (for all kinds of relationships: friendships, family, marriage, business). The stuff that comes from feminists and manginas is very bad, to the point of malpractice.

Having been through marriage counseling, I have a grudge against the standard crap that counselors tell you in most marriage counseling settings. Stuff like telling men not to solve problems or give advice; just listen and empathize. Meanwhile, there actually exists some good relationship advice for those who want it, if you know where to look.

But obviously none of this is a REASON to get married. I was just riffing on the flaws in the video in the OP and pointing out that there is actually GOOD relationship advice available, if needed. Even if one never gets married, one can use that kind of knowledge in other relationships in one’s life.

this is just another way for women to excuse their bad behaviour (like children do) ie “I wouldn’t have cheated if you had done x, so it isn’t my fault”
