Chivalry is not dead and will never die. Feminists and others of the same ilk could never kill Chivalry.

If anyone thinks Chivalry is dead, they are most likely a woman.

The benefits if Chilvalry to women are now gone, but Chivalry is still here. Why? The reason the benefits of Chilvalry to women are now gone is because most women are anything but women. A women who is appreciative, respectful and feminine, the type women we were raised to think of all of them as being, is nothing but a fantasy. If you come across the few such women who are worthy of the benefits of Chivalry, then treat them to the benefits of Chivalry, otherwise, the remaining strong independent women can continue on being strong independent women. Whats that saying about fish and a bicycle?

Like I have said before, the fantasy of women is much better than the current reality of women.

Chivalry is about a code of conduct that a MAN lives HIS life by. He lives by that code irrespective of how others conduct themselves.

A classic definition would include qualities such as courage, fair play, honor, courtesy, and help/protection for the weak.

A problem arises when exercising one of the element of there code leads to a violation of another.

A man opens a door ahead of women to show courtesy. Not to demonstrate dominance. But exactly the opposite, to signal a restraint on that dominance.

But if being courteous leads to having one’s honor insulated, publicly, one of the two has got to give. One has to prevail.

As men, we have decided to retain our honor, in a culture where women are dishonorable. So we don’t extend many courtesies at this time.

How can a woman be expected to be happy with a man who insists on treating her as if she were a perfectly normal human being.

The problem with the old time argument was women were not as free in those olden days and that is why they respected men (men generally had more power and control over their wife and family however it has been slipping since the 1800’s so when these old women grew up it was just barely alive).
