CV – I do not ostracize your will to connect to others, I feel most introverts logically believe extroversion tends to be the norm and they do not ostracize it. I do not feel that the opposite behavior should be demeaned however as well. My life has taught me that nearly all individuals hold (some) strengths beyond my comprehension. I wish to learn what I do not know from them.

I am also an extrovert. Extroverts tend to just be more extroverted. We tend to be louder. But its really more about what fuels you than anything else. I talked to an older friend who both worked with both Bill Clinton and Al Gore. Gore was more of an introvert and Clinton more of extrovert. Clinton would be energized by those around him to the point of not being able to sleep for hours after speeches. Gore was the exact opposite and being around people would drain him to the point of going to bed. Both are very successful its just how they were.

I’ve met some introverts who’s passion without break from doing something alone I do envy. An introverts passion for something he did so alone created(WITHOUT BREAK!) is amazing. I can have the same passion but I need a night out and connections. I personally use the Pomodori method to work in a large part because I am an extrovert.

You can never be as extroverted as a natural extrovert but public speaking such as toastmasters will teach you to speak you as well as the introverted Steve Jobs.

@FG: A lot of extroverts really don’t understand your side of the fence and vice versa. In my family, extroverts are in the minority so I learned from a very young age how to relate to introverts. My Father and I were the only extroverted ones. I do highly technical work and introverts seem to dominate there too. I’ve gotten more than a few snide remarks from my peers over the years about talking too much and being a salesman. It’s just the way our brains are wired. I think it takes both types to make things work properly. I’m in solitude mode tonight as I’ve been working my tail off the past few days with 0430 start times. Seriously, as long as you enjoy your life other people’s opinions do not matter.

I also know some extroverted people that are hobbled by it. They cannot enjoy being alone.

This holds no weight as if you don’t fall in lock step of what society thinks you should be doing, you have a ‘mental disorder’.

Can you blame anyone who wants to an introvert in these modern times? What a f~~~ed up, narcissistic culture. Selfies, peoples inflation of how cool they think they are, assholes who think they’re MMA/UFC fighters, women you just turned 40 carrying on like retards because it’s their birthday, etc. You simply can’t even just walk into a bar like the old days and enjoy a beer without being surrounded by douchebagery.

I’ll keep to myself, thank you.

    Introversion/Extroversion

    Yin/Yang

In life, duality’s exist….just the way it is. You have to find harmony, or it eventually eats you up.

Who care what someone else thinks?

I myself would be considered a introvert, but I refuse to focus on what some other person says is right or wrong.

Common morality throughout society is always changing and morphing into other things. Thats why I dont follow the herd or fall for any of their nonsense.

Introverts are hated in the workplace because they’re not seen as team players.

I will say this, from experience (I tend to be introverted, meaning I very much don’t mind being alone, and getting energy from that), and what I know about psychology, based on personal research and college classes I took on it.  Also, it comes from personally battling depression, and having to overcome that, so I had to throw everything and the kitchen sink at battling depression and finding meaning when everything fell apart and going through immense bad luck.  And with myself, I am articulate, so I communicate well, and work with others like that, but I don’t draw energy from it.  So, I guess stuff like doing a YouTube channel works for me.  I can speak by myself and share with the world.

So, what I can say about why an introvert would be subject to mental disorders in a way that an extrovert won’t is that, an introvert is likely to keep looking withing and not without, and remains withdrawn.  When they get hit with problems in life, and don’t have a support network, a spiral of depression can kick in, and mental disorders come up to try to cope and manage.  An extrovert can ride on the emotions of others and what others thing, and get a separate perspective that can help.  I am not saying this can happen all the time, or will happen all the time, but it is one reason why.

I would say that for an introvert, it is critical you build a frame of the world that works for you and is empowering and filter out the negative garbage the would will feed you to manipulate you.  You need to stay on guard for this.  You can stand stronger than others when things go bad, but you are also at risk of things going bad inside, even if the outside is great.

Anyhow, that is my take on this.  It doesn’t need to happen, but it can.

    – Why do Introverts have mental disorders?

    – Because extraverts think that people around them are crazy, but introverts find the crazy in themselves.
(not necessarily true, but thought this was funny/ironic)

Stealthy, I understand your standpoint. It is nice to have inferiors obey to superior standpoints (as harsh as it may sound).

Hi, my name is Oaken1 and I am an introvert. Mental disorders?? Sure….so what? A smart person would see that as a valid reason to just leave me the f~~~ alone,….let me be,…stay away. Unfortunately there are not very many smart people in the world. I have Asperger’s Syndrome,…minor Tourette’s, and ADHD…. I bounce off the walls all inside my head and do not have the communication skills to explain it to anyone else….I have sensory input issues so I stay away from crowds….I always say the wrong thing and I lack emotional empathy so I stay away from one on one situations as well. On the occasion I get myself focused however I am extremely creative……I was a straight “A” student all through high school and finished college with a 3.87 GPA.while working 50 hours a week…… I was born with those “Disorders” and they help me be who I am and have not really “reduced” me as an individual….”enhanced” is a better word I think. However,…when you consider I was molested four different times before I was 10, three times by females and once by a man…then I was raked over the coals and completely ass raped by the courts on two separate occasions during divorce…..told by my Director at work I can not get the promotion I earned because I am a white male, and she cannot put any more white males into management until someone quits,….Yeah, I am a pretty angry, bitter, f~~~ed up individual…..but birth didn’t do it to me, lol …being an introvert if anything, actually helps me maintain my sanity…the world f~~~ed me up… everybody has “Mental Disorders” but the created ones in my opinion are far worse for people than the natural ones.

This is a beautiful thing here. Because whatever others think ….. means nothing but s~~~.

You are you … and whatever your flaws … they are balanced by amazing gifts and insight.

You can’t be a genius unless a little ‘mad’ because that thinking outside the box only comes from that.

I would rather have a experimental company full of ‘nutters’ then anyone else because they and only they have the vision and understanding of what’s ‘out there’ that we blinkered minions can’t see.

Celibate your life and f~~~ anyone that tries to change it.
