I’ve got it all planned out. Work hard now till my kid turns 18. Then, never see or talk to my ex EVER AGAIN. Move to the country, build a house with a wrap around porch. Raise a few cattle. Get a horse. Get a coyote. Train the coyote to be my personal pet. Watch the sunset every evening.

get a hyena. I heard they make vicious pets. nice deterrent

    Doing what I do now:

    -waking up
    -working out
    -making breakfast
    -watching news
    -going work
    -hanging out with friends
    -coming home
    -watch movies
    -bed

Versus what I was doing 6 months ago:

    -waking up
-take the bitch to work (cause she has no car)
-miss workout cause the class was on when I had to take her to work
    -making breakfast
-skip news since I’m short on time and have to work MORE hours to buy bitch stuff
-work work work work work to buy bitch stuff
-dont hang out with friends cause bitch nags
-come home to hear nagging about her co-workers
-try watch something while she nags
-put her to bed like a school girl

    LMAO.

Very similar, before and after. The hurry-up I used to get in the gym from her, annoyed me constantly.

Such a relief isn’t it? Coming home to your place, without having to deal with a b1tch.

Beer you are the f~~~ing legend. I always wanted to say that
The only problem with retirement I have – is that you’re trading fun now to fun when you’re old later. And fun when you’re old is very limited fun indeed. I do admire your long term forward-perspective though. Unfortunately, many people save for retirement hoping and dreaming for long years to come, but then they go ahead and then die young – for one reason or another. You don’t want to be one of them. It’s a balancing act. A lot of people poop on the concept of instant gratification, but the truth is, that hoarding and putting off life completely is an extreme approach also. You need to have a healthy mix of enjoying yourself and saving
Don’t listen to me, I’m drunk and high right now.

I have to agree, it is a balancing act. I am guilty of the same. I put off most gratification in my 20- early 30s. Up side is I’m ahead of the game with a paid off house, 15 years into my pension plan, and maxed out retirement savings portfolio. Now I’m starting to loosen up. I could die tomorrow and I can’t say that I have truly lived.

Personally, I’m starting to love life since my divorce. I don’t need much and am a minimalist. I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I’m spending about 5k on travel each year.

I’m really safe about it, but I also enjoy f~~~ing 20 somethings; basically girls 15-18 years younger. I guess I’m making up for lost time. This is done while travelling under an assumed name.

Like beer, I would like to grow my portfolio and live off dividends. Passive income I’m looking at obtaining 50-60k/a in dividends by the time I’m about 50. My pension kicks in a 55. Between the 2 I should have around 100k/a in passive cash flow. I figure Gods willing, with good health, I can travel for about 10-15 years.

Then maybe I’ll knock up a hot 20 something in my 70s. By the time she qualifies for lifetime alimony I’ll be dead. 😜

In general good life is quite contemplation, good coffee, spending time with my nieces and nephews, spending time at the beach and working out.

Eyeswideopen, you’re also a legend. I’m way behind you guys
My career didn’t work out, so I didn’t save anything. I did, but everything I saved I spent on my family attempts and criminal enterprises. Now I’m just going blue collar. I might switch back one day to white collar, but I’d rather own my own biz than work 9-5 at some corporate s~~~
