I put this comment in the previous thread and I’m putting it here as well.

Just recently we seem to be getting topics that could be used to portray us Heavily Armed, women hateing Neo Nazi nut jobs.

I’m not comfortable with this line of questioning. It would be so easy to do a cut n’ paste job to label us as extremists rather than realists which is why I came here.

I trust the more experienced members to make the call on this one, but I know which way I’m leaning.

For my long range I use the Ruger enhance precision in .308, s~~~ name for a gun but the gun itself is amazing.

For my mid range/zombie apocalypse type of shooting I use my IWI Tavor in .223, best gun I ever owned and destroys any AR platform.

For my short range I have my trusty 9mm glock.

I don’t have a favorite any more than I have a favorite wrench. It depends on the application and what I have available.

I love the AR platform in carbine chambered in 5.56 for ease of use. 308 for effectiveness. For Longer Range I’ve been a fan of .300WinMag and the .308Nato platform. I have never had the opportunity to shoot a .50Cal like a Barrett but I really want to!
