Hi broz. Today I want to touch upon a subject that will undoubtedly be controversial here. Let’s talk about global climate change. I’m using that term since it is more accurate than “global warming”.

“… but isn’t global climate change fake?”
    nope

“… but is it caused by human activity?”
    yes

“… but is it a big deal?”
It certainly is. Global climate change will devastate agriculture, leading to food shortages. Wars will be fought over the remaining food. Even the US military has planned for this.

“Didn’t the climate change several times during prehistory?”
It certainly did, but these changes usually happened over millions of years. When the climate does change quickly, mass extinctions occur. This mass extinction has already begun.

In summary, climate change is real. It is caused by humans and it is a big deal.

Here’s the question we need to ask ourselves: Can we deal with this?

This is where I sorta conflict with environmentalists. Global climate change will basically turn the world into the wasteland from Mad Max. Liberals usually jump to the conclusion that this is a bad thing. We don’t need to do that.

Consider the following: Living in the post-extinction wasteland might actually be fun. The wasteland will probably be a goldmine of primitivism and neo-tribalism. It will likely be patriarchal too. We might actually enjoy the end of the world as we know it. When our world ends, we might feel fine.

What is the alternative? The alternative is stopping global warming. This can only be achieved with strict government regulations. Certain manly thinks like motorcycles and Hummers will be phased out in favor of public transit. The meat industry will become heavily regulated because cows produce greenhouse gasses when the burp and fart. This will drive up the price of meat. In such a world, many men will go into the woods and become hunters to feel like men again.

In other words, the future of men lies in neo-tribalism and neo-primitivism. If we don’t stop global warming, we will become neo-primitives. If we do stop global warming, we will become neo-primitives in a different sort of way.

So … which future do we want? If we don’t aim for one, we get the other. I cannot stress this enough.

First it was “global warming”… and then when it actually got cooler, they couldn’t get funding any more so they started calling it “climate change”. Very convenient.

HEY IT’S HOTTER!!! CLIMATE CHANGE!!! ”
HEY IT’S COLD!!! CLIMATE CHANGE!!! ”

There is “climate change” happening every day outside my window, I’m not terribly concerned about it, own a few pairs of shorts and some sweaters to adjust to “climate change”. I also have an umbrella in case the climate changes to rain. There isn’t a single human on Earth that’s going to change that.

These people who are so self-important that they think they can prevent or alter climate change haven’t even accepted the the human race wouldn’t even EXIST if the Earth was further or closer to the sun.

We haven’t even learned take care of each other yet, but some arrogant f~~~s think they can “save the planet”???

It’s because of pirates. Sadly, we can’t revert fighting pirates at this point, that would require a global change in politics and law.

All we can do at this point is buy clothes that best suit to the WEATHER and if it all fails, we will join the dinosaurs and over9000 other species that died trough millions of years of climate changing.

    Ok, well… I’m no scientist and no neo-tribalist either…

I was a huge hold out and fought the idea of climate change for a long time. I have recently begun to accept that yes, there is a change in process, and yes it is likely caused by man-made emissions from coal burning and other industrialization, as well as a depletion of the forests around the world.

Is it going to end as drastically as some predict? I can’t say… but my difficulty is the the Henny Penny crap that the world is going to end. Humans terraform our planet now… we change things and make things more comfortable for ourselves, which is why we are no longer just ‘animals’. So what is to prevent us from teraforming the world and fixing the issue? Or changing our environment (i.e.-how we live, not the planet) to accomodate the changes? These changes are faster than evolution normally happens right now, but whose to say we can’t evolve faster to accommodate them?

I’m really torn on this issue… and I blame the pirates (that one I liked a lot). I think we need to conserve where we can, I agree we do a lot of environmental damage, and we need to limit it where we can, but asking everyone to give up their cars and air conditioning isn’t going to win any friends or supporters…

So let’s SCIENCE everyone! And come up with a solution! You know… do those non-feminine jobs and come up with some SOLUTIONS with SCIENCE!

No longer can we walk away, we must run. Remove the motive power.

If you’re a tree hugging liberal you should want to take care of what mother nature gave you. If you’re a Bible thumping conservative you should want to take care of what God gave you.

It seems like we are arguing over two questions when the answer to both questions are the same.

We should resist the programming. We should make sure nobody tries to tax carbon emissions – it’s a scam.
We should also try to stop geoengineering

Hmmmmmmm, I wonder if taxing our ways of life will benefit a small few or the masses.

    It depends: Who gets taxed?

This is one of the major reasons why so many people hate taxation. The billionaires pay almost no taxes because their businesses are “too big to fail”. Thus, the tax burden is largely placed on the middle class.

After that, the assclowns on Fox News claim that the biggest welfare queens of the system are poor people from the ghetto. In reality, the biggest welfare moochers are big businesses. Thus, the elites have created an artificial conflict between the middle class and the lower class. Meanwhile, the upper class laughs all the way to the bank.

We are increasingly living in a system where small businesses can’t compete with big business because big businesses are subsidized. Subsidized businesses are essentially extensions of state power.

We are increasingly living in a world where starting and maintaining you own business is damn near impossible unless you were born with a silver spoon up your ass. Most people are essentially forced to work for big business.

The system needs to be changed. The tax burden needs to fall primarily on the billionaires … or else this manufactured conflict between the middle and lower classes will persist in perpetuity.

These people who are so self-important that they think they can prevent or alter climate change haven’t even accepted the the human race wouldn’t even EXIST if the Earth was further or closer to the sun.

That may be true, but it doesn’t change the basic fact that we are dumping in the order of seven BILLION metric tons of CO2 into the atmosphere every year. And that doesn’t include natural sources. Our natural carbon sinks (plants, algae etc) normally would keep the CO2 in balance, but there’s no way they can absorb this much.

The problem is that the carbon atom on every one of those molecules grabs extra energy from the sun and holds onto it. This introduces more energy into the weather systems and speeds up the whole thing causing wider swings in BOTH hot and cold, at least in the near term.

The eventual trending is toward warming, but not without a LOT of cycles in both directions. Think of it like a ’79 FORD LTD that’s flooded.

Just like the wife who sits there holding the gas pedal down and cranking the starter – “There can’t possibly be too much gas – the engine is dying,” are the idiots that sit there in a severe snowstorm and say global warming isn’t real because “look how cold it is and all this snow.”

For a long while, it’s going to make the snowstorms AND the droughts more severe. That’s why they switched to calling it “climate change” – ignorant redneck jackoffs were too stupid to understand the concept of higher amplitude in both directions of a sine wave.

You can measure how much extra energy is being trapped in the system pretty accurately and that’s where they get the models from. What we really need is a carburettor rebuild, but for now at least take our foot off the f~~~ing gas pedal or at least try feathering it.

Now THAT is a really good point. Personally, I think it’s a self-solving problem in the end. By my calculations, allowing for even a liberal estimate of world proven reserves of oil, we will run out in about 30-35 years. We’re not making any new great oil discoveries. Even that one down south of Mexico that everyone made a big deal out of a few years back, if you do the math, it only has TOTAL about enough to power the US for about 6 months.

And my calculations assume that nobody in OPEC is lying about their total reserves so they can sell more oil short term (how much their allowed to sell per year is set based on proven reserves), AND that there is no increase in consumption.

Both of those are very likely false, but there’s no really good way to figure for it, so I left them out.

Coal on the other hand, could keep us beltching CO2 for generations…..

Bingo. C02, we exhale it, plants inhale it. How do we control every single person in the world? Make up some bulls~~~ story, they will never notice the temperature on the other planets fluctuate on the same cycle, Tax the f~~~ers to breath. Make it so expensive to travel, the little f~~~ers will never leave their hometown. And, once they throw away all their books and record everything they know on the Internet, we take that away from them too and in three generations, they will be back to the Stone Age.

The powers that be already figured that the best way to control population and production is via energy pricing (just look at Europe’s gasoline and utilities prices). But the problem they recently ran into – was failure to control the output. So now they want to roll-out this scheme worldwide using added arbitrary tax on emissions.
The easiest way to debunk this nonsense – is to point out that: even if anthropogenic global warming was real, no amount of money paid to Al Gore and his cronies would help fix this problem.

Yep. There is this guy called Martin Armstrong. Built an AI computer and went to jail cause he wouldn’t give it to the government. 7years

anyway, his multi billion AI computer he built and programmed himself tracks all world capital flows, weather….everything. He inputed monetary history to back befor Roman times. Anyway, his computer says entering a mini ice age now. Check out his site, very cool

Oh god… there are people here who believe this s~~~.

    Ok…

    1) There is no proven link between CO2 levels and increasing or decreasing temperature.

There are only several things which affect earths temp. A) the sun B) the eccentricity of earths orbit C) Volcanism D) s~~~ we have not discovered yet

    2) The climate will always change. Notice that much of human civilization leaps occurred during warm periods. Note that the Medieval Warm period was the birth of the Renaissance and the beginning of western civilization. We are not even CLOSE to that temp and humans back then sure as s~~~ were not driving around in corvettes or burning oil. There were less than 600 million humans alive back then.

    3) Anyone who calls “climate change global warming” a settled science and we need only to look for solutions needs to A) turn in their Scientist Card B) Turn in their Man Card This is about MONEY. Politicians like fear. It makes people give up money and their freedoms so they can feel safe. What better way than to co-opt the science community to spread fear by throwing wads of money at them (22 billion a year) so they yip and roll over on command.

Not all scientists agree with climate change global warming. You think 1 or 2? No, over 31,000.

Here is a link to peer reviewed paper. Written by several Ph.d’s who I admit are a f~~~-ton smarter than me. However I read both sides and took 9 years to finally make up my mind.

My conclusion? We need to do more science on climatology. It’s not a settled science. We are still learning and we must stop anyone from preventing the advancement and discussion of science.
